NORMAN — An OU softball game at The Horseshoe?
Sooners skipper Patty Gasso said Sunday that she recently got a text from Ohio State coach Kirin Kumar, who pitched a Sooners-Buckeyes showdown at Ohio Stadium.

'I don't know the dimensions or anything but we would do it in a heartbeat,' Gasso said. 'We would love to do it here but I know that it does take some work to make that happen, (Owen Field) just doesn't fit right.'
Gasso mentioned the Ohio State possibility when asked about the idea of an OU-Texas softball game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
Attendance for the OU-Texas game in Norman on Sunday was 4,609 — a Love's Field record.
OU softball is the biggest draw in the sport, and Gasso said she's willing to play wherever.
'That's our job,' Gasso said, 'is to help push this sport.'
OU football has twice played at the Horseshoe, in 1977 and 2017. Maybe OU softball is up next.
