New Orleans police searching for suspect in St. Claude art heist

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify and locate a suspect in an art theft investigation. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice. According to police, the crime happened around 2:40 in the afternoon on May 22 at a business in the 2300 block of Saint Claude Avenue. Police also released a security camera image of the suspect. Workers there told WGNO News that the suspect peeled two paintings from their frames in the library that's in the building. NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to find out who burglarized a maintenance shop at City Park and stole some lawn equipment. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice. According to police, around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, April 18, two burglars pried open the backdoor of the warehouse and stole two Echo brand trimmers and leaf blowers. Police also released some security camera footage of what happened. 'Werewolf' burglary suspect recently booked on similar charge, released without bond In the footage, the suspects are seen breaking into the building and removing the equipment. Both are wearing long pants, hoodies and gloves. Police say they could not find any security camera footage in the area that shows what the thieves used as a getaway car. Also, police say the burglary triggered the building's alarm, but the crime wasn't discovered for another four hours when workers showed up to begin their shift. New Orleans police connect burglaries at homes ‘For Sale'

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department has connected two burglaries that occurred at homes that were for sale. The cases are the latest ones to roll on the Wheel of Justice. According to police, the most recent case happened around 7:30 p.m. on March 2 in the 4600 block of Willow Street. They say a stainless-steel kitchen stove was stolen. NOPD searching for burglary suspects who stole refrigerator The first case happened around 3:00 a.m. on Feb. 12 in the 600 block of David Street. In this case, a refrigerator was stolen. Police also released security camera footage that shows much of what happened in each burglary. In both cases, a white pickup is seen backing up to the front porches of the homes so the stolen appliances could be loaded into the bed. Also, both homes had for sale signs in the yard.
