Mark Harmon has been keeping busy since his departure from NCIS in 2021 and has now landed a role in a project completely separate from the popular police procedural.
Mark Harmon, best known for his role as Agent Gibbs in NCIS, has been busy with a project entirely separate from the renowned police drama.

CBS fans were left heartbroken when Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Mark Harmon, bid farewell to NCIS in 2021.

Yet, it was a touching goodbye as Gibbs left his turbulent past behind to embrace a fresh start amidst Alaska's tranquil beauty.

Despite his exit, Harmon remains connected to the NCIS world through his contributions to the prequel, NCIS Origins, where he lends his voice and makes an appearance in the inaugural episode.
Alongside his work on the latest NCIS offshoot, the 73-year-old actor has been occupied reprising his role in another popular franchise.

The family comedy Freaky Friday, which premiered alongside NCIS in 2003, featured Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as a mother and daughter who unexpectedly swap bodies.
Harmon took on the role of Ryan, the soon-to-be spouse of Curtis' character Tess Coleman, much to the dismay of Lohan's character, teenager Anna Coleman.
Now, Curtis, Lohan, and Harmon are all gearing up to reunite for the sequel, Freakier Friday, with Harmon returning as Ryan, now Anna's stepfather.

In this sequel, Anna is now a mother herself with a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they try to navigate their evolving family dynamics, all three, along with Tess, find themselves in yet another body-swapping predicament.
In an intimate chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Harmon opened up about his reunion with Curtis, saying: "It's comfortable with Jamie and always has been. I've known her since she was 15 or 16.

"Obviously, it's a different story now, and yet I enjoy time with her.
"When you look at the long form of life, you're talking about moments with people and sharing them and being with people you liked being with.
"That's always been true about her for me, so I was pleased to do that."

First look at Jamie Lee Curtis' new movie has fans saying 'we need more films like this'

The first trailer for Ella McCay has dropped and fans are already obsessed with the film that also features Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Woody Harrelson, Rebecca Hall and Julie Kavner. The first trailer for Ella McCay, a fresh comedy drama featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, has just landed and viewers are already captivated, with one declaring that "we need more movies like this". ‌ Set in 2008, the film centres on Ella (Emma Mackey), a successful young politician juggling the peaks and valleys of her chaotic family dynamics alongside her blossoming career. ‌ Packed with A-list talent, Jamie and Emma are joined by an impressive ensemble including Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Woody Harrelson, Rebecca Hall and Julie Kavner. ‌ Fans were quick to voice their excitement online. One Reddit user posted: "It's nice to see a family drama airing in theaters. Don't see that much anymore," reports the Express. Another remarked: "I miss seeing in trailers when it runs through all of the actors and they're all laughing." ‌ A third chimed in: "This looks like the perfect movie to walk into without much planning ahead on a random date. I like the cast." Another viewer noted: "Haven't really seen Emma Mackey outside of Sex Education (besides her small role in Barbie) but really liked her in that show, so I'm interested in seeing her playing a different type of character." One enthusiast declared: "Yes. Always lovely when a trailer actually makes you laugh." Meanwhile another added: "We need more movies like this." ‌ The picture, scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 12, comes from the direction of James L Brooks, the Oscar-winning writer and director behind As Good as It Gets (1997) and Spanglish (2004). James is set to make a grand return to the director's chair with Ella McCay, his first film in over a decade since 2010's How Do You Know, featuring Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson. ‌ In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he shared: "I came from a family that wasn't roses and warm bread, and so I wanted it to be about one errant parent and getting over the loss of a parent. I never want to do anything that's not a comedy, and I always want to represent life." He also revealed the lengthy audition process that led to Emma landing the lead role, saying, "I was in an audition process for a long time. "I went to London, and very late in the game, she turned up, and that was it. In my mind, I pictured the kind of heroines that we had in the '50s and '60s, early Katharine Hepburn and Rosalind Russell. There's a certain kind of great movie star we used to have, and Emma has a lot of those same qualities." Ella McCay is set to hit the big screen on 12 December.

Wrexham owner makes Premier League comment for the first time as fan worries emerge

Wrexham owner makes Premier League comment for the first time as fan worries emerge Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has revealed that the club's ambitions go beyond just reaching the Premier League, as he shared the concerns some fans have raised Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds' ultimate goal is to help Wrexham lift the Premier League title (Image: Leon Bennett/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images) Rob McElhenney has unveiled an ambitious new target for Wrexham to clinch the Premier League title. ‌ The North Wales club have experienced remarkable success under the joint ownership of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator and fellow Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds. Following their acquisition by the duo in February 2021, Wrexham have been catapulted from the National League into the Championship after securing three consecutive promotions. ‌ The celebrity owners have made their intentions crystal clear from the outset - to guide the Red Dragons all the way to the top flight. McElhenney, who has recently applied to officially change his name to Rob Mac, has now disclosed that their aspirations extend beyond merely making up the numbers, with the ultimate prize being Premier League title glory. ‌ However, whilst the 48-year-old is keen to achieve that milestone at the earliest opportunity, he emphasised during an interview with S4C that progress must be built on solid foundations. When questioned about whether Premier League status remained within reach, McElhenney said: "That's the way the pyramid is set up and why not us? Why should that be reserved for other towns, for other cities? "It doesn't mean it's going to be easy and it doesn't mean that it's just going to happen quickly. It could take many, many years for it to happen. We're going to make a push to do it as quickly as possible, because we don't know any other way to do it, but we're going to do it the right way." Article continues below Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney wants to achieve success in step with the community's wishes (Image: S4C) Whilst many supporters might relish the possibility of challenging for the top flight, McElhenney revealed how some Wrexham fans had voiced reservations to him. He explained this stemmed from the potential consequences for their club, which has never competed in the Premier League, alongside insufficient supporting infrastructure. Wrexham's home stadium, the Racecourse Ground, is currently operating at a diminished capacity of approximately 10,000 this season as construction work on a new stand takes place. Additionally, the club remains without a permanent training base following the previous loss of ownership of their former facility at Colliers Park near Wrexham. ‌ "We're going to do it [reach the Premier League] in the same way that we've been doing it from day one, which is asking the town," McElhenney said. "I sort of jumped the gun early on and just assumed that that's what the people of the town wanted for their club, and that that wasn't necessarily the case. "I had a lot of very long conversations with people that said, 'Well, we might not be ready for that. The town might not be ready for that and the club might not be ready for that.' Article continues below "We have to make sure that we're always checking in with the community to make sure that this is what they want. It was a crazy pipe dream four or five years ago where we got laughed at by the media and by the world, but I don't think anybody's laughing anymore." He added: "We don't want to build something that's unsustainable. As glorious as it might be to be promoted to the Premier League, it would be equally as tragic to be relegated again, because that can very quickly create that spiral downwards. "Is the ultimate goal the Premier League? Yes, of course. Is it winning the Premier League? Yes, of course. But that actually isn't the number one goal. The number one goal is building something for the next generation and leaving something behind that is sustainable for the rest of its existence."
