Chicago Sky React to Angel Reese's Play With Kamilla Cardoso on Tuesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
In her one season and change in the WNBA, Angel Reese has established herself as an outstanding rebounder and defender. But she is slowly showing signs of becoming an offensive threat as well.

Her offensive game has, by and large, been icy so far in the pros. But on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Sparks, she went 6-of-12 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line, giving her 18 points. She also tallied 17 rebounds, six assists and four steals in a 97-86 win.
On one play in the first quarter, Reese showed her versatility by coming down in transition, driving the lane and dishing off the basketball to center Kamilla Cardoso for a layup. Cardoso was fouled and made the ensuing and-1 free throw as well.
The Sky reacted by posting a video of the play on their official X account.
"Skyscrapers starting us off 🏙️," the caption read.
Cardoso had a sensational game with 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting, making her the leading scorer for both teams, plus seven rebounds and two blocks.

Like Reese, she was one of the WNBA's top rookies last season after a strong senior year of college at South Carolina, where she won the women's NCAA championship, the Most Outstanding Player award and WBCA Defensive Player of the Year honors.

She was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by Chicago, four picks before Chicago took Reese out of LSU.
Reese, of course, led LSU to the national title in 2023 over Caitlin Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes.
