How to watch and odds for Sunday's NFL preseason games: Jaguars at Saints, Bills at Bears
Below is the national and regional broadcast info, plus training camp roundups and best 'fusion' players from each matchup.
Out-of-market fans can stream regional preseason games with an NFL+ subscription.
Travis Hunter has been getting reps on both sides of the ball this summer, but he missed Friday's practice with what Coen tagged an 'upper-body injury.' Don't expect to see much of the No. 2 overall pick in this spot. Hunter caught both of his targets for 9 yards during last weekend's preseason opener, and he clocked another eight snaps as a defensive back. Trevor Lawrence completed 6 of 7 passes for 43 yards.
The Saints led with second-round rookie Tyler Shough last time out against the Chargers. He went 15-for-22 in Inglewood, good for 165 yards and this loping touchdown to second-year wideout Mason Tipton:
Shough it. Tipton down there somewhere.

Surprised to see you here: Did you realize that Brandin Cooks dug up the black and gold again? He started his career with three solid New Orleans seasons between 2014-16, and what do we know … the 11-year pro caught a pass for the Saints last Saturday.
Best player to wear both jerseys (by Approximate Value): Mark Brunell (104 AV captaining the Jaguars, 0 in two years on the Saints' bench)
Please advise … this matchup is capable of spectacular, artful dumbness:

Hunter: 'It's difficult to set a baseline rookie expectation for Hunter — we've really never seen anything like him. The Jaguars have designed a camp plan that will work him on both sides of the football, including at corner and receiver in some of the same practices. It might take Hunter more time to make an impact defensively, but expect him to be a playmaker pretty quickly on offense when he's given a chance. Athletically, he's been ready for at least two years.'

Kelvin Banks Jr. : 'Not only did I have other tackle prospects higher than Banks on my final board, but also I was in the camp that saw him more as a guard. Banks only played left tackle in college, and New Orleans got great rookie production from Taliese Fuaga at that spot last year. Although Banks has repped everywhere but center so far in New Orleans, the hope is surely for him to ultimately take over for Trevor Penning opposite Fuaga on one side or the other. I'm just going to be a bit nervous here until I see it all come together.'
The freshly installed Ben Johnson said that he'll play his starters this weekend, so audiences just may get a few Caleb Williams dropbacks. Tyson Bagent (13-of-19, 103 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) and Case Keenum (8-of-10, 80 yards, 2 TDs) were under center last weekend, when Chicago and Miami tied at 24 apiece. Buffalo is this preseason's 'Hard Knocks' host, which has at least made for KJ Hamler electric scooter misadventures. The Bills hosted the Giants last Sunday and lost 34-25. Dawson Knox caught a score from Mitchell Trubisky, and Mike White threw two second-half TDs. Let's get season four of 'White Lotus' set in Orchard Park.
Surprised to see you here: Frank Gore Jr. played for the Bills last weekend. Time keeps on slipping, slipping.
Best player to wear both jerseys (by Approximate Value): Ruben Brown (82 AV with the Bills, 19 with the Bears)
'As the Bills have several tough decisions to make, a difficult situation is developing with the depth of their offensive line. The Bills projected that second-year center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger could be back by the third preseason game, which would put him on pace to start the year on the active roster. Alec Anderson returned to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday, so he'll also begin the year on the 53-man roster. Tylan Grable has been out since last week with a concussion, though with over three weeks before the season, it's likely he'll be back, too. All three are considered locks for the roster. That's where the decision comes in between offensive tackle Ryan Van Demark and rookie Chase Lundt. The Bills are most likely to keep only nine offensive linemen this year due to needs elsewhere on the team, setting up for a big short-term versus long-term debate for the final spot.' — Joe Buscaglia

'The passing game got a 'stock down' from me earlier this week. It hasn't been consistent in camp. But the group had a strong session Thursday in a non-padded practice. Wide receiver Rome Odunze is coming on strong this week with some big-time catches. The starting offense got a field goal in the two-minute drill. Odunze can make a quarterback look good with his ability to catch 50-50 balls. Williams has to rely on Odunze, along with DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland and Olamide Zaccheaus, who's had an impressive camp. The test begins Friday at the joint practice and will continue Sunday night in the game, but Williams would certainly love to build some confidence against a team like the Bills by getting in a rhythm and making some big plays. They had some success against Miami last week, but not in the red zone. They need to improve in that area.' — Kevin Fishbain

