Superdrug cuts 'divine' luxury perfume that 'lasts all day' to its cheapest price
We always love to find a good designer perfume deal. Let's face it, since they are luxurious in both scent and price, one bottle can be a hefty investment.
That's why we always check our favourite retailers for any new deals or discounts, and we have just spotted one popular fragrance hailed as "unreal" going for better than half price at Superdrug right now.
The health and beauty chain is currently offering Jimmy Choo Flash Eau de Parfum for its lowest price, with a 60ml bottle currently reduced from £58 to just £28.50, saving a total of 60 percent and almost £30.
This beats out competitors Boots and The Perfume Shop, where the same 60ml bottle costs £55, while Sephora UK stocks it for £31.11. Meanwhile, it's out of stock on Amazon, where it can often be found cheaper.
Launched in 2013, this Jimmy Choo perfume offers a "fruity" scent that is said to be ideal for wearing on a night out, as it represents "the perfect companion for the party girl in us all".

Product Description
Hailed as "intoxicating", it opens on notes of sparkly pink pepper, tangerine and strawberry, before introducing aromas of white flowers and tuberose. Ending on powdery woods, there's a reason reviews have lauded it as "unmistakable."
To round out the glitzy finishing touches, the perfume inside is contained within a unique bottle that is said to have been designed to mimic paparazzi flashes, adding to its overall party aesthetic.
For something similar in both smell and bottle, then Emporio Armani's Diamonds Eau de Parfum is currently on offer for half-price at Debenhams where a 100ml now costs £40, down from £80.
Boots is also offering quite a few unmissable deals on select designer fragrances, with the YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum (90ml) reduced from £130 to £78, offering a 40 percent saving.

Glasgow Cineworld closing date set as staff to be made redundant
The closing date of the world's tallest cinema on Glasgow's Renfrew Street has been set. The world's tallest cinema based in Glasgow will be shutting its doors next month. Employees at the Renfrew Street Cineworld were sent letters in July saying the cinema was 'likely to close' and the situation is out of Cineworld's control. In a recent decision from the landlord, the Renfrew Street cinema will officially close on September 28, reports Glasgow Live. In a letter sent to employees this week, staff were told that their roles were "at risk". Part of it reads: "Cineworld has received correspondence from the landlord of our Glasgow Renfrew Street Cinema advising that they are serving us notice to quit the building. "This therefore means that your roles will shortly be placed at risk of redundancy, as a result of this notice." During the letter, it states that employees will now enter a period of "consultation". It ends with: "I appreciate that today's announcement may be upsetting and your line manager or I will be available to support you throughout this process". A spokesperson for Cineworld confirmed the closure, however, said that their Silverburn cinema will undergo its most "ambitious transformation yet". A spokesperson said: "Following the landlord's recent decision, Cineworld Glasgow Renfrew Street will close on September 28, 2025. As we say goodbye to Renfrew Street, Cineworld Silverburn is undergoing its most ambitious transformation yet – with major investment bringing a 4DX screen and a full upgrade of every 2D auditorium to luxury recliner seating. "We can't wait for you to experience the new Cineworld Silverburn, for the most superior entertainment experience in Glasgow." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Boots announces two beauty advent calendars for 2025 – and the waitlists are open now
Even with the rise of dedicated shops like Sephora and Lookfantastic, every beauty obsessive has trodden the hallowed halls of the beauty aisles at Boots. Despite stiff competition, it remains a key retailer, and Boots' beauty advent calendars are no exception. That's right: this year, the high-street retailer has launched not one, but two Christmas countdowns: the 24 beauty stars luxury advent calendar (£150, and the 24 days of skin advent calendar (£70, There are already more than 15 beauty advent calendars on offer, and it's only August. While Boots is keeping some of the magic of Christmas alive with just a sneak peek at these new 24-day bundles, I can spy a few clues of what's to come. I predict Korean skincare, luxury Drunk Elephant moisturisers and more. Boots usually takes a more affordable approach to beauty advent calendars and, while high-end department stores like Liberty and Selfridges charge more than £250, Boots' 2025 calendar keeps things more accessibly aspirational with options at £70 and £150. Scroll on for everything I know so far, including full worth, a first look at the contents and how to join the waitlist. Boots 24 beauty stars luxury advent calendar: £150, The beauty stars calendar is Boots' main advent offering, with a whopping £600+ worth. The retailer is keeping the full 24 days secret for now, but after peering at the press shot, I've spied some gems. Included are Drunk Elephant's protini polypeptide cream (£21, Sol de Janeiro's 76 perfume mist (£24, the Laneige lip glowy balm (£17.50, and Iconic London's get cheeky face powder palette (£35, Interestingly, skincare obsessives will get their very own advent. If you have a penchant for fresh skin and make-up-free days, then you'll find what you're looking for in Boots' 24 days of skin offering. Again, the worth of this calendar exceeds four times the amount you'll pay and, in addition to the products above, I've spotted Round Lab's birch juice sunscreen (£18.90, and Anua's PDRN hyaluronic acid capsule serum (£18, as well as some impressive Korean skincare heroes.

