Intel Shares Lists Of Pak Citizens Present In Delhi
New Delhi: Delhi Police verified around 2,000 Pakistani visitors who were said to be present in the national capital and ensured that those without a long-term visa were on their way out, sources said on Monday. A majority of those present in Delhi left via Punjab and other borders by Monday evening.
A coordinated operation was run by the 'Pakistan cell' in the special branch and intelligence wing of Delhi Police, along with local police personnel in all districts of Delhi over the last two days. This action followed the revocation of visas for Pakistani nationals after a recent directive from the Centre, prompted by the Pahalgam attack. Intelligence agencies shared two lists of 3,000 and 2,000 Pakistani citizens potentially present in Delhi. There are various names overlapping in these lists, so each name is being verified individually and their status recorded.

Sources said that police replicated the process to expel people that they followed during their drive against Bangladeshis a few months ago. Elaborating on the measures, a senior officer said: "District DCPs received lists of Pakistani nationals residing in their areas, and teams were then dispatched to visit their residences, check their documents, and ask them to leave the country voluntarily. The SHOs were asked to ascertain the legal status of people in their jurisdiction and submit a report."
Around 50 Pakistani nationals were traced in central Delhi localities and 27 in the north. "Many of those who landed in Delhi were contacted, and they said that they went to other places like Bhopal, Mumbai, etc., to meet their relatives and acquaintances," said an inspector. The verification process was strict in areas of southeast Delhi, northeast Delhi, and north and central Delhi, officers said. Many visited the special branch office to inquire about their exit forms.
Sources said those who failed to leave voluntarily or did not have a long-term visa would be subject to deportation proceedings. "Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take swift action against those who do not comply with the orders. In addition, guest houses, lodges and hotels have been directed to submit detailed lists of Pakistani nationals staying at their establishments. This move is intended to ensure no individual escapes scrutiny by relocating to temporary accommodation," said a senior officer.
On Friday, MHA issued an order regarding the revocation of visas of Pak nationals except for medical, diplomatic, and long-term visas, with effect from April 27, 2025. The existing medical visas shall also stand invalid after April 29. Govt later clarified that long-term visas already granted to Hindu Pakistani nationals will remain valid.

Eatery owner receives 4cr extortion call
New Delhi: An eatery owner in Rohini received an extortion threat on Monday, with the caller demanding Rs 4 crore in the name of gangster Kaushal Chaudhary's gang. The businessman, who runs a popular Chole Bhature outlet, reportedly received a threatening phone call from an international number. The caller warned of dire consequences if the amount was not paid promptly, leaving the eatery owner in a state of fear and distress. According to police, the threatening call came around 4 pm, and the owner immediately took the matter seriously. Terrified by the threats, he contacted the police and filed a formal complaint at around 6 pm the same day. The businessman's prompt action led to Delhi Police launching an investigation into the case. Police are actively working to trace the origin of the call and identify those responsible for the extortion attempt. Kaushal Chaudhary, the gang's chief, was extradited from Dubai in 2019 and jailed in Haryana. Besides this gang, businessmen have also been receiving threats from other groups. Last month, a 49-year-old businessman from Najafgarh received an extortion demand of Rs 2 crore and death threats. The caller, claiming to be UK-based gangster Kapil Sangwan, alias Nandu, threatened to kill the businessman and his family if the demand wasn't met. In March, a businessman in city received an extortion call for Rs 5 crore purportedly from the Jaipal Bhullar group. Two weeks later, armed assailants opened fire at his house. In May, two men opened fire at a car showroom in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar, injuring at least four people.

‘Future generation won't forgive us': Paatil warns voters of Visavadar against voting for any party
Urging the voters to not 'repeat their mistakes', Union minister and Gujarat BJP president C R Paatil, on Monday, called upon the party workers and people of Visavadar assembly constituency to make the BJP candidate victorious otherwise the 'future generation won't forgive us'. Paatil made these remarks while campaigning for the by-election of Visavadar Assembly constituency of Saurashtra. The seat has fallen vacant following the resignation of AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani who later joined the BJP. Addressing a gathering of party workers in Visavadar constituency, Paatil said, 'This time there should not be any mistake. We have to look after the future generation as well. Future generation won't forgive us (saying) that 'you have made mistakes repeatedly'. Correct your (past) mistakes this time. Resolve to make BJP candidate Kirit Patel victorious this time to keep the voters of Visavadar and their future generation in front of the road of development.' Kirit Patel, a former Junagadh district president of BJP and a cooperative leader, is BJP candidate for the by-election. 'As decided by PM Modi, (the missile attack was carried out) five hours for the first time, two-and-a-half hours for second time and 30 minutes for the third time but within 23 minutes nine locations of the terrorists were attacked and finished and the terrorists were killed. Not a single soldier was harmed and everyone returned safely. This is Modi's power, this is India's power, everyone's power and the country wants to strengthen this power,' Paatil said. Appealing to the voters in Kadi to 'create a record' with high number of votes for Rajendra Chavda, Paatl said that for Kadi election the issue is not of development but 'to make BJP candidate win by a record number'. 'Today such an environment is created in the entire country after Operation Sindoor that every voter wants to strengthen Modi's hands. They were confident that Modi hai toh mumkin hai. During the surgical strike within three hours more than 300 terrorists were killed by our soldiers who returned safely,' Paatil added.
