Love Island star reveals he's bought his mum a house after raking it in as an influencer
Love Island star, Dami Hope, has revealed he has treated his mum to a new house after making mega money from his influencer gigs. The 29-year-old has done well for himself since making his debut on the ITV dating show in 2022, where he met girlfriend, Indiyah Pollack.
Taking to Instagram, showing off the results of his work as a full-time influencer, in which he promotes a range of stuff, including designer clothes, concierge services - and Asos - Dami admitted he couldn't believe he was a property owner as he shared a slew of snaps of a fancy pad, which featured a custom painting of himself and his mum on the wall.
Captioning the carousel, in which Dami can be seen grinning in his mum's new kitchen next to a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of flowers, he wrote: "I actually can't believe I'm typing this… I bought a house in the UK. But not just any house—this one's for my mum.
"After years of manifesting, grinding, praying (and dodging the when will you buy a house? chats), this moment right here is different.
"My siblings, you already know—you're part of the furniture now."
Paying tribute to his dad, who sadly died last year, he added: "Dad, I wish you were here to see this. Everything I am is because of you both. This one's for you too."
Continuing, he said of the house, which features a plush glass annexe and sizeable garden: "Growing up in an African household, the pressure is real.
"But now I can officially tell my mum to retire that question because guess what? She's living in the answer. By God's grace, we did it."
Earlier this year, Dami revealed he was flogging things on Vinted, with their listed items ranging from £3 to £300.
Since his time in the villa, the former microbiologist from Ireland has collaborated with various brands on social media, including modelling different outfits in posts over the years. The former islander has also launched his own fashion brand, Snow Bunny.
And amid growing interest in 'pre-loved fashion,' in a post on his Instagram Story, Dami revealed that he has an account on Vinted and showed off what he was selling.
Sharing snaps of some Levis trainers and a Pretty Little Thing mini skirt, he wrote: "Getting rid of some bits on @vinted." He shared his account name @hopecollections365 and said he would also post on another online marketplace, Grailed, adding: "Gonna upload to Grailed later also."
Last year, the reality star revealed his father had sadly died as he shared emotional photos from his funeral, telling fans he's 'learning how to live without him.'
The final photo was of the sun shining through the clouds, as Dami captioned the post: "The healing chapter: learning to live without him."

AI used to aid Love Island casting process, ITV boss says
Speaking as ITV announced its half-year results, Dame Carolyn McCall said the broadcaster uses AI in many ways. 'We will use AI in any way we can to make what we do more efficient,' she told members of the media. 'And a great example of that for me from (ITV) Studios is they're using a tool where it's a smart editing assistance and it's about speed and quality. 'And they used it for Love Island and casting this year. 'So that productivity gain means that they can go and do other things, which is really, really good.' Love Island has been a huge ratings hit for ITV since its launch in 2015, with each series receiving around 100,000 applications from members of the public. A spokeswoman for ITV later explained that generative AI does not make any decisions during the Love Island casting process, but is used to edit hundreds of hours of footage into highlight reels for members of the team to then watch. 'It simply assists with the editing of audition tapes during the casting period,' she said. 'We get thousands and thousands of applications every year and we hold face to face auditions. 'When we get to the stage of narrowing it down to hundreds of prospective Islanders and we want to share audition highlights on a reel with the ITV commissioning team, to support the casting decision, we use the software (Quickture along with an Adobe editing programme) to edit the hundreds of hours of footage into highlight reels. 'It means that the casting team can then spend more time researching and finding more prospective Islanders.' Announcing its latest results on Thursday, ITV said it had stepped up cost-cutting plans again following a slump in half-year profits. The broadcaster said it was slashing costs by another £15 million, on top of £30 million previously announced, with spend on content being trimmed. The group flagged using technology among efforts to drive the latest round of cost-cutting.

