2026 Chrysler Pacifica Review, Pricing, and Specs
Specs See all specs EPA MPG 20–30 Combined Seating 7 Seats Powertrain Gas Drivetrain Front-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive Limited Warranty 3 Years/36,000 Miles Overview The Pacifica has long been the lifeblood of Chrysler, which invented the minivan segment back in the 1980s. It seats up to eight people with enough space between rows to keep quarreling children separated. It offers almost every imaginable goodie, from a built-in vacuum to lumbar pillows, all-wheel drive to a plug-in-hybrid powertrain. And the gas-only model readily converts into a cargo van, with Chrysler's patented Stow 'n Go second- and third-row seats capable of folding flat into the floor. The V-6 powertrains—available with and without electric-motor assistance—are reasonably powerful, though the efficient plug-in setup proved problematic during our long-term test, and the gas engine is pretty thirsty. Even so, the Pacifica has earned a dedicated following, outselling rivals like the Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Kia Carnival year after year. What's New for 2026? Joining the Pacifica lineup for 2026 is a 100th Anniversary Edition. Slotted just above the base trim level, this model celebrates Chrysler's 1925 founding with a commemorative decal on the back of the van and some understated styling changes to the fascia and wheels. Front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system are also provided. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica is expected to start around $44,460 and go up to $61,800 depending on the trim and options. Select $44,460 100th Anniversary Edition $46,385 Limited $50,585 Hybrid Select $53,065 Hybrid 100th Anniversary Edition $54,560 Hybrid Premium S $56,320 Pinnacle $56,340 (est) Hybrid Pinnacle $61,800 (est) 0 $10k $20k $30k $40k $50k $60k $70k $80k $90k $100k The Select model offers the best mix of features and value. Standard items include a heated steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, second-row sunshades, and 17-inch wheels. We're fine sticking with front-wheel drive, but we understand some consumers may want the additional peace of mind this van's optional all-wheel-drive system offers for a $2.995 upcharge. We'd suggest staying with the standard 3.6-liter V-6, though, as we had a few reliability hiccups with our long-term Pacifica Hybrid during its 40,000-mile stay. Want to compare the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica to other vehicles you're interested in? Our new compare tool provides a comprehensive, side-by-side look at up to five cars of your choice. Compare Cars Engine, Transmission, and Performance In gas-only guise, the Pacifica packs a 287-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission under its hood. The Pacifica Hybrid makes less total horsepower (only 260 ponies) from its 3.6-liter V-6 and two electric motors, which are backed by a 16.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. You can't get all-wheel drive on the Pacifica Hybrid, though; it's exclusively a front-driver. 0–60-MPH Times It's not the quickest minivan we've tested, but the front-wheel-drive Pacifica is far from sluggish. It feels plenty peppy around town and reaches 60 mph in 7.3 seconds, which puts it about mid-pack in terms of performance. In our testing, the Pacifica Hybrid needed an additional 0.5 second to hit 60 mph relative to its more powerful kin. View Photos Chrysler Towing and Payload Capacity The maximum towing capacity for the Chrysler Pacifica is 3600 pounds. Chrysler doesn't recommend towing with the Pacifica Hybrid. Range, Charging, and Battery Life According to the EPA, the 2025 Pacifica Hybrid can travel up to 32 miles on electric power. Around town, we bettered that range estimate by one mile. On the highway, the Pacifica Hybrid managed 23 miles of electric-only driving before the gasoline engine kicked on. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG In addition to being space efficient, a minivan should be fuel efficient, which the Pacifica Hybrid undoubtedly is with an EPA rating of 82 MPGe combined. MPGe stands for miles per gallon of gas equivalent, an EPA metric that estimates PHEV and EV vehicle fuel efficiency. The gas-only model, on the other hand, returns middling fuel economy for the class. Though the EPA has yet to post the 2026 minivan's numbers, it's safe to assume the 2025 model's ratings—up to 19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined—will carry over. That said, the Pacifica Limited we tested surpassed these expectations, delivering a respectable 31 mpg on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route. For more information about the Pacifica's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Airy, spacious, and packed with cubbies, cupholders, and underfloor bins, the Pacifica is big on the features that minivan buyers love. Fit, finish, and materials are all decent, but a few down-market plastic pieces lurk inside the cabin. Upscale Limited and Pinnacle models come with taller center consoles that blend more seamlessly with the dashboard, giving those trims a more SUV-like feel from behind the wheel. The fancy Pinnacle model comes with quilted-leather upholstery and even offers matching lumbar pillows for the