Ginny and Georgia season 3: Who plays Tris? Meet Noah Lamanna

Cosmopolitan09-06-2025
Ginny & Georgia is back and (quite possibly) better than ever as season three finally arrived on our Netflix screens late last week. Amongst all the drama (read: Georgia on trial for murder), there's also been new romances, plenty of surprises and some new cast members too.
One of two main new arrivals for this season is Noah Lamanna, who plays Tris, Abby's love interest. Curious to know more? Then consider this everything you need to know on new Ginny & Georgia character Tris.
Tris is first introduced in episode two of the new series, as one of Marcus' skateboarding acquaintances.
We then meet Tris again in episode four, after Abby is told by her mum she's been signed up for tutoring lessons. Given a tough couple of months, Abby's grades have slipped and her mum is determined to help her out.
Abby begins working with Tris and soon finds herself developing feelings for her tutor.
Tris is played by 34-year-old Noah Lamanna. And this isn't the first time you've seen Noah on your screens already this year.
The actor, who uses the pronouns they/them, has already appeared in season two of The Last of Us earlier this year. Noah played Kat, who Ellie had a brief fling with, and is a member of the town who often goes on patrol alongside Joel, Ellie and Dina.
They previously spoke about working with the cast, describing the 'out of body' experience they had when geting ready on set with Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel, and Bella Ramsey who plays Ellie.
Speaking to Get Out Mag, Noah said: "Bella and Pedro were both there. They were in costume, talking to each other in character in rehearsal, and I had an out of body moment watching them, thinking, 'Oh, wait, I watched the show. How did I get here?' Sort of looking around and thinking, 'This doesn't make sense. Why am I in the show that I watched? How did I get teleported here?' It was something that I've not experienced before. I have been in shows before that I watched. But that was very specifically impactful."
Noah, who has been acting since 2012 has also had roles in series such as The Umbrella Academy, EZRA, The Ghost Writer, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Beacon 23.
Noah announced they were taking part in Ginny & Georgia season three back in September 2024 when they shared the casting announcement on their Instagram, captioning it: "Excited for a new school year 🛹 ☺️."
While speaking to Get Out, Noah emphasised how lovely the whole cast were when they joined in the third season.
"It was really lovely working with that cast. They were also welcoming. We had a lot of fun together. I was really grateful to just be embraced and brought in like that in the third season," they told the publication. "It seemed like a seamless transition. It was nice having a thorough arc throughout the show. To really get comfortable and know everybody and have a place to play. That was really nice."
Noah also revealed they took skateboarding lessons in order to become more like their character of Tris.

SPLINTER CELL Series Creator Derek Kolstad Explains Why Sam Fisher Is 'Not the Best' — GeekTyrant

Netflix's upcoming animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is bringing back stealth icon Sam Fisher, but not exactly the way longtime fans might expect. Series creator Derek Kolstad, the writer behind John Wick and Nobody , recently opened up about his approach to the character, and he doesn't see Sam Fisher as ultimate ghost operative. Kolstad told Den of Geek: 'One of the things that I like about Sam Fisher, John Wick, and Hutch Mansell [from Nobody] is that, yes, they're pretty badass at what they do but, more importantly, they're not the best. They get beat up.' That an interesting outlook considering Fisher's reputation as one of gaming's most elite covert agents, but Kolstad seems intent on making him more grounded and vulnerable. This means that Deathwatch might lean toward a grittier, hands-on style similar to Splinter Cell: Conviction , rather than the purely shadow-driven approach from the original trilogy. In the early games, Fisher was a master of infiltration, relying on high-tech gadgets and his iconic night vision goggles to ghost through missions without leaving a trace. Kolstad went on to explain: 'You look at the games, and he's incredibly adept and comfortable at tech, but sometimes a bullet or a blade or the ripping out of some cord is your best line of defense.' That philosophy hints at a Fisher who isn't invincible, and whose fights might be a little more brutal and desperate this time around. But Kolstad believes the heart of the character remains the same. 'I always loved the world of Splinter Cell. I'm a huge fan of army-of-one [stories] if you do it right. And yet, even though he's had hard decisions to make, it's just refreshing that Sam Fisher's a hero. 'He has moments of empathy and having to do this thing when both decisions are wrong, but one is a little less wrong at the cost of his soul and his own personal life, but for the benefit of the rest of us.' Splinter Cell: Deathwatch will feature Liev Schreiber as the voice of Sam Fisher, stepping into the role long held by Michael Ironside. The series made its first appearance at the Annecy Festival, where director Guillaume Dousse revealed some of the visual and tonal inspirations for the show, citing Ghost in the Shell , Ozark , and even elements of Mission: Impossible . Producer Hugo Revon added: 'It was interesting to have this aging character, not totally like the Tom Cruise version but more realistic, and more weathered by life.' The series is set to hit Netflix in late 2025, joining the platform's growing roster of video game adaptations like Castlevania and the upcoming Devil May Cry series. Meanwhile, fans are still waiting on that elusive Splinter Cell remake, which Ubisoft teased years ago but hasn't delivered any meaningful updates on. So, how do you feel about a Sam Fisher who isn't the best at what he does?

'Wednesday'-themed Meal of Misfortune available at Wendy's: See what's in it

Wendy's has teamed up with hit Netflix show "Wednesday" on a new meal the chain calls "pure punishment in a bag." The limited-time meal, unveiled on – you guessed it – Wednesday, July 23, is centered around four mystery sauces called the "Dips of Dread," along with "Rest in 10-Piece" nuggets, small "Cursed & Crispy" fries, and a new Frosty flavor called "Raven's Blood." The items will all be served in custom packaging, according to Wendy's. The meal, called the "Meal of Misfortune," will coincide with the release of Season 2 of "Wednesday" on Netflix. The show will be in two parts. Part 1 will premiere on Aug. 6 at 3 a.m. ET and Part 2 will be available on Sept. 3 at 3 a.m. ET. When and where can I get the 'Wednesday' meal? The items will be at restaurants and via the Wendy's app nationwide beginning Monday, Aug. 4, according to Wendy's. In Canada, customers can get the meal in restaurants or via the Wendy's app starting Monday, Aug. 11. The fast-food chain said the Meal of Misfortune will also be available at Wendy's locations in Puerto Rico, The Bahamas and Guam. "Wendy's and Wednesday are both cultural icons famous for challenging convention with wit and a bit of sass," said Liz Geraghty, international chief marketing officer for The Wendy's Company, in a news release. "This isn't a typical collaboration, because not just any brand could scheme up a Meal of Misfortune with Wednesday Addams. But for a brand that's proudly customer-obsessed and unapologetically bold, it was a match made in dark, dry-witted heaven." The meal has already gone viral as fans took to social media to chronicle their journey of waiting in line for hours for the meal at a restaurant in Norwalk, California, which held a special drive-thru event last week. Wendy's said two mystery dipping sauces come in each meal, adding that "fate will decide which of the four dips" customers receive. The four flavors are called: "Don't bother asking which sauce you'll get – you must surrender to your destiny. Those brave enough to try them all must endure multiple visits," Wendy's said in the news release.
