Man held from IGI Airport for posing as a cop to impress women
The CISF intercepted the man, identified as Sahil Kumar from Rajasthan's Alwar district, around 3.30 pm during routine profiling. He was wearing a T-shirt with the Delhi Police logo and carrying a forged ID card, Additional Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport) Usha Rangnani said.
During questioning, Sahil failed to provide any credible details about his posting.
He later admitted he was a student preparing for competitive exams and had no government job.
He told police he had impersonated a 2024-batch Delhi Police SI to deceive multiple women, including staffers from the force, and had come to the airport to meet one of them.
One Delhi Police staffer confirmed he had contacted her on social media posing as a police officer. Police recovered a fake ID card, forged appointment letter, documents, and a mobile phone with photos of him in uniform. He claimed he created the documents using Photoshop and bought the uniform from Delhi's Camp area, Rangnani said. Further probe is on.

Five cops and three CISF men were spotted at the entrance gate, while two other CISF personnel were found checking the cards of patients' kin before allowing them entry to the emergency and trauma care unit. Around 3 am, the number of CISF and cops guarding the main gate swelled to 10, keeping a strict watch on the movement of people. 'Badi deewar gir gayi hai': Families recall Delhi wall collapse horror; 7 killed
NEW DELHI: Families in Delhi's Jaitpur woke up on Saturday to a nightmare they will never forget. "Some people were making roti, some were eating rice, and others were about to go to work when we heard the sound of the wall collapsing," said Ranjan, whose five family members, her parents, brother, and two young children, died in the tragedy. The Delhi Police received the first PCR call at 9.13am, reporting in Hindi, 'Badi deewar gir gayi hai' (a big wall has fallen). Heavy overnight rain had weakened a wall near Mohan Baba Mandir in the low-lying neighbourhood. Around 9am, it came crashing down on the jhuggis beside it, trapping eight people inside. Locals said the victims included two children, a woman, and several men, many of them migrant workers from West Bengal. "It fell on eight people, among them were two children, a woman, and several men. All were rushed to the hospital in serious condition," a resident said. Moina, a young girl from the area, said her father, a garbage collector, was among those pulled from the rubble. "I was sleeping when it happened. I didn't see anything," PTI quoted her saying. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, with the exact cause of the wall collapse still unclear. Officials suspect that waterlogging and soil weakening from the night's heavy rain may have contributed to the tragedy. "We will look into the structural condition of the wall, ownership, and any negligence involved. Statements of witnesses and survivors will be recorded," PTI quoted the officer saying. The sole survivor, 27-year-old Hasibul, remains under treatment.

Delhi man suspected of killing wife, two daughters; neighbours cite quarrels
In a tragic incident, a woman and her two minor daughters were found dead in their home in Delhi's Karawal Nagar on Saturday morning. Police said crime and forensic teams were brought to collect evidence and the bodies were sent to GTB Hospital for post-mortem examination.(Representational image) The Delhi Police said that information regarding the deaths was received at the Karawal Nagar police station at around 7.15am. Upon reaching the spot, police personnel discovered the bodies of a 28-year-old woman and her daughters, aged about seven and five years, in their room. 'Couple uses to fight regularly' A neighbour of the family, quoted by NDTV, said that the couple used to fight regularly. "We got to know about the incident today morning at 6 am. When we opened the door, we saw the mother and two daughters on their bed. The husband and wife used to fight regularly," the neighbour said.
