Abhishek Kumar's rise to prominence in the TV industry is inspiring, but his journey hasn't been without challenges. Recently, the Udaariyaan actor bravely opened up about his struggling days in the industry, revealing a horrifying experience of being inappropriately touched. Abhishek explained how this traumatic incident left him shattered, and he quickly decided to return to his hometown.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Abhishek Kumar revealed, 'Voh kareeb 6 months mei aaya tha. Toh mere sath ek incident ho gaya, Gay tha koi jo touchy touchy sa ho gaya tha. (He came approximately after 6 months. So, one incident happened to me. A gay person became touchy-touchy.)"
Later, the Bigg Boss 17 contestant was asked if this happened on the first day itself, to which Abhishek replied, '1.5-2 mahine ke baad. Toh mai darr gaya tha. Kuch aisa hua nahi tha. Usne aisa try kiya ki 'Tuje aisa karna padega, tabhi tu aage badh sakta hai'. Maine ye suna tha filmo mai aisa hota hai, interviews mai. Maine kaha real mai toh nahi hota hoga. (It happened after 1.5-2 months. So I got scared. Nothing happened. He tried and said, 'You will have to do it then only you can go ahead' I had heard in interviews that it happens in the industry. I thought it wouldn't happen in real)."
Furthermore, he also recalled lying to his family. 'Mai darr gaya tha maine kaha ye kya ho rha hai. Maine ghar pe nahi bataya tha mai Mumbai mei hu. Maine kaha tha mei Delhi mei training kar rha hu, (I was scared, wondering what was happening. I didn't tell my family I was in Mumbai; I told them I was in Delhi for training)," he added.
Abhishek mentioned that he reached out to his mother, who asked him to return home. The actor continued, 'Maine agle din ki train ki ticket li general ki. Aur mei general mai baitha hu, rota rota vapis ghar jaa rha hu (I booked a general train ticket for the next day and sat in the general compartment, returning home in tears)."
The actor noted that after this incident, he lost the will to pursue his acting dreams and returned home, taking up a job that paid Rs 7,000 per month.
On the work front, Abhishek Kumar has been keeping busy ever since exiting the Bigg Boss house. Currently seen in Laughter Chefs 2, he also participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, hosted by Rohit Shetty.

The Karnataka government has imposed new restrictions on activities in Bengaluru's iconic Cubbon Park to curb its commercialisation and misuse. A Horticulture Department official said the violators would face fines of up to Rs 500 and repeat offenders legal action. The fines will go into the Suvarna Karnataka Udyana Pratishtana Fund, he added. From limits on the maximum number of attendees to a prohibition on the use of specific foods and toys, here's what's allowed and what's not in Cubbon Park. What's Not Allowed In Cubbon Park? Pre-wedding and post-wedding shoots, baby shoots, modelling sessions, short film shoots, and making reels. Packed snacks, plastic bottles, carry bags, and pooja materials. Birthday parties, press meets, classes like yoga, cycling, and skating, and religious events (only to be held with prior permission). Not more than 20 readers or writers can gather at once. A 15-acre section, starting from the gazebo near the BSNL entrance, going across the canal bridge and up to the High Court parking lot, can be used for non-commercial activities such as reading, painting, yoga, and meditation. You need prior permission if the gathering is of more than 20 people. Fireworks, alcohol, drugs, smoking, urinating, spitting, littering, and consumption of food parcels are banned inside the park. Parking outside of authorised areas, honking car horns, playing on lawns, climbing or destroying trees, plucking flowers, flying kites and displaying banners. Housefull 5, the newest chapter in the popular comedy franchise, has just completed its first week at the box office. The film, starring Akshay Kumar, has collected Rs 179 crore gross worldwide in seven days. In India, it has earned Rs 113.25 crore net, translating to Rs 136 crore gross. Internationally, the movie has grossed USD 5 million, or Rs 43 crore gross, to its tally. While these numbers are decent, the film's trend raises concerns. Its massive budget and the need to hit Rs 275 crore gross worldwide for breakeven add pressure. The film opened well over the weekend. Fans of the franchise turned up in good numbers, though the weekend footfalls were slightly lower than the previous Housefull films. Internationally, Housefull 5 performed even better, drawing crowds in markets like the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Gulf countries. The star-studded cast, also including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and others, gave the movie a solid push. However, the weekdays are telling a different story. Monday and Tuesday saw a decent hold, but collections started to dip noticeably by Wednesday. The last two days of the week were particularly tough, with the film struggling to maintain momentum. This downward trend is a red flag. For a big-budget film like Housefull 5, a steady run is crucial. The movie needs to bounce back strongly in its second weekend to stay on track.
