But when Kim entered this property, she gasped in
horror
and reeled at the stink and flith.
She then turned to co-star Aggie and delivered a typically robust reaction: "Dear God, this is a rathole, isn't it?"
A confused Kim then asked: "How does she cook?," before spotting a hob hidden under piles of rubbish.
Aggie was left equally repulsed and exclaimed: "Oh the stink."

As they ventured through the property, Kim looked disgusted at the sight of huge cobwebs, floors and furniture littered with clothes, junk and rubbish and a TV set caked in thick dust.
She took her finger and wrote the word "filth" on the dusty screen.

After initially being left horrified, the pair got to work disposing bags of rubbish and rolling their sleeves up to get rid of the dirt.
In true Kim fashion, she was able to leave her mark on the house after transforming it into a spick and span haven.
On Tuesday, the TV favourite and a much-loved personality was flooded with tributes after her death was announced.
They included fans watching the Penzance episode online.
One said: "Rest in Peace, Kim. A true national treasure. You will be missed" while another added: "Iconic. Legend. Will never be forgotten."

passed away yesterday following a short illness.
"Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person.
"Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate.
"We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.
"We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve.

SHE was the Queen of Clean long before influencers like Mrs Hinch and Marie Kondo.
Kim Woodburn, the domestic goddess who got Britain scrubbing and organising their homes died yesterday, age 83.
Along with friend Aggie MacKenzie, she pioneered the TV genre with How Clean Is Your House?
The pair would don their rubber gloves and go into the most disgusting homes to help out the owner with Kim's catchphrase 'scrub dear, don't
tickle.'
Becoming a beloved television star was not really on the cards for the young Hampshire girl.
She was brutally honest about her incredibly difficult childhood and how she overcame them to become one of TV's highest paid
presenters.
Born Patricia McKenzie in Eastney, Portsmouth, just before the end of the Second World War she was physically abused by both her mother,
Mary, and father, Ronald.
Kim said: 'I have no memory of him ever kissing me or holding me in his arms like I saw other dads doing with their children.
'He never once sent me a card on my birthday or a note to say he was missing me.
'My mum didn't really care very much. I was the youngest of two daughters and my mother, who drank a lot, made it clear she preferred
my sister Gloria to me.
'My mother's favourite expression was, 'If I'd known what you were going to be like, I would have sent you back'.'
As she grew older she learned her father was a serial womaniser who 'had a reputation for being as randy as a butcher's dog.'
He then started sexually abusing her.
She said: 'My dad was a Royal Marine and a rough and naughty man.
'He'd have a touch of the old naughty bits with me when he could get away with it. I was very young and I remember my mum used to beat
me with the carpet brushes.
'I never told her, I didn't know how to. When I was a little girl, we didn't discuss that.'
Kim went on to star in a number of shows including I'm A
Celebrity
Get Me Out of Here in 2009 and Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
She also regularly appeared on ITV's Loose Women and This Morning.
Her husband posted a sweet video on
this morning, captioned: "My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love, xx xx."
Tributes have today flooded in for the reality TV star who was a "force of nature".

