IIM-B-GoK FinTech training for young professionals announced

IIM Bangalore's digital learning arm IIMBx, launched a FinTech certificate programme for young professionals, an online offering designed to equip early-career professionals and students with both foundational and advanced knowledge of the rapidly evolving FinTech ecosystem.
The initiative forms part of the skilling and training pillar of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Fintech, established by the Department of Electronics, IT and BT, to nurture and accelerate the State's fintech landscape, according to the State government.
According to the State government, the programme is offered at a significantly subsidised fee, ensuring that high-quality, industry-relevant fintech education is accessible to a broader demographic of aspiring professionals.
The programme will be delivered in two tiers: a six-month foundation certificate, followed by a three-month advanced certificate, available upon successful completion of the first phase. Applications will be open from 11 August to 14 September, 2025, on the IIMBx platform: http://iimbx.iimb.ac.in/fintech.

Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in the fields of IFSC education, FinTech innovation, and research. GIFT City and GTU have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of which both institutions will jointly develop specialised courses, training programmes, certification modules, and a Centre of Excellence. Notably, GIFT City is touted to be India's maiden International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Through this partnership, both institutions will jointly develop specialised courses, training programmes, certification modules, and a dedicated Centre of Excellence focused on opportunities in GIFT IFSC and emerging trends in financial technology, a press statement informed. The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), through its digital learning initiative IIMBx, has announced a new FinTech Certificate Programme for early-career professionals and students.