second-row captain's chairs—a feature we haven't seen since the last time the ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S-class visited our office. Because the Pacifica's standard Stow 'n Go seats need to be compact enough to fold into the van's floor, they have thinner padding than you'll find in rival vans. To make up for relinquishing the Stow 'n Go second row in the Pacifica Hybrid (the battery pack takes up all the underfloor-storage space), Chrysler engineers added extra cushioning to the standard captain's chairs. When it comes to hauling cargo, the Pacifica doesn't disappoint. We managed to fit 53 of our carry-on suitcases inside with the second- and third-row seats stowed. A built-in vacuum cleaner is available as an option, but it occupies space that can otherwise be devoted to an optional mini-spare tire. View Photos Chrysler Infotainment and Connectivity Chrysler's Uconnect 5 infotainment system displays on a glossy 10.1-inch touchscreen that's framed by climate-control vents on the van's dashboard. Uconnect 5 offers a reconfigurable home screen and Amazon Alexa integration. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An optional rear-seat entertainment system provides dual touchscreens to keep the kids placated and can be had with Amazon Fire TV, which provides access to movies and TV via embedded streaming apps. Up to 12 USB ports dot the Pacifica's cabin, including some that are the USB-C type, which offer quicker charging speeds for smart devices. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The Pacifica offers nearly every conceivable driver-assistance feature available today. For information about the Pacifica's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection Standard blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross-traffic alert Standard adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning Warranty and Maintenance Coverage The Pacifica's warranty package is par for the class, but can't match the Kia Carnival's lengthy terms. The Pacifica Hybrid model has a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty on hybrid components. Limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles Hybrid components are covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles No complimentary scheduled maintenance Specifications Specifications 2021 Chrysler Pacifica AWD VEHICLE TYPE front-engine, all-wheel-drive, 7-passenger, 4-door van PRICE AS TESTED $54,885 (base price: $39,535) ENGINE TYPE DOHC 24-valve V-6, aluminum block and heads, port fuel injection Displacement 220 in3, 3605 cm3 Power 287 hp @ 6400 rpm Torque 262 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm TRANSMISSION 9-speed automatic CHASSIS Suspension (F/R): struts/multilink Brakes (F/R): 13.8-in vented disc/13.3-in disc Tires: Falken Ziex CT50 A/S, 245/50R-20 102V M+S DIMENSIONS Wheelbase: 121.6 in Length: 204.3 in Width: 79.6 in Height: 70.7 in Passenger volume: 159 ft3 Cargo volume: 32 ft3 Curb weight: 4987 lb C/D TEST RESULTS 60 mph: 7.9 sec 100 mph: 22.0 sec Rolling start, 5–60 mph: 8.3 sec Top gear, 30–50 mph: 4.1 sec Top gear, 50–70 mph: 5.9 sec 1/4 mile: 16.1 sec @ 87 mph Top speed (governor limited): 111 mph Braking, 70–0 mph: 183 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.81 g Standing-start accel times omit 1-ft rollout of 0.4 sec. 2026 Volkswagen ID.4 Review, Pricing, and Specs
Overview The Volkswagen ID.4 is practical, relaxed, and comfortable; in essence, it's the everyman's compact electric SUV. With proportions that mimic the gas-powered Volkswagen Tiguan, spaciousness is one of the ID.4's standout traits. It also offers a bit of trim variety; 282-hp single-motor variants trade vigor for range and affordability while 335-hp dual-motor, AWD models flip that script and add in a bit more luxury. The ID.4 is plenty peppy, especially in all-wheel drive, dual-motor form, but it falls far short of being a corner carver. While the ID.4's starting price is undercut by some solid competitors like the Mustang Mach-E and Chevrolet Equinox EV, it is still a relative bargain considering its well-rounded disposition. What's New for 2026? The ID.4 received some substantial improvements in 2024, including a significantly revised infotainment system, updated software, and increased performance. For 2026, a factory HomeLink mirror on the S Plus model is the only new addition confirmed so far. However, Volkswagen says that the ID.4 will also receive a mid-2026 update that brings new features; more details will be given closer to the refresh's launch. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Volkswagen ID.4 is expected to start around $47,000 and go up to $59,000 depending on the trim and options. Pro $47,000 (est) Pro S $48,000 (est) S Plus $52,000 (est) Pro S Plus $59,000 (est) We'd opt for the rear-drive Pro to help maximize the ID.4's range. The Pro can also be had with all-wheel drive, which helps give the ID.4 extra performance and horsepower without consuming too much of its driving range. EV Motor, Power, and Performance EV Motors: 282 horsepower (Pro/Pro S); 335 horsepower (AWD Pro/AWD Pro S/AWD Pro S Plus) 282 horsepower (Pro/Pro S); 335 horsepower (AWD Pro/AWD Pro S/AWD Pro S Plus) Drivetrains: Single motor, rear-wheel drive (Pro/Pro S); dual motor, all-wheel drive (AWD Pro/AWD Pro S/AWD Pro S Plus) With the single rear-mounted motor, the ID.4 makes 282 horsepower. Dual-motor, all-wheel-drive models pump out 335. Regenerative braking helps recapture energy when slowing the vehicle, but the familiar one-pedal driving capability that EV pilots have come to appreciate is largely missing here, even in the ID.4's most aggressive regenerative mode. Also lacking is the traditional gut-punch acceleration that electric vehicles often provide. The ID.4 handles less sharply than some other EVs, but we appreciate its smooth and refined ride quality and quiet cabin. 