Why a photo comparison of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom is going viral

A photo comparison of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom going viral has struck a nerve with many women.
The former Hollywood power couple announced their split today in a joint statement and it used the typical flowery language that accompanies a celebrity break-up - ever since Gwyneth Paltrow made 'consciously uncoupling' cool with Chris Martin.
The pop singer, 40, and actor, 48, have been engaged for six years after getting together back in 2017.
They welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020.
In a joint statement the pair said that their daughter will remain their 'priority' and they will focus on moving forward as a family with 'love, stability and mutual respect', but their romantic relationship is over.
Rumours have been swirling for weeks that their relationship is over, and the fact that Orlando Bloom attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding solo only increased the pressure.
While Bloom was seen looking glam and hanging out with fellow wedding guests like A-lister Sydney Sweeney and Kylie Jenner, Perry was touring across the world with her Lifetimes Tour and was spotted travelling with their young daughter.
It is a comparison that fans and particularly women are struggling with, because, well, no one wants to see their ex-partner hanging out in Italy and looking relaxed and gorgeous.
You want them to be housebound and gaining some stress break-up weight. Under no circumstances do you want them looking tanned and hanging out with movie stars who are in their 20s.
One particular tweet went viral as someone online pointed out the stark difference in the lives since their separation.
Bloom is rubbing shoulders with upcoming A-listers like Sydney Sweeney, and Perry is seen walking through an airport with their young daughter.
He is having a hot man European summer, and she's dealing with airport security lines; it hardly seems fair.
He looks like he's never been doing better, and she looks like she's struggling through a difficult time.
Online women have shown a lot of support for Perry, commenting that they feel 'so bad' or 'so sorry' for her.
'This is why I don't trust men,' one wrote.
Others, though, don't really get it.
As someone wrote, 'Orlando has done nothing wrong', and another said the comparison photos left them more 'confused' than anything else.
Women, though, in general seem to get it, because it isn't really about Bloom or Perry personally, but rather what the photos represent.
While Perry is with their daughter and dealing with a demanding work schedule, Bloom is on holiday and living it up.
The truth is, photos seldom tell us how anyone feels.
We've all been at a party and looked like we were having the time of our lives and then cried in the Uber on the way home.
But it is hard for Bloom's actions not to look flippant.
No one wants their ex to be having the time of their lives days after you've called it off, while you're trekking through an airport.
The photos have hit a nerve with women because we all know what it is like to have your heartbroken and feel like the man that things didn't work out with is doing perfectly fine. That is really annoying!
While it's true; Bloom has done nothing wrong, the comparison photos certainly don't feel right when you're looking at them.

Brad Pitt's ‘biggest regret' revealed after settling ‘toxic' Angelina Jolie divorce: report

Brad Pitt has a new outlook on life following his divorce from Angelina Jolie. The F1 star, who recently opened up about life's 'struggles' during the latest episode of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, wants to move forward and put the past behind him. 'The divorce is something that had been controlling his life for so many years,' a source told Us Weekly of his split from the Maleficent star. 'He loved her and he knows he made mistakes.' 'It was such a divisive, toxic situation,' the insider added of their divorce that took eight years to finalise, per Page Six. Pitt and Jolie started dating in 2004. They tied the knot 10 years later, but the marriage only lasted two years. Throughout their 12-year romance, they expanded their family and now share six children together: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. Following the split, however, Pitt's relationship with his kids became strained as he and the Girl, Interrupted actress spent years fighting over custody. The events surrounding their split — like the 2016 plane incident and his battle with alcoholism — 'turned the kids against him.' However, Pitt 'doesn't blame [Jolie] for everything,' the insider said. Pitt also hopes to make things right with his kids. His 'biggest regret is he can't repair this,' the source revealed. 'The case is over but there are no winners.' 'To have that behind him is a relief. But on the other hand, it's been hard for him because he doesn't have a great relationship with his kids.' Since the split, Pitt, 61, has been working on his sobriety and it has reportedly changed his perspective on life. 'Ever since he stopped drinking, everything has changed,' the insider said. During a June appearance on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, Pitt told listeners that he went to AA meetings while 'pretty much on [his] knees' and needing to 'wake the f**k up.' The Golden Globe winner recalled, 'I was trying anything and everything, anything anyone threw at me. … It was a difficult time. I needed rebooting.' However, Jolie, 50, 'is still not in a place where she is going to forgive him or ever will,' the insider told Us Weekly in their report published on Thursday. The insider explained that Pitt, who is now in a serious relationship with Ines de Ramon, is 'relieved that this [divorce] is over.' Still, 'the lasting impact is something he's going to live with forever.' A rep for Pitt did not immediately respond to Page Six 's request for comment.

