Interviewing for Chipped Ham & Football, Will Howard complimented Aaron Rodgers for being willing to lead him on and off the field—an initial indicator of a great relationship within the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback group.
Aaron Rodgers plays instrumental mentoring role for rookie quarterback Will Howard
For Will Howard, the recruit of the Pittsburgh Steelers from the 2024
NFL
Draft, the professional football transition has been facilitated more easily by none other than Aaron Rodgers. While Aaron Rodgers will oversee the Pittsburgh Steelers offense this season, he's already taken on a secondary but vital role—that of mentor to the Kansas State quarterback.
In a recent visit to the Chipped Ham & Football podcast with insider Brian Batko, Will Howard spoke about his experience of working alongside Aaron Rodgers.

"He's been so awesome to me so far," Howard said. "I mean, obviously we've only gotten to be together for about three days, but I got a really good feeling about him and about this whole QB room. I think we already, in this past week, meshed really well — hit it off. I think we got a good vibe, good group, and Aaron's been just so willing to help me. He's like, 'Literally, as much or as little as you want me to help you, I'll be there.

' He's already given me tips, little things here and there — even in the meeting room, on the field, in my drops, different little things. Obviously, I can't do the things that he can do mechanically, so I don't want to replicate that too much because that's pretty unique. But, for the most part, everything I can learn from that guy is invaluable."
Rodgers' tutelage has added another level of intrigue to the Steelers' offseason story.
Earlier this year, there had been whispers that former Pittsburgh Steelers great quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was coaching Howard. While that was welcome news, Howard now has the chance to learn from two possible Hall of Famers—a fantasist's best case for any young quarterback entering the spotlight of the NFL.

As the Pittsburgh Steelers plan for the future, the relationship between Aaron Rodgers and Will Howard may prove to be a key element in the success of their quarterback plan. Howard's initial statements illustrate a spirit of respect and mentorship on both sides, which may speed up his development within the NFL. With Rodgers leading the way and the Steelers offering the stage, Will Howard's path is off to a good beginning in Pittsburgh.

'I played with Kapil Dev but ... ': Ravi Shastri calls Jasprit Bumrah 'greatest' of all time
Kapil Dev and Jasprit Bumrah NEW DELHI: Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has hailed Jasprit Bumrah as the best fast bowler India has ever produced in the history of men's international cricket. Bumrah finished Day 2 of the first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy with figures of 3 for 48 from 12 overs, standing out in an otherwise lacklustre bowling performance by India. His tally could have been even better had Ravindra Jadeja not dropped Ben Duckett at backward point when the batter was on 15. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Later in the day, Bumrah also dismissed Harry Brook just before stumps, but replays revealed it was a no-ball. 'There is no question he is India's greatest fast bowler. I played with Kapil Dev but this guy is different. He can take any opposition apart, on any surface, in any format,' said Shastri in a chat with Sky Sports ahead of Day 3. He further compared Bumrah's skill to West Indies great Malcolm Marshall . 'I thought Malcolm Marshall was the best I saw in reading a batter and setting him up but this guy is not far behind. Where I have seen Bumrah improve is getting swing with the new ball. When he is swinging the new ball it becomes hard for any batter in the world to counter him, what with the action and the late release.' Despite India's middle-order collapse, Shastri believes the team still holds the edge in the contest and could seize control if Bumrah strikes early on Day 3. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Our one of a kind Patented Cold Water Extraction Process Superior Ginseng Undo Sitanshu Kotak press conference: Big revelation on Shubman Gill 'I think India will be disappointed that they didn't add another 75 or 80 runs but towards the end of day two, getting Root out, has evened things.' 'I think they still have the upper hand. They have the runs on the board and you know what Bumrah can do. He can crack this game open in the first hour or so. IND vs ENG: Viral moment! Rishabh Pant's six makes Headingley security official an instant hero
Rishabh Pant (Getty Images) NEW DELHI: India were bowled out for a formidable 471 in their first innings of the opening Test against England at Headingley, with three centurions — captain Shubman Gill , vice-captain Rishabh Pant , and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal — leading the charge. Jaiswal (101) and KL Rahul (42) provided a solid foundation with a 91-run opening stand, setting the tone for India's innings. Gill (147) and Pant (134) then took over, stitching together a 209-run partnership for the fourth wicket, taking the game away from the hosts with a mix of grit and flair. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Pant was the most aggressive of the trio, blasting 12 fours and six sixes in his 134 off 178 balls. It marked his seventh Test century — the most by an Indian wicketkeeper-batter in the format, surpassing MS Dhoni 's record of six. The milestone moment came in style as Pant launched Shoaib Bashir over the ropes on the first ball of the 100th over to reach his century. One of Pant's six towering sixes even landed in the stands, where a security official caught it cleanly — prompting cheers from the Headingley crowd and a warm smile and wave from the lucky catcher, whose moment of joy was captured on camera. This was Pant's first Test hundred since September 2024, when he scored 109 against Bangladesh. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! Allar is a highly touted arm talent with plenty of poise under center, while Allen's a workhorse runner who can push the ball downhill. Defensively, acrobatic edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton was a 92 overall, too. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo That combination of size, strength, and burst is a quarterback's nightmare!