0–60-MPH Times C/D Test: 60 mph in 7.3 seconds (Entry); 60 mph in 4.8 seconds (AWD models) In Comparison: The Volkswagen ID.4 delivers average acceleration for a vehicle in its class. Rivals like the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 have quicker single-motor variants, but the all-wheel-drive ID.4 models are sufficiently zippy. View Photos Volkswagen Towing and Payload Capacity While the Volkswagen ID.4 isn't the vehicle to choose if you foresee boat-hauling in your future, it still has the ability to tow up to 2700 pounds. Range, Charging, and Battery Life C/D Range Test: 240 miles (Dual Motor) 240 miles (Dual Motor) EPA/Claimed EV Range: 291 miles (Single Motor); 263 miles (Dual Motor) When we last tested an ID.4 on our 75-mph highway range test in 2024, an all-wheel drive Pro S model managed 240 miles, falling 23 miles short of its EPA estimate. The EPA hasn't released a figure for the rear-wheel-drive ID.4 since 2024, when it earned an estimated 291 miles of range. Without any significant changes to the ID.4's motor or battery tech since then, the 2026 model should achieve similar results. All Volkswagen ID.4 models come with a 77.0-kWh battery pack that can be charged at home on 110- or 240-volt connections. It is also capable of DC fast-charging. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe EPA city rating: 108 MPGe (Dual Motor) 108 MPGe (Dual Motor) EPA highway rating: 96 MPGe (Dual Motor) 2026 ID.4 MPGe figures aren't available yet, but the 2025 all-wheel-drive models earned ratings of 108 MPGe city, 96 MPGe highway, and 102 MPGe combined. The rear-wheel-drive variants haven't been evaluated since 2024, with the Pro and Pro S receiving ratings of 122 MPGe city, 104 MPGe highway, and 113 MPGe combined back then. MPGe stands for miles per gallon of gas equivalent, an EPA metric that estimates PHEV and EV vehicle fuel efficiency. For more information about the ID.4's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: The interior design is uncluttered and playful; cloth seats with heat for the front occupants are standard, but going with the Pro S model brings faux-leather upholstery along with 12-way power-adjustable front seats with a memory function. Second Row: The ID.4's modern and minimalist interior extends to the second row, where rear-seat passengers can enjoy plenty of head and leg room. The second row has a 60/40 fold-flat bench seat, meaning that it can be folded down for additional cargo space in the rear. Cargo Capacity: The ID.4's cargo area is quite spacious. We managed to fit eight carry-on suitcases behind the ID.4's rear seat and 26 total with the rear seats folded. View Photos Volkswagen Infotainment and Connectivity Infotainment: 12.9-inch touchscreen Connectivity: Wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging pad, Sound: Seven-speaker VW sound system; nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system in the Pro S Plus. The ID.4 comes standard with a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. The infotainment interface is VW's latest but not its greatest; we've found it to be fussy. Navigation is standard, and so are wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All ID.4 models also come with a 5.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge display and voice-recognition capability. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The electrified VW offers a host of standard and optional driver-assistance technology. For more information about the ID.4's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist Standard adaptive cruise control Warranty and Maintenance Coverage Volkswagen currently offers an above-average limited warranty and below-average powertrain coverage compared with rival non-luxury brands, but it offers two years or 20,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. The ID.4's electric components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. Limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles Battery components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles Complimentary maintenance is covered for two years or 20,000 miles C/D Test Results and Specs We test every vehicle we can. 2026 Rolls-Royce Spectre Review, Pricing, and Specs