Lizzo reveals the ‘truth' about her weight loss with before and after photos

Truth hurts. Lizzo shared the real story about her weight loss journey alongside a dramatic set of before and after photos. 'The photo on the left is my first time getting lymphatic massage from Flavia [of Flavia Lanini Beauty Institute] and the right is the most recent!' the Good as Hell singer captioned the underwear-clad side-by-side mirror selfies on Thursday, reports Page Six. 'In light of all these magazines and blogs wanting me to be on ozempic soooo bad — here's the truth! I work my a** off, training 3x a week, daily sauna & cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet, hiring a chef who helps me meal prep and keeps track of what I put into my body in a calorie deficit, cutting out sugary Starbucks & full fat sodas & potato chips … I quit drinking for the longest … (but I'm drinking again cus I earned it!).' The Grammy winner added, 'I play pickleball and hike and walk on the beach and move my body and dance and drink water. I detox! Once a month!' Lizzo divulged that she also receives 'holistic body work' along with wood therapy and lymphatic massages to keep in shape. 'I'm so happy and proud of what I've done and no one can take that away from me, ' she concluded the triumphant post. Fans flooded the comments thread with support. 'Love love love! Keep honouring yourself! Looking awesome lady, ï¸' wrote a fan, while another remarked, 'We loved you THEN and we love you NOW.' Lizzo's detailed health and fitness routine comes just weeks after she addressed the topic of her weight loss on Trisha Paytas' Just Trish podcast in June. 'I've tried everything,' the singer, 37 said. 'Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full,' she said. 'But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing.' She also defended people who use the weight loss drug. 'It's not easy,' she said. 'It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with.' The singer insisted that 'telling someone they're cheating' by using it is a form of fatphobia. The singer previously clapped back at speculation after a fan questioned if she used 'ozempic or did she snort coke' via a September 2024 Instagram post. 'whyyyy do u follow me?' she replied, along with a row of crying emojis. She put the social media user on blast in a subsequent post, sharing his profile with her fans. In a clip, she donned a red silk robe and stared at the camera with text reading, 'When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit,' as she lip synched a voiceover saying the accusation was 'like a reward.' In a 2024 interview, the singer — who has been sharing her weight loss progress with fans since 2023 — confessed that she sometimes has mixed feelings amid her journey. 'I'm not going to lie and say I love my body every day,' the About Damn Time singer told the New York Times. 'The bottom line is, the way you feel about your body changes every single day,' she continued. 'There are some days I adore my body, and others when I don't feel completely positive.'

Best friend of Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' late ex-wife has shocking reaction to verdict

Kim Porter's best friend, Eboni Elektra, has stayed silent about Sean 'Diddy' Combs' legal troubles — until now. The 54-year-old broke her silence via Instagram on Wednesday after the rapper's mixed verdict was revealed, reports Page Six. The Grammy winner, notably, was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering. 'PRAISE GOD,' Elektra captioned a close-up photo of Combs' face. 'OPINIONS …. we are all entitled to them. MISTAKES … we all make them. JUDGING … we all do it. GOSSIP …. we are all guilty of it. 'GOD'S WILL … is higher than any opinion, mistake, Judgement, or gossip,' she continued. 'If this is God's will for Puff / diddy, than that's His will. In the end, what we think does not compare to His will.' Elektra concluded by asking, 'WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE??? That's God's job. It's all in His hands. U never know. #isallintheword#readyourbible … my opinionâ¤ï¸.' T.I.'s wife, Tameka 'Tiny' Harris supported Elektra in the comments, defending 'being freaky.' Many social media users, however, blasted Elektra's reaction, calling her a 'clown.' One claimed, 'Poor Kim it's becoming very apparent she had no REAL friends,' while another added, 'You haven't made not one comment about this until now. Really should've kept it that way, but hey.' A third pointed out that Combs' on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend Cassie — who testified in Combs' six-week trial about the alleged rape and physical abuse she endured during their relationship — follows Elektra and may have seen the 'sick' post. Cassie, 38, dated the Bad Boy Records founder between 2007 and 2018. Porter, for her part, was romantically linked to Combs from 1994 to 2007, and the duo shared four kids — Quincy, 34, Christian 'King,' 27, and twins D'Lila and Jessie, 18. Combs, notably, is also the father of Justin, 31, Chance, 18, and Love, 2. Porter, whose children have supported Combs in court, died in November 2018 at age 47. Five years later, Combs' legal battle kicked off when Cassie sued him in a bombshell lawsuit, which he quickly settled for $20 million. The dancer's claims, as well as a 2016 video that surfaced of Combs beating Cassie in a hotel, led many to speculate about his dynamic with Porter — including the late model's 'disgusted' dad. 'I didn't know he could stoop that low,' Jake Porter told Rolling Stone last year, saying it gave him a 'different outlook' that made him 'wonder' about Combs. The record executive was arrested in September 2024 following headline-making raids on his homes, with his federal court case beginning in May. Combs is facing up to 20 years in prison. He was denied bail on Wednesday due to a 'disregard for the rule of law and a propensity of violence.' Combs' sentencing is scheduled for October 3.
