Report: Utah F Keanu Dawes withdraws from transfer portal
Utah sophomore forward Keanu Dawes has withdrawn from the transfer portal, On3.com reported on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore forward averaged 8.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 18.6 minutes per game while shooting 61.4 percent from the field in 31 games (two starts) in his first season with the Utes (16-17, 8-12 Big 12).
Dawes collected a team-high 19 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as a starter in the Utes' last game, an 86-84 loss to Butler on Monday in the College Basketball Crown. He made a big impact late in the season with four double-doubles in the team's last six games.
He will be playing for Alex Jensen, who will take over as the Utes' head coach after completing the NBA season as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks. Josh Eilert has served as interim head coach since Craig Smith's firing in February.
Dawes was voted to the 2023-24 American Athletic Conference All-Freshman team in his lone season at Rice, where he averaged 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 32 games (23 starts).

Nick Chubb officially has a new home as the Houston Texans announced the signing of the free agent running back on Tuesday. According to The Athletic, Chubb agreed to a one-year deal with Houston worth at least $2.5 million and up to $5 million. No. 1 offensive tackle in 2026 cancels Oklahoma official visit The Oklahoma Sooners have received good news over the last few days in the 2026 recruiting class. But on Monday afternoon, their recruiting efforts took a bit of a hit with five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo. Ojo canceled his official visit, which was scheduled for the ChampU BBQ on June 20-22. Ojo told On3's Hunter Shelton, 'Not needed. Nearing my decision a lot sooner than later.' Ojo is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the class, according to 247Sports, and a consensus top-five tackle in the cycle. The Lake Ridge, Texas product has already taken visits to Colorado, Ole Miss, Florida, Ohio State, and Michigan. He's scheduled to be in Austin this coming weekend.