Boots brings nostalgic budget-friendly brand known for their mascaras back
The high street beauty chain is adding hundreds of new products to their shelves in 2025, with three viral brands now available to shop in store and online While filling a cosmetics bag can prove pretty costly, particularly with everyone scrambling to try the latest viral sensations and new launches, there certainly seems to be a growing appetite for affordable makeup once again. And Boots is cementing its status as the go-to retailer for exactly that, with the launch of not one, but three budget-friendly brands both in store and online. With the rise of social media, there was a surge in shoppers opting for more luxury products and celebrity favourites. However, with the cost of living crisis and customers getting more savvy, shopping habits have shifted, with more beauty fans looking for high-performing products that don't drain the bank. This summer, the retailer has announced the launch of three of TikTok's most talked about brands - one of which will no doubt bring nostalgic joy for many after. It comes as the high street favourite is set to see more than 400 new cosmetics lines landing in the coming months. Harrods beauty advent calendar returns after fragrance one sold out in 48 hours 'I'm trying to cut down my alcohol intake and this 99p low-calorie drink converted me' Boots isn't the only retailer leaning into the budget-friendly beauty trend, either, as this week saw the launch of Trouble Maker into Superdrug. The bold new brand promises innovation at pocket-money friendly prices, with prices starting from £2. Meanwhile, Sephora's own brand Sephora Collection offers a range of cosmetics, skincare and more from £1.99, with more than 450 product lines to choose from. The three brands that have hit shelves at Boots this week are Catrice, an affordable German brand, alongside SheGlam making its UK debut, and the much-missed Essence will be returning to the high street, delighting customers who have been begging to see it make a comeback. After the closure of Wilko stores across the UK, Essence was like gold dust, but Boots is making it easier than ever to get your hands on. Known for Lash Princess mascaras and Juicy Bomb Shiny Glosses, the brand delivers ultra-affordable prices starting from £1.29. One product expected to be a hit is their Jelly Grip Hydrating Primer, which costs £3.99. If we had to liken it to a more expensive product, we'd say its tacky formula works in a similar way to Milk's Hydro Grip Primer, which retails at £35. Catrice is another name dominating TikTok right now, racking up over 26 million views in the past week alone. The clean, cruelty-free and vegan brand has been praised for products like the Aqua Splash Grip Primer and Under Eye Brightener, which have earned loyal followings for their quality and accessible price point. The Catrice range's most expensive product is £6.99 for their Soft Glam Filter Fluid, which has been likened to Charlotte Tilbury's £39 Flawless Filter. And available on the high street for the first time ever is SheGlam - a trend-led brand loved for its Pout-Perfect Lip Plumper and Colour Bloom Liquid Blush. Their products range from £2.99 to £8.50, proving shoppers no longer need to spend a small fortune on restocking their kit. Speaking on the latest launches, Alice Rafferty, Director of Luxury Beauty and Cosmetics at Boots said: 'Boots is proud to be bringing a growing lineup of socially native, trending beauty brands to the high street. Beauty lovers want to test, trial, and play before they buy, and now they can experience some of the most buzzworthy, viral brands in person at Boots stores nationwide. By staying closely tuned into emerging trends and listening to what our customers want to see on our shelves, we're continuing to elevate our beauty offering, making the latest social media sensations more accessible than ever.' The beauty boom doesn't stop there, though, with Boots also expanding the ranges of other social media-famous brands like Tirtir, the K-beauty label behind the viral Red Cushion Foundation, and Sacheu, known for innovative multi-use products. Sacheu is expanding its range to include more product lines for eye, cheek and lip, such as its Cheek STAY-N and Brow & Freckle STAY-N, which will launch in over 90 Boots stores. Meanwhile K-Beauty brand Tirtir, famed for its game-changing Red Cushion Foundation, will be available on the UK high street for the first time, launching in 30 Boots stores nationwide. Shoppers can test and trial its range of 23 foundation shades, alongside other new, viral-worthy products like the Glide and Hide Blurring Concealer and Waterism Glow Tint. Both brands launched at Boots earlier this year under its new accelerator programme, which identifies and rapidly brings the biggest viral and emerging new brands to the high street. As a result, if you've seen it buzzing on TikTok, there's a good chance it could be coming to the high street not too long after.