A post on her Instagram account read: "We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record any further videos for the foreseeable

The clue's in the question. 4 C4 'thriller' In Flight has less air miles than Greta Thunberg - but a clue before it aired proved it was rubbish Credit: Channel 4 / Peter Marley It's broadcast between the start of July and the end of August, a time when networks assume everyone is on holiday and don't generally waste revenue-generating gold like Mr Bates Versus The Post Office, Chernobyl or I'm a Celebrity.. . . . Get Me Out of Here! They fill it with outright garbage, of the Cooking With The Stars variety, or stuff they're not quite sure about like Channel 4's In Flight, a six-part 'thriller' about international drug smuggling which has got less air miles to its name than Greta bleedin' Thunberg. It starts in Belfast, continues in Belfast and at some point, many hours from now, will come to a bloody climax in Belfast. A happy arrangement in most circumstances, but In Flight's plot and drone footage captions asks us to believe a large number of scenes are taking place in 'Sofia', 'Istanbul', 'Dubai' and 'Bangkok', which all look suspiciously like . . . Belfast. A decent drama can always overcome the travel constraints of a miserly budget, of course, with the help of brilliant acting and credible script. In Flight's on the back foot, though, from the moment we discover Katherine Kelly's tortured airline stewardess, Jo Conran, has a d**kwit 19-year-old called Sonny who's landed up in a Bulgarian jail, after allegedly beating a local gangster's son to death. And the only way she can now stop him being killed is to smuggle heroin on behalf of a bloke called Cormac, who she met in a bar. To this unlikely end, she's definitely helped by the fact In Flight exists in a world where there are no policemen and the UK's only full-time customs officer is an ex-boyfriend called Dom, who still, inexplicably, has the hots for the sullen mare. Whatever chance In Flight had of carrying me with it, though, was effectively knackered when, instead of drawing things to a conclusion after three episodes (max), it was decided the show should keep going for six hours. And you can see the effects for yourselves as early as the second episode, when the plot starts repeating on a loop and the cast is re- duced to barking out old Spider-Man lines. Sullen mare To the extent that poor old Cormac, played really well by Stuart Martin, even has to tell Jo 'You've got 24 hours' at one point. Wednesday was also the night when an airport cleaning lady who'd found heroin stashed in a tampon machine (don't ask) battered Jo senseless with a red-hot frying pan filled with cooking oil. Yet she emerged, seconds later, from the beating without so much a single skin blister or any notion she'd been in a violent struggle at all. How this medical miracle transpired, I've no idea. But it was a key moment, because once the continuity's gone, I can no longer suspend my disbelief and start to notice everything else that's wrong with the drama. 4 In Flight also seems to conform to television's new rules of cultural apartheid, which state that every single white male is a violent, cowardly, irredeemably stupid thug Credit: Channel 4 / Peter Marley In the case of In Flight, which never has the decency to become so bad it's good, it's merely disposable, one of the big issues is the lack of a significant supporting cast to take the edge off Katherine Kelly, who you could never accuse of underplaying a role. Here, she gives it every pained contortion in the facial yoga manual and five big gulps, in the airport's arrivals hall, for good measure. From the word go, In Flight also seems to conform to television's new rules of cultural apartheid, which state that every single white male — but especially the working class ones — is a violent, cowardly, irredeemably stupid thug. Call it the Adolescence effect, if you like, I have a suspicion Sonny isn't as innocent as his mum hopes. In the meantime, someone's just stabbed him and Sonny's now flat out in a Sofia/Belfast hospital where a Bulgarian Northern Irish doctor is explaining: 'He's lucky. We've given him a sedative, he'll be out for some time.' And if he's really lucky, he'll be out for the next three episodes. Unexpected morons in the bagging area TIPPING Point, Ben Shephard: 'Which long-running satirical magazine known for its political cartoons was published between 1841 and 2002?' Emma: 'Bella.' Ben Shephard: 'Rough-tooth and Spinner are both species of which marine mammal?' Emma: 'Elephant.' And The Chase, Bradley Walsh: 'In Christianity, which Biblical figure is referred to as 'The Messiah'?' Michael: 'Pass.' Jesus wept. THE NO PRICE IS RIGHT PRINCESS ANDRE was nearly two hours into her new fly-on-the-wall ITV2 series, at a stables in Ibiza, when she made a frank admission. 'I actually love the smell of, like, horse manure.' 