Motoring influencer and brother jailed for false police report in Muar
Tengku Nizaruddin, 38, was charged under Section 109 of the Penal Code for abetting his brother in providing false information to police, claiming he had gone missing on July 14. His brother, Tengku Abdul Aziz, 30, was separately charged under Section 182 for filing the false report at Lenga police station.
Deputy public prosecutors Nur Ameerah Allaudeen and Yasmin Mohd Piah argued for both imprisonment and a fine, stressing the offence wasted police and fire department resources. 'This case has drawn public attention, and we hope it serves as a deterrent,' they said.
Defence lawyer Nor Hafizah Abdullah, representing both brothers, pleaded for leniency, stating they were remorseful, had apologised, and were first-time offenders. 'They are breadwinners with families and cooperated fully with authorities,' she said.
The false report led to a search operation after Tengku Nizaruddin's car was found submerged in Sungai Tui, Bukit Kepong. Investigations later revealed he had staged the incident, left for Thailand via Padang Besar, and booked a flight to Hat Yai. CCTV footage also placed him at Seremban Bus Terminal. - Bernama

"The suspect, a classmate of the victim, was dissatisfied over how the complainant communicated and interacted with classmates," he said when contacted today. Four male students were detained after the victim, who is also a Form One student at a secondary school in Kajang, lodged a police report after being beaten by a classmate at 11am on July 30. The case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code as well as Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955.

Four teens freed on bail in Kajang assault case
KUALA LUMPUR: Four 13-year-old students detained over the alleged assault of a classmate at a shopping mall in Kajang have been released on police bail today. Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the remand for the suspects, which was initially extended until tomorrow, was concluded earlier following the completion of documentation and investigative procedures. 'To date, police have recorded statements from nine individuals, including the four students,' he said in a statement. Preliminary investigations suggest the incident was triggered by dissatisfaction among the suspects with the victim's manner of communication and interaction.
