FIBA 3x3 World Cup to be held in Poland in 2026

Mohamed Mandour
FIBA and the Polish Basketball Federation (PZKosz) announced that Warsaw, the vibrant capital of Poland, will host the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 – marking the first time the country welcomes 3x3's flagship event.
Set against the backdrop of one of Europe's greenest and most dynamic urban centres, the tournament will bring together 40 of the best men's and women's national teams from across the globe, celebrating the fast-paced, high scoring action of 3x3 basketball in a major European city. The event is set to take place in the heart of downtown Warsaw, adjacent to the iconic Palace of Culture and Science, one of the tallest buildings in Europe.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Warsaw, with FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, PZKosz President Grzegorz Bachański, and city representatives in attendance.
'Bringing the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Warsaw for the first time highlights Poland's strong commitment to 3x3 basketball,' said FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis. 'With its proven success in organizing top-tier events, Poland is a natural choice. We look forward to seeing the world's best 3x3 players compete here on this global stage.'
"We are glad that the highest-ranking event, the FIBA 3x3 World Cup, will come to Warsaw. The modern capital of our country will be the perfect place for this tournament.' Said President of Polish Basketball Federation Mr. Grzegorz Bachanski.
This announcement also builds on Poland's recent success as a host. In 2023, the city of Lublin staged the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup, an event that drew praise for its atmosphere, fuelled the growing popularity and competitiveness of 3x3 basketball nationwide.
Poland has established itself as a serious contender on the global 3x3 stage. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Poland's men's national team finished 6th, building on their debut performance in Tokyo and demonstrating exceptional resilience and teamwork. The women's national team continues to deliver impressive performances at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.
The FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 promises not only elite competition but also a festival-like atmosphere in the heart of Warsaw—uniting sport, culture, and the global 3x3 community.

Inter Milan Shift Transfer Focus from Lookman to Roma's Kone

Rana Atef It was reported that Inter Milan may change the focus of their transfer from Atalanta's Ademola Lookman to Roma midfielder Manu Koné. According to Sky Sport Italia, citing FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri are now waiting for a green light from owners Oaktree Capital before making a move. The 24-year-old France international emerged as a surprise candidate for Inter's midfield rebuild. The club views him as an ideal fit for the holding role, particularly in a double-pivot system—something that current options like Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Çalhanoğlu are less naturally suited to. Roma, for their part, are reportedly open to listening to offers for the player, which has prompted Inter to sense a potential opportunity. This change in direction comes after frustration in negotiations for Lookman. Inter had identified the Nigerian international as a priority attacking reinforcement this summer, but their bid was turned down by Atalanta. With talks stalling, the club has opted to reallocate those funds toward strengthening the midfield instead. Lookman's situation has been one of the more high-profile stories of the Italian transfer window. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
