With that in mind, the Rossoneri need a replacement, and the latest name on the list as per Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio is Cambiaso.

The 25-year-old Italy international will certainly not be cheap, as he was the subject of a reported €50m proposal from Manchester City in January.
Their interest has waned a little since then, largely due to his form being affected by a recurring injury problem.
Milan confirm Allegri's return to the club.
Allegri worked with the Italian at Juventus and is eager to reunite with him at San Siro, though it would be a tricky deal to get completed.
Cambiaso is a product of the Genoa youth academy who joined Juventus in 2022 for €13.3m, flourishing on loan at Bologna and then going from strength to strength in Turin.

Report Jashari ready to demand Milan transfer in Brugge crisis meeting
Ardon Jashari will reportedly demand Club Brugge release him to Milan this weekend, refusing to accept higher offers from Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen or Neom. The player has made it very clear he wants to join the Rossoneri, a team he has supported since visiting San Siro as a child to watch them in action. He was left out of the squad for today's opening game of the season, but was placed into their European list. (Photo by) According to Sky Sport Italia, Jashari has decided to take matters into his own hands and will confront Club Brugge chiefs in a crisis meeting over the weekend. He intends to demand a sale to Milan, who believe their offer worth €33.5m plus add-ons was entirely sufficient, especially as his agents maintain Brugge promised to sell if someone came in with a bid of €32.5m. Crucially, the Switzerland international will also warn that he has no intention of accepting any other club, even if Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen and Saudi side Neom are ready to offer more money.

Nottingham Forest set to bid for AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah
Nottingham Forest are making 'serious' moves to sign AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah. According to Gazzetta journalist Luca Bianchin, interest from the Tricky Trees is 'more concrete than ever' and the club has made contact to understand the parameters required to complete a deal. Forest are preparing an offer for Musah as they look to beat Premier League rivals to the punch. They've been tracking the Milan midfielder for several weeks, but now it looks like they're ready to make a move that could bring the United States international to the Premier League. Musah joined Milan from Valencia two years ago, but his time at San Siro Stadium may be coming to an end, and Forest are offering him a way out. He's not in the plans of Milan's new coach, Massimiliano Allegri, and the club is looking to raise funds through player sales. Musah is seen as one of the likeliest names to be sold. Napoli had already tried their luck with a €25 million (£21.8m) bid, but Milan turned it down. They're holding out for a package closer to €30m (£26m). Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United are among Premier League clubs to have shown interest in Musah, but neither are willing to meet Milan's demands. Forest narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot last season, but they could be playing in the Europa League next term, so they want to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo's overachieving squad. Milan have made it clear that they want at least £26m, but Forest are expected to test their resolve with a £21m bid. They're confident that the offer will be enough to land the 22-year-old midfielder. Wolves are still lurking in the background and could match Forest's bid if it's accepted by Milan. Musah would be a decent addition for Wolves. At 22, the former Arsenal academy star has already racked up over 180 appearances across spells in La Liga and Serie A. He's also an established United States international with 47 caps to his name. His dribbling ability, energy, and ball-carrying would be an invaluable asset for Forest. Meanwhile, Forest are also in talks to sign Adama Traore from Fulham and have been linked with an audacious move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.
