Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the final phase of the Young Techpreneurs initiative began on July 13.
The last phase is being held at Zayed Complex in Fujairah and will run until July 17. It follows the same format as earlier phases.
The initiative aims to help youth apply digital skills in real-world projects. It marks the culmination of an interactive journey that began in April. Emirati students from across Fujairah have taken part in a series of specialized training workshops.
These sessions were organized by the Government of Fujairah, represented by the Office of the Crown Prince, in collaboration with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU). The program focuses on building youth capabilities in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming, and entrepreneurship.
Participants will now apply their skills across five sectors: Healthcare
Tourism
Education
Community development
Economy
Students will select their preferred track, form teams, and implement their ideas under expert mentorship.
Each day includes reviewing earlier applications, accessing recorded workshops on HBMSU's Smart Campus platform, and training in presentation skills.
H.E. Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah, said the third phase marks a shift from learning to real-world application. He emphasized the Crown Prince's vision of using technology to solve societal challenges and empower youth.
He noted that the initiative reflects Fujairah's commitment to smart education, innovation, and sustainable development.
H.E. Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, said the university is proud of its partnership with Fujairah and its role in preparing future digital leaders. He added that the initiative nurtures national talent capable of shaping the UAE's knowledge economy.
The program will conclude on July 17 with a graduation ceremony. An exhibition will showcase the participants' tech projects, offering guests insight into their development process and creative ideas.
The Fujairah Young Techpreneurs initiative highlights the emirate's ongoing investment in youth and commitment to driving digital transformation.

The Jordan Digital Health Centre aims to connect healthcare centres and create an integrated electronic medical records management system through a unified digital platform, to enhance Jordan's healthcare sector in delivering remote care services aligned with international standards. Executed through the support of UAE-based company 'Presight,' a leader in advanced technology and AI-driven digital solutions, in collaboration with Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, this centre marks a strategic milestone in enhancing Jordan's digital health infrastructure. During the ceremony, Prince Al Hussein extended his appreciation to the UAE's leadership, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. He emphasised that this initiative underscores the enduring strategic ties between the two nations and their commitment to advancing sustainable development and economic integration across key sectors. 1 Aug 2025 21:18 DUBAI (ALETIHAD) The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) organised 50 open career days focusing on recruiting UAE citizens to the private sector during the first half of 160 private companies participated in the events, which saw a widespread turnout from Emirati citizens seeking employment. Job interviews were conducted on-site with qualified Emirati candidates, led by officials from the participating showcased their available job opportunities on the Nafis platform during the open career days, which were held in collaboration with local Human Resources Departments and Neighbourhood Councils across various emirates of the UAE, in addition to the Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University, University of Dubai, and Fatima College of Health Abdulla Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of National Talents at MoHRE, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to continue organising open career days, which enjoy a reputation for being highly credible and reliable among UAE citizens, employers, and companies. "This confidence stems from the fact that these events are held under direct supervision from MoHRE, which examines the nature of the job opportunities offered and the salaries, in addition to following up on employment processes after interviews to ensure participating companies are serious with their intent to hire Emiratis. We commend our partners for their efforts and support for the open career days, as well as their dedication to ensuring the events' success.''Al Ali noted that open career days offer a range of advantages, most notably providing job opportunities for UAE citizens and enabling them to have their employment interviews onsite. Additionally, they facilitate companies' compliance with Emiratisation targets by securing interviews with Emirati citizens seeking employment who possess the right skills and specialisations for the vacancies and job opportunities available. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation continues to identify suitable available jobs, in coordination with partners in the private sector, to secure employment interviews based on real opportunities, track interview results, review acceptance and employment rates, and address obstacles to ensure the best outcomes. The growing turnout from UAE citizens at the open career days also reflects their seriousness and dedication to enhancing their active participation in the sustainable development process and the national economy.

1 Aug 2025 15:30 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Following the resolution issued on July 28, 2024 by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, to restructure the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Board of Directors, the Chamber has entered a new phase of strategic delivery and private sector the months since, the Chamber has marked a year of tangible momentum. Membership grew by 4.9%, exceeding 158,000 companies, illustrating the growing strength and confidence in Abu Dhabi's business landscape and the Chamber's role as a key enabler for enterprises. During this period, the sectors posting the sharpest increases were agriculture, forestry, and fishing (21% growth), arts and entertainment (13%), and information and communication technologies and technical activities (10%). Additional growth was seen across water and waste management (9%), real estate and administrative services (8%), education (7%), transport and storage (6%), and mining and quarrying (5%). Construction, manufacturing, and financial services also recorded steady expansion of around 3%. Business engagement deepened further as over 1,000 private sector's representatives took part in 69 business events, including the flagship Abu Dhabi Business Week, and 10 legal and commercial workshops. To advance policy and regulatory reforms, 15 advocacy working groups collaborated with business leaders, while the Chamber answered sectors needs with 364 economic reports supporting data-driven planning and engagement also accelerated: the Chamber received 70 diplomatic trade delegations and for the first time, opened an international office in Poland to extend Abu Dhabi's international outbound delegations enhanced market connectivity, and 25 global cooperation agreements were signed. During this period, the Chamber also celebrated business excellence, awarding the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award to 7 companies for their performance and 18,900 enquiries were answered as the Chamber continued its strong commitment to service, reflected in a 90.23% satisfaction rating on the TAMM platform. Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: 'Our progress over the past period demonstrates the resilience and ambition of Abu Dhabi's private sector. Through meaningful partnerships and a commitment to innovation and excellence, we continue to open new pathways for businesses to thrive locally and globally.'