She made the comments during a recent appearance on the Not My Bagg podcast and was asked by the hosts if things were amicable with Dan while filming the latest Towie season or if the situation between the pair was tense. "Nothing's kicked off with us on camera... obviously off screen there's been a hell of a lot of conversations and look at the end of the day, I don't feel as if I've been treated with much respect, so I felt as if I needed to say certain things," Ella said. "But away from the show, because it's personal life. He was just my boyfriend before Towie, he was my boyfriend because we actually had a lot of love and care. It wasn't a 'showmance'." Ella added: "So it's been really hard to navigate what I show on TV for the whole world to see, and then what is personal, because it's private." The reality TV star was also quizzed about whispers that Dan already has a new girlfriend, but she refused to partake in gossip. "There's a lot of rumors going around that he's seeing someone [and I respect myself. I also respect that girl as well," Ella said to which the podcast hosts described her as an "unbothered queen." Last month, Dan, 35, caused a stir on a Jet2 flight from London Stansted to Faro in Portugal after making a bold move on a woman mid-journey as Ella watched on. An onlooker told The Sun there were 'sparks flying' - but not everyone was enjoying the in-flight entertainment. CBB ex Ella, 24, was accused of shooting 'death stares' to Dan during the entire conversation as Love Island: All Stars couple Sammy Root and Elma Pazar watched on. An image obtained by The Sun shows Dan locked in conversation with the stunning brunette, who he chatted to for 15 minutes after the pair were 'drawn to each other' in the departure queue. A source told The Sun: 'We saw Dan Edgar chatting away to a woman who was on a hen do on our flight - the plane was full of the entire Towie cast. 'One of the girls from the hen do, he took a liking to. He was with her for quite a fair bit of the flight and his cast members didn't seem too happy. 'You could tell it was a flirty exchange - they were laughing alot. There were definitely sparks flying." Dan's potential new romance comes as the Towie cast jetted off to Portugal to kick off filming for the long-running ITV reality series' 15th anniversary. 5 Dan was spotted chatting to a new woman on a flight to Portugal Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk

I saw Prince Harry's rude side in Malawi – he was a patronising idiot and even his team were LIVID, expert slams
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A ROYAL expert claimed she saw Prince Harry's rude side while on a trip to Malawi and he was a "patronising" idiot. Sky News royal editor Rhiannon Mills made the comments while appearing on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show. Harry had invited the media as he visited a health clinic in a remote village in Malawi as part of the Sussexes' African tour. He talked to health officials and children suffering from malaria and Aids before being ushered to a waiting vehicle by palace officials. But Harry appeared annoyed when he was asked an unscheduled question about the visit as he was whisked away. Rhiannon told The Sun's Matt Wilkinson that she'd had a good working relationship with the prince previously, but this time "he got very grumpy". She said: "New Zealand was classic Harry. "I did this interview with him, he said 'I'd love to have kids right now'. "We had this really good rapport. It wasn't a friendship, it was friendliness, but he was always really helpful." So when she asked him a question in Malawi, she was shocked at his response. "Fast forward to the South Africa trip, which was sort of seen as quite make or break for them, because they'd had some negative headlines over the holidays. And actually that trip was going really well. "We were flying around in these little planes with him. "We were in Malawi and I was a bit under the cosh because I had to do kind of a special to end off the week. "So as he was about to walk past me, I thought, right, I'll do what I've done over the years. I'll just ask him a quick question. We've all done it, the dreaded doorstep. "It was a terrible question. It was a rubbish question. I just sort of said, 'oh, why is it so important for you to come here?' "And he looked at me and said 'oh, well just go and ask those people over there'. And I probably inside thought, hang on a minute, I'm not gonna leave this one. "I said, well, is that why it's so important for you to come here? And then he turned around and just said, 'Rhiannon, don't behave like that'. "And then got in his car and drove off. I felt like I'd looked like an idiot. "He looked really patronising. Nobody came out of it looking good." She added: "Anyway, it all blew up with his team. They were livid. "And then it was when we got back to Johannesburg and it was in that evening that that letter dropped, the 10 paragraph letter, accusing the Royal Press Pack of everything under the sun and saying that 'we're gonna sue the Mail on Sunday'. "So immediately I just realised, I frankly kicked the bear and I just didn't realise it at the time." The Duke of Sussex released the unprecedented statement on his personal website, complaining of 'relentless propaganda' against his wife Meghan Markle. He went on to announce the couple are launching legal action against the Mail on Sunday newspaper, which published extracts of a letter written by Meghan to her father Thomas Markle. 5 The Duke of Sussex takes part in a discussion with young people during a visit to the Mauwa Health Centre in Blantyre, Malawi, on day nine of the Royal tour of Africa Credit: PA:Press Association
