Mahavatar Narsimha Is Set To Enter The Rs 100 Crore Net India Club In Weekend 3
Mahavatar Narsimha will enter the Rs 100 crore net India club, most likely over its 3rd weekend. The lifetime of the movie will depend upon how it holds after the release of War 2 and Coolie. Both the pre-Independence day releases are going to try and get as many screens as they can for themselves, and it is going to be very tight.
Regardless, for Mahavatar Narsimha, all that it gets from here is technically bonus, as it opened to collections of just Rs 1 crore on day 1. The main aim of the movie was to make animated movies, mainstream; and it has succeeded in doing so. The upcoming films from the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, are set to get a reception that is even stronger than Mahavatar Narsimha. With this movie, producers have got the confidence that the audiences are willing to explore different genres and different film forms, as long as they entertain them.
The fact that Mahavatar Narsimha is India's most preferred option for the current week and also the next week, despite biggies like Kingdom and Son Of Sardaar 2 releasing, further proves its acceptance
Mahavatar Narsimha plays in theatres now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.

EXCLUSIVE: Aditya Chopra holds back on Hrithik Roshan v/s NTR face off dance in War 2 for big screen
Aditya Chopra brings Kajra Re & Dhoom 3 music strategy back for War 2, will only give glimpse of Hrithik-NTR song pre-release to preserve magic for big screen! Aditya Chopra is known for disruptive thinking when it comes to mounting tentpoles of India for over 30 years now and for War 2, he is bringing back his Kajra Re & Dhoom 3's Kamli music strategy! Yash Raj Films will only release a glimpse of the hugely-anticipated Hrithik Roshan & NTR dance off in War 2 and preserve the magic of seeing them dancing with each other only for the big screen when people throng to watch War 2 from August 14th. The song glimpse is set to drop this week. A trade source discloses, 'War 2 is the biggest tentpole film of this country in 2025 and everything about War 2 is hugely anticipated. Everyone's eyes are on NTR & Hrithik's dance number and Aditya Chopra knows this. He wants to keep building the hype and hunger for this song till the release and not give the full song to people to watch it for free. He wants to bring people into theatres to watch War 2 and experience the magic of seeing Hrithik & NTR dancing together on the big screen, just as it is supposed to be consumed.' The source adds, 'This is classic Aditya Chopra strategy. He preserved the best song of Bunty Aur Babli, Kajre Re, pre-release and people were blown seeing it in theatres. He locked up all the songs of Dhoom 3 and people were crazy for them in theatres for them, like Kamli exploded. He knows he has gold with him in the NTR-Hrithik dance song and he will not give it out just like that. He wants people to come to theatres to watch it and then he wants people to keep coming back to theatres to enjoy it more and more because it will be unavailable on the internet. Aditya Chopra is playing the box office game with footfalls and ticket sales for War 2 being top priority for him.' Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe's War 2 also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. The film is set to release on August 14th in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil.

Vivek Agnihotri breaks silence on multiple FIRs filed against The Bengal Files: 'They are challenging our guts, courage'
Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is facing mounting legal heat ahead of the release of his upcoming film 'The Bengal Files'. In a video statement, Agnihotri revealed that multiple FIRs have been filed against him and the film by members of the ruling party in West Bengal. Despite the pressure, he remains defiant and plans to launch the trailer in the state itself. 'The ruling party of West Bengal and their members have been filing so many FIRs against us in different cities. That is their strategy. I was quiet and did not share this information with anyone because we were taking the legal course. I have great faith in Indian judiciaries, especially Calcutta High Court,' he said. 'The Calcutta High Court has given us a stay on all these FIRs, but as the case was being heard in the High Court, at the same time, they filed more FIRs. The ruling party wants to trap us with so many legal hassles and battles so that we cannot focus on the promotion of the film. This strategy has been deployed by them for a very long time.' Agnihotri also detailed the challenges of making the film. 'I must tell you it's one of the most defining and important films. It uncovers many dark chapters of our history.' He added, 'I have finished the film. It has taken a lot from us. We have put in whatever we had to make this very difficult film. We were not allowed to shoot in Bengal. We had to shoot the entire film in Bombay. Now, with our limited resource, we want this film to reach every citizen of India.' He concluded the video by saying, 'This is people's film. It is your film. I want you to support us. I want you to expose all those agencies and powers who do not want this film to come out. They are challenging our guts and courage. They want to see how we are going to fight. We are alone while they have the state power. But I have taken this challenge and I am going to release the trailer of the film in West Bengal. Nobody can silence me because nobody can silence the truth.' The Bengal Files, originally titled 'The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter', is an upcoming Hindi-language film directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. It serves as the third and final instalment in Agnihotri's 'Files Trilogy' on modern Indian history, following 'The Tashkent Files' (2019) and 'The Kashmir Files' (2022). The film focuses on the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings. The project is set to be released in two parts. The first instalment, titled 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life', is slated to hit theatres on September 5, 2025, coinciding with Teachers' Day in India. Set against the backdrop of the 1940s, the film delves into the violence that engulfed undivided Bengal, spotlighting pivotal events such as Direct Action Day in 1946 and the Noakhali riots.