Sevilla & Elche reach transfer agreement
La Liga newcomers Elche have reached an agreement over the signing of a member of the attacking ranks at Sevilla. That's according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Rafa Mir as the player set to be on the move. Frontman Mir for his par spent last season plying his trade on loan away from Sevilla, with Valencia. The 28-year-old went on to endure something of an underwhelming stint at Mestalla, notching just two goals in 22 appearances across all competitions. As alluded to above, though, such numbers, evidently, did not prove enough to discourage those behind the scenes at Elche. This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned El Chiringuito TV that the framework of a deal for Mir has been put in place between the respective boards at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero, and Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. 'Preliminary agreement between Sevilla and Elche for Rafa Mir. He could debut tomorrow against Betis.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Chelsea draw blank in Crystal Palace stalemate
Chelsea suffered a Club World Cup hangover as they were lucky to escape with a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace to open their Premier League campaign on Sunday. Palace were denied an early opener when Eberechi Eze's free-kick was ruled out by a VAR review for Marc Guehi obstructing the Chelsea wall. New Chelsea signing Estevao came closest to snatching a winner for the home side, but the newly-crowned world champions were blunt in attack against a well-organised Palace defence. The Eagles key duo of Guehi and Eze started despite mounting speculation the England internationals are set to join Liverpool and Tottenham, respectively. "As long as they are 100 percent committed, they will play as they are so good," said Palace boss Oliver Glasner. "They didn't just show they are great footballers, but they are great persons and that's what I expected." Eze thought he had opened the scoring with a blistering free-kick that had too much power for Robert Sanchez. The goal was disallowed for Guehi's role in creating a gap by man-handling Moises Caicedo into the Chelsea wall. Chelsea's demolition of European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final last month had raised the Blues' hopes they can challenge for a first Premier League title since 2017. But Enzo Maresca bemoaned his side's lack of preparation time since beating PSG in New York just 35 days ago. "They played about eight (pre-season) games, we played just two so we tried our best," said the Italian. "We expected a tough game. Apart from the first half free-kick, we didn't concede any chances." Estevao scored against Chelsea at the Club World Cup in his final game for Palmeiras. The Brazilian has been hyped as one of the world's brightest young talents but lacked the composure to finish when he sliced high and wide from the middle of the box. Nottingham Forest made light of manager Nuno Espirito Santo's pre-season fears over a lack of signings with a dominant 3-1 win over a much-changed Brentford. Chris Wood struck twice either side of Dan Ndyoe's debut goal for Forest on a nightmare afternoon for new Brentford boss Keith Andrews. "It was a very good first half. The combinations were really good, beautiful goals," said Nuno. "This is why we are insisting on a good balanced squad that gives us options and solutions." The Bees have lost their manager, captain and top scorer in the off-season. Thomas Frank left to take charge of Tottenham, Bryan Mbeumo got his dream move to Manchester United and Arsenal secured Christian Norgaard. Yoane Wissa was also missing from the Brentford squad ahead of an expected move to Newcastle. Igor Thiago's first goal for the club from the penalty spot late on was the only consolation for the visitors. "I do have genuine belief but we have to take responsibility for a first half that wasn't good enough," said Andrews. kca/pb/nf

NFL preseason live updates: Caleb Williams debuts under head coach Ben Johnson, Tyler Shough starts for Saints
[NFL preseason schedule | NFL team feeds | NFL preseason live blog] The second week of NFL preseason action is in full swing, and there are plenty of storylines to follow. Caleb Williams is starting for the Bears on national television Sunday night vs. the Bills, our first glimpse of the 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick under new head coach Ben Johnson. That game headlines Frank Schwab's top QB situations to watch this week. Later, Tyler Shough gets the start for the Saints as he competes with Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener for QB1 in New Orleans. He threw for 165 yards on 15-of-22 passing in the Saints' preseason opener. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] On Saturday, Giants rookie Jaxson Dart put up another impressive preseason performance coming off his gem last week against the Bills. On Saturday against the Jets, he completed 14 of 16 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown to go along with a TD run. Could starting QB Russell Wilson be hearing footsteps? Rookie Dillon Gabriel saw his first action of preseason Saturday, and it was an up-and-down day for the third-round pick. He finished 13-of-18 for 143 yards passing but also turned it over twice. He thew a pick 6 and also lost a fumble on a botched handoff exchange. He was otherwise solid and in control in the passing game. Fellow rookie QB Shedeur Sanders sat out due to an oblique injury. Much will be made in the coming days, especially on the talking heads shows, about his in-game comments of the QB competition he's in with Sanders. Gabriel later clarified he was referring to the media, not Sanders. Elsewhere in the QB world, the Colts battle for the starting job continues to heat up, with Daniel Jones ending up 7 of 11 passes for 101 yards while Anthony Richardson competed 6 of 11 passes for 73 yards. Those two appear to be neck-and-neck for the starting job, and head coach Shane Steichen told reporters he plans to decide the starter "very soon."
