Nashik cops arrest 3 Bangladeshis for illegal stay & document forgery
Nashik: Police arrested three Bangladesh nationals, including a couple from Pune, who were residing unlawfully in India. Additionally, the Nashik police arrested a 35-year-old loan executive from Nashik.
Following information received on June 8 about a Bangladeshi woman living with a man in Nashik, police commissioner Sandeep Karnik directed DCP (crime) Prashant Bacchav to look into the matter. A team was formed, and through technical analysis, they detained both the woman and the loan executive. During questioning, the woman confessed that she was Bangladeshi and had been staying in India illegally.
ACP (crime) Sandeep Mitke said the woman initially entered India unlawfully in 2017, assisted by her uncle, and settled in Ghansoli, Mumbai.
She connected with the loan executive through social media, developing a relationship. After returning to Bangladesh, she found out that she was pregnant. She delivered a girl in July 2018. She then re-entered India illegally and began cohabiting with the loan executive.
The woman travelled back to Bangladesh and returned to India in 2019 with valid documentation, but overstayed her visa period. After destroying her passport and visa, she went back to Bangladesh.

The loan executive visited Bangladesh in 2022, changed his name and religion, and married her. Subsequently, she re-entered India illegally and had been residing with him since.

Police filed charges under relevant sections of the BNS, the Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950, and the Foreigners Act, 1946, leading to the arrest of all four individuals.

New Delhi: A court acquitted 12 people accused of killing a youth during the 2020 riots in northeast Delhi, citing a lack of evidence and contradictions in the statements of witnesses. The court of additional sessions judge Pulastya Pramachala said on June 5 that the investigating agency failed to prove the charges of murder, rioting, criminal conspiracy to murder and destruction of evidence against the accused. 24-year-old dies in late-night crash on NH8, three critical
Gurgaon: A 24-year-old died and three of his friends are critical after the car they were travelling in rammed into a heavy vehicle on NH-8 in the early hours of Wednesday. The group was on its way to Delhi after attending a friend's wedding ceremony in Alwar, police said. Police said the accident took place near Mannat Hotel in Sidhrawali area of Gurgaon around 3.30am. According to cops, Neeraj Saini – one of the five youngsters in the group – was driving the Hyundai i20 at a high speed. Saini's friend Sumit, who hailed from Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur and was pursuing BA (Hons), was sitting in the passenger seat in the front. Three others -- Ramprasad, Arman Khan and Yuvraj – were in the back seat of the car. Cops said the car collided with the vehicle from behind. After the crash, Sumit was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Sector 10, where doctors declared him dead. The others were taken to Avise Hospital in Sector 38 and the trauma centre in Bilaspur.