4 Princess Diaries is never more than seven minutes away from a Peter Andre cameo – and Princess took the nuclear option, very first episode, of video-calling mum Katie Credit: ITV Which is just as well, or she'd be overwhelmed by the hum coming from her show, The Princess Diaries, where the only thing numbing the stench is the general and welcome absence of mum Katie Price. On account of the fact, presumably, that ITV2 thinks its viewers are too thick to work out the reason there's always some professional creep on hand, to indulge Princess's every whim, is the fact she's got famous parents. Without them, obviously, the show would never have been made and she'd be just another overentitled teenager who cannot hold a single conversation without at least one 'actually' and half a dozen 'likes'. That's why The Princess Diaries is never more than seven minutes away from a Peter Andre cameo – and Princess took the nuclear option, very first episode, of video-calling mum Katie then expressing genuine astonishment at the sight that greeted her. 'She's actually on holiday in Dubai and she had her boobs out. Oh my God, she's so unpredictable.' Really? 'Cos if I had to gamble every single thing I own, I'd have predicted that's exactly what she'd be doing. INCIDENTALLY, full and very patronising coverage of the women's Rugby World Cup begins on BBC, August 22 – with the bit I'm really looking forward to, every studio discussion being about the USA's coach, Sione Fukofuka. Random TV irritations THE goofy, brainwashed smile BBC employees all adopt whenever they refer to the Notting Hill Stabfest as 'Carnival'. Rob Brydon's Destination X stylist and writer turning him into the Man from Dull Monte. The BBC imposing its tiresome drag queen obsession on Strictly. And SAS: Who Dares Wins contestant Lady Leshurr unloading the show's longest-ever sob story, which featured cancer, death, poverty and wrongful arrest, before it finally finished with her admitting: 'I don't even know who I am any more.' So at least she's on an even footing with viewers. Great sporting insights COURTNEY SWEETMAN-KIRK: 'It was always going to be a lose-lose unless they won.' Steve Parish: 'It's 99% done. So 100%.' And Dan Biggar: 'To come away with a 3-0 defeat would be pretty special for the Lions.' (Compiled by Graham Wray) TV Gold ITV's Ridley featuring that fine actor John Henshaw, who rarely gets the credit he deserves but is nearly always the best performer on screen. The savage SAS: Who Dares Wins milling bout between Conor Benn and Troy Deeney which left even the Special Forces instructors looking slightly daunted. BBC2's incredibly relaxing Tiger Dynasty documentary. Amazon Prime repeating Mr Benn, a childhood enchantment so beautifully narrated by Ray Brooks, who passed away last weekend. And BBC2's VJ Day 80: We Were There which, as always with World War Two documentaries, delivered an emotional punch to the stomach in the final credits. But we owe it to these men and women to watch it all the way through. Premier League soap opera gears up for new campaign
The back-to-school signs are up in supermarkets and the leaves are turning yellow and red as we enter the final days of summer. With evenings drawing in, it's time to put away the snorkels and swimming togs for another year, wave goodbye to the outside and settle in for some comfort television. That's where the Premier League has you covered. While the drama and nonsense of the summer transfer window is becoming a bigger and bigger sporting circus with each passing year, it's still just about playing second fiddle to the soap opera of the Premier League. And what a series there is in store. With storylines aplenty, season 34 of the show formerly known at The Barclays promises more betrayal, heartbreak, and dramatic stare-downs than the last four decades of Eastenders. We're got new faces on the scene, returning heart-throbs, old favourites looking to reclaim faded glory and a couple of nasty villains out for retribution. From an Irish perspective, Keith Andrews stepping onto the Square raises the biggest questions. On the surface, he's bounding into the managerial limelight with a swagger and a glint in his eye but he's also a man with some skeletons in his closet and some powerful enemies lurking in the background. Andrews has been handed an unexpected opportunity to take the reins of Brentford as his first managerial job. Having swapped the pundit chair for the hot seat, there's some murky figures from his past just waiting for him to slip up and let them twist the knife. Roy Keane, who famously said Andrews was up there with the 'biggest bullsh***ers' he'd ever met, will be box office when the Bees first come under the Sky Sports microscope, with Martin O'Neill ready to get his digs in too, albeit from the less glamourous platform of TalkSport YouTube clips. Andrews has a tricky task in replacing a genuinely transformative manager in Thomas Frank. With big performing players like Brian Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard and Mark Flekken all departing, he has a huge task on his hands, which is why the bookies have him down as the favourite for the sack race If Andrews is the man likely to feel the early heat, Liverpool boss Arne Slot is riding on a crest of a wave heading into the new campaign. Cantering to a surprise Premier League title win with Jurgen Klopp's creaking squad, Slot has spent hundreds of millions of pounds bringing in new big name players. With the chase for Alexander Isak still trundling along, Slot's Liverpool could eclipse Chelsea for the highest ever transfer window spend. Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and tragically Diego Jota all had to be replaced, but could it be a case of too much, too soon? Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitiké, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong are already through the door and with the possibility of Isak, Marc Guehi and Giovanni Leoni following, that's a lot of first-team players to integrate in a short time. Home and Away fans of a certain age will still speak of the generational trauma that was inflicted on them when Pippa's actress was recast overnight without any on-screen reference to the change. Sudden breakneck upheaval like Pippa's switch and Liverpool's summer transfer window can take time to settle and a questionable second-half performance in the Community Shield already has rival teams wondering if they could be vulnerable in the early stages. Manchester United, meanwhile can only look on at Liverpool's summer turnover in envy. As the Sky Sports News deadline day counter ominously ticks down, the Old Trafford club are still no closer to getting their high-earning deadwood off the books. Marcus Rashford still remains a United player, albeit one out on loan for the season at Barcelona, while the club have been unable to attract any meaningful interest in the rest of their bomb squad. With Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrrell Malacia still training separately and no closer to leaving than they were at the start of the summer, Jim Ratcliffe is looking more and more like a frustrated Peggy Mitchell trying to sling the drunks out at the end of the night screeching "get outta my club!" to little effect. United have at least been able to bring in some new faces, albeit they're now shopping among the second tier of available players following several disastrous seasons and a 15th place Premier League finish. Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are the headline signings and they're eager to add Brighton's Carlos Baleba to their ranks. Decent players all with plenty of potential, but United have a habit of draining players of their promise and Ruben Amorim still has much to prove. Meanwhile, having already spent £214million, after pleading poverty at Christmas time, you have to wonder just how much those tea ladies given the elbow by Ratcliffe were earning. Across the city in Manchester, Pep Guardiola is hoping he can write his own redemption story arc after the wheels came off for the Sky Blues in spectacular fashion last season. With old stars like Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker being written out, City have undergone the kind of TV seasonal reset that you can only really have when you set fire to the pub or crash a plane into the village in the Christmas special. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Guardiola has stuck around for another go. Between the winter transfer window and the current one, City have undergone a huge overhaul and while the signs were promising towards the end of last season, a poor start could see more questions being asked of Guardiola. He should have enough credit in the bank with the club's owners to weather out any early storms but his increasingly tetchy press conferences and head-scratching antics last term hinted towards a man who could jump before he's pushed if things don't go to plan. Jack Grealish knows just how changeable Guardiola can be when it comes to things not going his way as the most expensive player signed by the club has decided to cut his losses at the Etihad and high-tailed it to Everton. Grealish's move to the Toffees looks guaranteed to be entertaining, no matter how things go on the pitch and like all good soap opera pretty boys, Jack knows how to party. The midfielder's recent career trajectory saw him win the treble with City and then never quite find his way back from the celebrations. Now he's made the move to Everton and with his first move, has taken the number 18 jersey in honour or Paul Gascoigne and Wayne Rooney. In fairness, both Gascoigne and Rooney were exciting, creative players, but both knew how to enjoy themselves off the pitch. Hopefully Grealish takes more inspiration from the sporting side, rather than emerging in a couple of years like a bedraggled and bearded Ian Beale. Should he find himself in a moral quandary or too tempted towards the call of the party lifestyle, in fine soap opera tradition, he can have a sit down in a laundry and a heart-to-heart with a wise old head who's seen it all before. James Milner, the Dot Cotton of the Premier League is now gearing up for his 23rd season as a Premier League player and looking back wistfully on all that's gone before him. Speaking ahead of Brighton's season opening at home to Fulham, it's clear that Milner is starting to feel the weight of the years on his shoulders. "There are lads I played with at the start of my career whose sons I'm now playing with or against: Justin Kluivert, I played with his dad at Newcastle; I played with Bobby Clark at Liverpool and played with his dad at Newcastle; Tommy Watson's girlfriend is Ian Harte's daughter." So as the new season kicks off, with Milner slowly morphing into a sentient Shoot Magazine archive, Grealish trying to remember if he left his Gucci washbag in the Grafton, and Andrews eyeing Keane like a man checking for sharks in a pool, the Premier League remains the greatest soap opera we've ever seen.
