Facing DC fast charging issue on your MG Windsor EV? A fix is on its way
MG Windsor EV has been topping the sales charts for electric vehicle for several months now. It has helped JSW MG Motor India gain significant market share in the EV sector. However, there are have been several instances where customers have faced issues with DC fast charging. This is a huge issue considering the fact that a customer can be left stranded somewhere.
Now, the company has issued an update for the customers. It is related to the Battery Management System and the high-voltage battery. Customers would need to visit their nearest authorised service centre to get this update installed which could take between 30 minutes to 1 hour. In theory, this update should fix the DC fast charging issues that the Windsor EV is facing. However, we will have to wait for some time to confirm whether this fix has worked or not. MG Windsor EV
The Windsor EV has a rather unusual face that may not instantly impress an onlooker. But the rounded contours here are tastefully glazed with LED elements and a tad of chrome at the very bottom.
Even after the price hike, the Windsor EV continues to offer a tremendous amount of value for money. However, people have experienced severe range drop in scorching summers. Apart from this, there have been instances, where the plastic piece where the seat adjustment buttons are placed broke. There is a lack of clarity with the 360-degree parking camera and the infotainment system itself can be a bit slow at sometimes. However, the guidelines on offer are very precise.
When the Pro variant of the Windsor EV was launched, the existing customers wanted to know whether they would get the upgraded battery pack or not. To this, the company replied that the new, larger battery pack cannot be fitted to the current Windsor because the mounting points are different. However, an option like this would have been nice at an additional cost.

The Windsor EV is powered by a front wheel drive motor that puts out 134 bhp of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque, which is delivered immediately. The performance is immediate, and there are driving modes on offer as well along with regen modes. And there is a proper difference between all the driving and regen modes.
Because the Windsor EV is based on an electric platform, it is spacious. There is ample amount of room for everybody and it can seat five persons at once quite easily. However, the rear suspension is on the stiffer side so which you will need to slow down on speed breakers and bumps, or it will send a jolt. However, the ride quality does improve when there is a load in the boot or there are passengers in the rear seat. This firmness is what provides Windsor EV a lot of stability and confidence out on the highways.

Apple's tariff-fueled iPhone sales surge raises doubts about sustainability
Apple's best revenue growth in three years failed to impress, with shares down about 1% in volatile trading on Friday, as investors questioned whether a tariff-driven surge in iPhone sales would last. But they also warned the 'pull-in' boost was expected to be temporary, raising doubts about demand for the rest of the year. 'Pull-forward, remember, is not a U.S. issue. It's also a China issue. CEO Tim Cook said on Thursday the company was making good progress on Siri and that Apple is 'significantly growing' its investments in AI. India, Canada to review trade ties before resuming economic talks in 2026
Toronto: India and Canada will take stock of the trading relationship this year before resuming work on a potential economic partnership next year, experts engaged in the bilateral corridor believe. (AP) As it is, much of the bandwidth in the trade space is being consumed in New Delhi and Ottawa by the mercurial tariff threats emanating from the Administration of US President Donald Trump. Former Indian High Commissioner to Ottawa, Ajay Bisaria, felt that there is 'no big rush to resume where they left off' with regard to a possible trade deal but the two countries will 'instead get into a stocktaking situation.' 'While formal trade negotiations may need to wait till early next year, we could see discussions in specific sectors and high-level dialogue and exchanges at the level of ministers and senior officials this fall,' Vina Nadjibulla, vice-president for research and strategy at the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada said. There were several rounds of negotiation towards an Early Progress Trade Agreement between India and Canada before those talks were 'paused' by Canada in August 2023, about a month before then Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated in the House of Commons on September 18 that year that there were 'credible allegations' of a potential link between Indian agents and the killing of pro-Khalistan figure Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, British Columbia, three months earlier. India described those accusations as 'absurd' as ties cratered. But the intrusion of Trump has altered the dynamic. As Nadjibulla said, 'In terms of a timeframe, what might be feasible this year is a political commitment to resume trade negotiations and a launch of a stock taking process given that much has changed in the global trade landscape and in the economic calculus of both countries in the last two years. We are not talking about picking up discussions from two years ago, the framework for a trade deal has now changed and that needs to be reflected in any resumed negotiations.' Bisaria felt the two sides will make' cautious moves' before resumption of dialogue on a trade agreement, though, in the interim, there will be focus on cooperation in specific sectors like artificial intelligence, critical minerals, LNG and auto parts. These sectors featured in roundtable discussions held in Ottawa and Toronto last month, organized by the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber or ICBC and featuring officials from both Governments. 'Our suggestion is let us concentrate on niche sectors, which are important for both governments,' ICBC's told the Hindustan Times in July after the roundtable in Toronto. 'In terms of bilateral relations, full re-engagement, including resumption of trade negotiations, will need to be approached gradually and in-line with political signals from both Prime Ministers and key ministers,' Nadjibulla noted. There has been some movement on the diplomatic front as both countries prepare to appoint High Commissioners in each other's capitals later this month. On Wednesday, Global Affairs Canada announced that Jeff David will be country's new Consul General in Mumbai. However, the arrival of High Commissioners will be necessary for the process to take shape. As Nadjibulla said, 'Reappointment of high commissioners and ensuing that Canadian consulates in India are fully staffed would also help and is a necessary step before discussions on a trade agreement can be resumed.'

As September draws near, Apple fans are gearing up for the company's biggest annual reveal. Among the phones to be launched, iPhone 17 Pro is, arguably, the most anticipated flagship. Fresh leaks are offering a clearer glimpse of what is to come. On July 30, a tipster from Bluesky revealed rendered images of the iPhone 17 with a new camera island. The tipster also disclosed that the Pro series will feature a new colour, bright orange, in addition to the standard white, black, and dark blue options. While these renders made the rounds online, test units of the iPhone 17 Pro were reportedly spotted in San Francisco, suggesting that Apple may be trialling an additional camera feature. A third camera control appeared to be positioned near the top edge of the device. If this new feature is a capacitive touch scroll surface, one might hold the iPhone in landscape orientation with the primary Camera Control accessible to the right index finger, and this new feature accessible to the left index finger.
