Texas OT recruiting target Felix Ojo issues statement after struggling at five-star camp
One of the Longhorns biggest (literally) recruiting targets is Mansfield, TX five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo. The 6-foot-7, 279 pound lineman recently took an official visit to the 40 Acres, after cancelling an official visit to Oklahoma.
Like many elite prospects, including recent Texas five-star DE commit Richard Wesley, Ojo is in Indianapolis this week for the Rivals Five-Star Challenge. The camp pits 100 of the best prospects in the nation against each other.
During Monday's media day, Ojo spoke to Rivals about his tough commitment decision, which he says is between Ohio State and Texas.
But a day later at the camp inside the Colts practice facility, Ojo struggled. Clip after clip were blasted all over social media of the Lake Ridge High School prospect floundering against the top defensive talent in the country, including Wesley.
The negative buzz got so deafening, Ojo released a statement on social media.
A player can have a bad day at a camp like this for many reasons. Ojo could have just needed a mechanical adjustment. But events like the Rivals all-star camp can also expose a prospect that has dominated in his high school district, but not against five-stars.
Remember, if you're recruiting a five-star tackle, you expect him to be an anchor on your offensive line for at least two to three years. We'll have to wait and see if his performance in Indy was a side note on a good career or something more lasting.

Oklahoma Sooners projected to land 2027 4-Star Quarterback
The Oklahoma Sooners have their quarterback situation settled for the 2026 recruiting class after Bowe Bentley committed to OU last Friday. And it seems they may well be on their way to having the answer to their 2027 quarterback question. On Tuesday evening, Brandon Drumm of OUInsider and Rivals entered a Futurecast favoring the Oklahoma Sooners to land four-star quarterback prospect Peyton Houston. Houston, out of Louisiana, is considered the No. 1 quarterback in the class, according to ESPN. He's the No. 6 QB in the cycle per Rivals. It's the second prediction from the OUInsider crew favoring the Sooners. Drumm's Futurecast comes a year after Parker Thune, also of OUInsider and Rivals predicted Houston to the Sooners last year. Houston currently holds 26 Power Four offers, including 10 SEC offers at this point. It's clear he's one of the most sought-after passers in the class. He was in Norman for Oklahoma's Future Freaks weekend back in March and had a glowing review of the Sooners. "The atmosphere and the people in Oklahoma are what continue to bring me back," Houston told Sooners Wire back in March. "The players and coaches all seem to be in the same thought process and all have bought into the program." While there's a long way to go in Houston's recruitment, the Sooners have put themselves in a strong position to land the talented passer out of Louisiana. Another of those aspects happened on Tuesday with the reveal of the 25 Toughest Places to Play list, which saw some changes from this time a year ago. Where Wisconsin's Camp Randall ranks among EA Sports' toughest stadium environments
The release of EA Sports College Football 26 is rapidly approaching, meaning both player ratings and other statistical attributes are being announced. On that list are the game's toughest home stadium environments. For Badgers fans looking forward to the game's release, Wisconsin's Camp Randall Stadium slotted in as the 15th hardest venue to play in. Wisconsin's home stadium ranked just above South Carolina's Williams-Brice Stadium and Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium. Additionally, it ranked just behind Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, home of the Texas Longhorns and Doak S. Campbell Stadium, home of the Florida State Seminoles. Camp Randall also notably fell fifth among Big Ten home stadiums, falling just behind Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon and Michigan. While Wisconsin is just 7-7 at home in two years under Luke Fickell, the Camp Randall Stadium environment remains one of the best in the sport. That environment should be on full display when the Badgers host Ohio State, Iowa, Illinois, Washington and others this fall.
