Trisha Yearwood calls Garth Brooks 'love of my life,' thanks him for being her cheerleader
LOS ANGELES- Trisha Yearwood praised Garth Brooks for being her No. 1 fan on a day when she was the honored guest.
Yearwood, 60, held her husband in the highest regards while accepting her star on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday.
The "She's In Love With A Boy" singer admitted the country icon was her "cheerleader" and said Brooks was just as excited about her big wins in life as she was.
"The first Garth that I met is here, and the one that has really been a cheerleader," Yearwood told the crowd. "And as many accolades and awards as he has won, I've never seen him get more excited than he does when I receive something."
Yearwood added, "For all the people that want this for me, nobody wants it more than you, and I just appreciate you for, you know… we're down a few stars from each other, but we're going to figure something out."
She joked, "We'll put some bread crumbs or something."

The "Georgia Rain" singer later admitted that Brooks was the "love of my life."
"He's my person. He has accomplished so much in his career, but he is happiest when other people win," she told Extra. "And I think he just believes in me so much, and he believes that I deserve more than I believe I deserve, so I know that he's genuinely the happiest person here today."
Carly Pearce exclusively told Fox News Digital that Yearwood was one of the most timeless artists, and the "soundtrack" to her childhood.
"You hear songs like 'Walkaway Joe,' and they're the soundtrack to my childhood and why I wanted to do this for a living," Pearce said. "She has been one of those true country artists that has continued to evolve over decades, all while remaining so classic and true and timeless.

Pearce couldn't pinpoint one instance of key advice Yearwood had bestowed, but more of an essence the country star embodied.
"She's one of the most down-to-earth people that I've ever met," Pearce said. "She says hello to everybody. She's everybody's friend, and she's everybody's sister, and I think that's a true testament to who she is."
Yearwood and Brooks have been married since 2005, and she is a "bonus mom" to his three children, Taylor, August and Allie, from his marriage to Sandy Mahl.
"She's one of the most down-to-earth people that I've ever met."
In 2021, Yearwood opened up about their marriage, saying they're both "very much alphas."

"We're both very independent people who run our own ships," she said. "Sometimes when two people are driving two big ships it can be difficult."
However, she said their marriage is "better now than ever."
"I was always the person in relationships when things got difficult I was really happy to just bail," she admitted. "I was good at that. So in this situation, that's not an option because this is the love of my life, so you sit down and talk it through, and that gets you better when you get to the other side."

Trump is seeing 'Les Misérables.' It's not clear he understands the irony.
In what may be one of the year's most ironic moments, President Donald Trump will spend Wednesday night attending the opening of the musical 'Les Misérables' at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. No, this isn't some presidential obligation that Trump is reluctantly fulfilling. Rather, as he told Fox News Digital last week: 'I love the songs, I love the play. I think it's great.' For once, Trump seems to be telling the truth. True, none of the numbers from "Les Mis" appeared on his official playlist for his 2024 campaign, unlike other Broadway musicals like 'Cats' or 'Phantom of the Opera.' (His love of Andrew Lloyd Webber is well-known and deeply telling in its own way.) But I'd forgotten until today that during the announcement of his third presidential run in 2022, he walked onstage immediately following the strains of 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' In fact, he's used the song multiple times at events over the years, almost always prompting similar bouts of confusion from people who understand 'Les Misérables.' Which brings us to the other half of his statement to Fox News Digital: that he thinks the show is "great." It's entirely unclear to me whether there's anything about the show's characters, plot, themes, or general vibe that would speak to Trump on any deeper level. For starters, 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' is a wild choice of anthem for someone like Trump who has only known wealth and power. The song calls for a revolutionary uprising against the reestablished monarchy in favor of republican ideals and uplifting the poor and downtrodden. The students who belt the number then build a barricade on the streets before the army crushes their insurrection and dreams of a brighter future for France along with it. Given his eagerness this week to deploy Marines onto the streets of Los Angeles, and attacks on protests on college campuses, I have a hard time picturing Trump either sympathizing with the students' cause or mourning their deaths. Further, am I supposed to believe that the 'law and order president' identifies at all with former convict Jean Valjean's story of the cruelty of the law toward the poor and needy? Or that he feels moved by Inspector Javert hurling himself into the Seine when he realizes that mercy can be more just than the law as written? I wouldn't put it past him to describe Gavroche, the young street urchin shot down mid-song as he aids the rebels, as "no angel." Granted, as The Washington Post noted, there are Trump supporters out there who see the MAGA movement as following in the footsteps of the Friends of the ABC in fighting tyranny. But I'm less convinced that Trump feels similarly. My money is on him being more captivated by the way the sweeping, booming, overwhelming score sounds than any moral that the show might be trying to bestow on the audience. C'est la vie. Miley Cyrus reveals leg 'began to disintegrate' from infection she contracted on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Miley Cyrus recently detailed how a glamorous music video shoot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame led her to the hospital. Cyrus, 32, recalled the moment she filmed her "Something Beautiful" visual album and then landed in the ICU. "I filmed this video in October [2024] by November at Thanksgiving, I was put in the ICU for a moment — just for a moment," Cyrus said Thursday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The "Wrecking Ball" singer shared she had been rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her music video. "I caught something," she remarked. "My leg began to disintegrate... around the kneecap area. And then the doctor goes, 'Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?'' Cyrus pointed out the fact that her doctor had probably seen the worst in a hospital. However, she said the surgeon was completely grossed out by her infection. "I had to tell him," she said. "To have a surgeon look at you and say, 'Yuck…' They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans and they're looking at me, telling me I'm disgusting. And they do brain operations!" She continued to explain how she shot her music video on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the middle of the night to avoid paying costly rental fees. "I had a big dream and a small budget. Well, I had a pretty good budget, but I spent it all on my clothes," Cyrus laughed. "Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?" she quipped. "I thought it was my last day." The former Disney star's comments come after she revealed another health scare she experienced earlier this year. While recording the "Miley's New Year's Eve Party," which she co-hosted with Dolly Parton, Cyrus said she suffered an ovarian cyst rupture. "I had a medical emergency, I had an ovarian cyst rupture, which we didn't know exactly what was going on… but it was pretty traumatic… extremely excruciating and I did the show anyways… it was really hard on me," Cyrus said in an interview with Zane Lowe.
