The Prince and Princess of Wales were reunited with the parents of Liz Hatton, a teenage photographer who died from cancer last year, after inviting them to a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Prince William and Kate met Liz in October when she was asked to photograph an investiture at Windsor Castle, along with her parents, Vicky and Aaron Robayna, and her younger brother, Mateo.
Liz, from Harrogate, who was diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of cancer, died several weeks later at the age of 17. She had ticked several items off her photography 'bucket list', including photoshoots for The Times.
Kate, 43, who has said that she is in remission from cancer following chemotherapy last year, embraced Liz's mother as

Michael Crawford, the actor known for playing Frank Spencer in the sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, has been honoured by Donald Trump. The US president named Crawford, 85, as a Kennedy Centre honouree on Thursday. The honourees will now be asked if they will accept the prize, which Mr Trump announced he will present to the winners in person. Announcing the British actor's nomination at the Kennedy Centre on Wednesday, Mr Trump said: 'He's one of the greatest talents I think I have ever actually seen. Among the greatest actors in the world are the London Broadway actors... all they want to do is be on the live stage. 'They are the most talented people, and this man might be the most [talented] of all, Michael Crawford is being honoured.' Mr Trump said he was 'there' for Crawford's 1967 Broadway debut in Peter Shaffer's Black Comedy, the president lauded him as 'very special' with 'unbelievable talents'.
