New Orleans police investigate lawn equipment heist at City Park
According to police, around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, April 18, two burglars pried open the backdoor of the warehouse and stole two Echo brand trimmers and leaf blowers. Police also released some security camera footage of what happened.
'Werewolf' burglary suspect recently booked on similar charge, released without bond
In the footage, the suspects are seen breaking into the building and removing the equipment. Both are wearing long pants, hoodies and gloves. Police say they could not find any security camera footage in the area that shows what the thieves used as a getaway car.
Also, police say the burglary triggered the building's alarm, but the crime wasn't discovered for another four hours when workers showed up to begin their shift.

Human remains found after Kapolei brush fire
Honolulu police said human remains were discovered early today after firefighters extinguished a brush fire in Kapolei. According to police, officers responded with the Honolulu Fire Department to a blaze just after 1 :30 a.m. in the area of 4451 Kapolei Parkway. Mother of 15-year-old Bronx rape victim pleads for justice
CROTONA PARK, the Bronx (PIX11) — The mother of a 15-year-old Bronx girl who was raped over the weekend is pleading for the community to help police find the attacker. 'I just want justice for my daughter, please. I can't sleep at night, and she's just 15,' the teen's mom tearfully said Tuesday. More Local News Police said the teen was raped in an apartment near East 170th Street and Prospect Avenue in Crotona Park at around 8 p.m. on Sunday. Parents who live in the building said there was drinking at a party the night of the incident. Video obtained by PIX11 News shows the suspect, believed to be 17 to 19 years old, walking out of a building on East 170th Street with the young girl. Her face is blurred, but she appears unsteady as he leads her toward a red car. 'I don't want no other kids gotta go through what my daughter went through,' the mom said. The victim's older sister and local clergy are also asking the community to help cops apprehend the suspect, saying they won't feel safe until he is in custody. Flyers offering a $3,500 reward were posted in the neighborhood to help identify the suspect. 'I just want justice for my sister,' she said. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing. Police call for information after dead rabbits found on a Carlisle street
A pile of dead hares have been found on a Carlisle street this morning and Cumbria Constabulary has asked anyone with information to come forward. Cumbria Police received intel from the public on August 19 of a pile of dead rabbits dumped on the corner of Empire Road. A spokesperson for police said: "Report of five dead hares/rabbits dumped outside of a residential address. "If anyone witnessed the animals being dumped or has any other information which would assist, please contact police." It was the 26th incident dealt with by police on August 19. The spokesperson said: "You can report online at quoting the incident number (26). You can also phone on 101. "Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
