DoorDash crashes nationwide — users fume as outage hits during peak hours: ‘Worst time to go down!'

DoorDash, one of the most popular food delivery apps in the United States, is seemingly facing a mass outage. At around 3:46 am CT, complaints began to crop about the app no longer being responsive, and as of 7 am, DoorDash is yet to formally acknowledge the outage.
Users have since flocked to social media to express their displeasure and frustration at the app's unresponsiveness. Some of them complained about how the outage had occurred at 'the worst possible time', while others claimed that DoorDash should compensate Dash Pass users with a 50% discount for the inconvenience.

DoorDash's mass outage is making a splash on social media
According to DownDetector, reports of the DoorDash outage began circulating around 3:46 am CT with 200 complaints made. As of 7:30 am CT, these complaints have skyrocketed to over 5,000. It isn't just customers who've been facing issues, with the Dasher app used by DoorDash drivers also causing problems.

Users on social media have also been commenting extensively on the app's outage with user angelkiyomii saying that the app went down at the worst possible time. The user's order issue was eventually resolved a few hours later.
Doordash picked the worst time to go down country wide 😭im so thirsty and finally ordered drinks and now its just.. nothing.. for an hour and a half. No updates🥲 its had 1500 reports of problems in the last hour and on the app every store is closed and my order is stuck waiting
User WhoShotYouu said that she always makes sure to check on Twitter when an app isn't working. As she put it, DoorDash malfunctioned on her end by showing all the stores as closed, and sure enough, the app's outage was trending.
See, anytime any of my apps aren't working, i come STRAIGHT to twitter. I got on Doordash and all the stores show as closed and i look in the trending and Doordash app is down 😂
User ohitshammy pointed out that DoorDash was also down for drivers and customer support, so anyone who's order was disrupted would struggle to get refunds.

DoorDash driver aritahasanii revealed that the Dash app had an outage while she was in the middle of delivering an order. While she nonetheless finished the delivery, her earnings were yet to be reflected, causing her no end of frustration.
It just went down for me about 15 mins ago in the middle of an order! I delivered the food and finished the order and the payment isn't even on my earnings page yet 🙄 worst customer service it's absolutely INSANE for a company as huge as door dash
DoorDash hasn't yet responded to the outage
Despite DoorDash's outage being widely reported on social media, as well as news outlets, the app's official social media page has yet to respond to this incident. The app's support account also has not mentioned any mass outage, though it is responding to individual complaints.