Overview Rolls-Royce is a name synonymous with luxury—and not just luxury, ultra-luxury. Whether your discerning tastes settle on the Cullinan, Ghost, or Phantom, all deliver the utmost in quiet, comfortable motoring. But the brand's electric Spectre coupe takes it a step further with a truly silent electric powertrain. A pair of electric motors provides all-wheel drive and an output of either 577 or 650 horsepower, depending on which model you choose. Acceleration is effortless, but don't expect the Spectre to carve corners alongside the world's premier sports coupes. This two-door is more for relaxed cruising. Expert Tip: If you want a similarly luxurious experience with a side of athleticism, consider a model from Rolls-Royce's main rival, Bentley. What's New for 2026? The Spectre isn't expected to pick up any significant changes for 2026. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Rolls-Royce Spectre is expected to start around $398,000 and go up to $468,000 depending on the trim and options. Spectre $398,000 (est) Spectre Black Badge $468,000 (est) 0 $100k $200k $300k $400k $500k $600k $700k $800k Rolls-Royce will let you customize a Spectre pretty much any way you want. And that's a good thing, because, with a price tag this high, we expect buyers will want something truly personalized. We'd go with the more powerful Black Badge model because, well, why not? EV Motor, Power, and Performance EV Motors: 577-hp dual motor (standard); 650-hp dual-motor (Black Badge) 577-hp dual motor (standard); 650-hp dual-motor (Black Badge) Drivetrain: all-wheel drive The standard Spectre comes with a dual-motor electric powertrain with 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. After taking the Spectre on a test drive, we can assure you this is more than enough power to move the big coupe with authority. The Black Badge variant gets a sharp increase in power and torque to 650 horsepower and 793 pound-feet. Although sharp impacts still make themselves known, Rolls-Royce has installed adaptive suspension to ensure an appropriately isolated ride over all but the biggest bumps, and the engineers also made room for a massive amount of sound-deadening material to maintain a whisper-quiet cabin. And oh, how quiet it is. On the road, the Spectre is so silent inside that your ears pick up almost no sounds until you get up to 80 mph, and the wind starts to only slightly penetrate into the tomb-like cabin. At our test track, we recorded a very quiet 63-dB reading on our sound meter at a 70 mph cruise. 0–60-MPH Times In Comparison: You may scoff at a 3.7-second result and point to the Tesla Model S Plaid that hit 60 mph in 2.1 seconds in our testing, but we'd be quick to remind you that Rolls-Royce's brand ethos is more about quiet cruising than mind-bending performance. The Black Badge model will certainly be quicker to 60 mph than the standard one we tested, but we won't know exactly how quick it is until we can put it through its paces. View Exterior Photos Michael Simari | Car and Driver Range, Charging, and Battery Life C/D Range Test(s): 260 miles 260 miles EPA EV Range: 251-277 miles The Spectre sports a 102.0-kWh battery borrowed from the BMW i7, which is estimated to provide a driving range of up to 253 miles per charge when paired with 23-inch wheels. Going with the smaller 22-inch wheels increases the range estimate to as much as 277 miles per charge. Our test car wore the 23-inch wheels but still delivered an impressive 260 miles in our real-world highway range testing. DC fast-charging is standard, but we'd guess that most Spectre buyers will have a charging system installed at their estates so they aren't forced to wait around in the parking lot of a Walmart like the rest of us. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe EPA City Rating(s): 67-74 MPGe 67-74 MPGe EPA Highway Rating(s): 74-82 MPGe The EPA hasn't released any fuel economy information for the 2026 Spectre yet, but the 2025 model earned ratings as high as 74 MPGe city, 82 MPGe highway, and 77 MPGe combined. MPGe stands for miles per gallon of gas equivalent, an EPA metric that estimates PHEV and EV vehicle fuel efficiency. For more information about the Spectre's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: The Spectre's cabin offers space for four with bucket seats in both rows. Anyone familiar with Rolls-Royce's current interior design will find a similarly sybaritic one here, although the company has added several design features that are unique to Spectre. For example, in addition to the brand's signature starry-night headliner, the Spectre's door panels rock a similar twinkle with tiny LED lights sparkling in the area surrounding the armrests. There is also a seemingly endless array of personalization options and material choices. Second Row: Rear-hinged coach doors take some getting used to, but they open wide to make accessing the rear seat easy. The second row isn't as spacious as the first, but the seats are comfortable, and the Spectre offers plenty of amenities to accompany the cozy environment. Cargo Capacity: Considering the Spectre's size, its 10-cubic-foot trunk could be considered a little small, but it's easy to access thanks to a power trunk lid and should offer enough space for a weekend's worth of luggage or a sizable haul of shopping bags. View Interior Photos Michael Simari | Car and Driver Infotainment and Connectivity Infotainment: 10.1-inch touchscreen 10.1-inch touchscreen Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Audio System: 18-speaker Bespoke Audio stereo All Spectres come with a touchscreen infotainment system nestled into their well-trimmed dashboards. A digital gauge cluster is standard, too. The technology is well-integrated into the Spectre's interior design and doesn't distract from the ambiance.
