Even CM post is not far if Nishads vote unitedly: Sahani
Patna: Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) president Mukesh Sahani on Thursday claimed that not only the deputy CM post but even the CM's chair is not impossible for him if the 10% Nishads in Bihar vote unitedly.
He was addressing the party workers in Bhojpur. Mukesh said the VIP won four seats in the last assembly elections and they made him a minister. "BJP hatched a conspiracy as they thought Mukesh Sahani can win 40 seats tomorrow and 125 next and he will become CM. So, they bought my party's four MLAs," he alleged.
"We have the target to win 40 seats in the coming election," Mukesh said and asked the party workers to start preparations in Barhara and Ara Sadar assembly constituencies in Bhojpur to contest in the coming elections.
Earlier, at a press conference on Wednesday, Sahani said the Grand Alliance will contest the coming assembly election under the leadership of RJD's Tejashwi Prsad Yadav and himself. He went to the extent of saying that the RJD-VIP needed Congress backing in Bihar as the grand old party will need their support in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
His comments drew sharp reactions from not only the NDA netas but of Congress as well.

Congress state media cell chairman Rajesh Rathorre evaded a direct reply but said only the decisions taken by the INDI Alliance coordination committee in Bihar are acceptable.
While JD(U) spokesman Abhishek Jha said Congress and the Left parties should decide now as Sahani was claiming No. 2 spot in the alliance, BJP state spokesperson Prabhakar Kumar Mishra said, "This is like he is distributing invitation cards for 'Chhathiyaari' (a child's birth celebration) when there is no date fixed even for marriage yet. The person who had a fish party with Tejashwi in a helicopter during Navaratra is calling himself a contender for the post of deputy CM.
"
He said there was a long queue of people in the Grand Alliance for the CM candidate. "Now another queue is also being formed for the candidature for the post of deputy CM," he said.

Even Pak did it: Congress reiterates demand for Parliament session on Op Sindoor
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday reiterated his party's demand for a special session of Parliament to discuss Operation Sindoor and the terror attack in Pahalgam. Addressing reporters, Kharge said that the Centre should take a cue from Pakistan, which has convened its Parliament and held deliberations on the developments, and show similar seriousness in addressing the said that the entire nation stands with the armed forces and called for unity on issues concerning national security. He urged all political leaders to exercise restraint and avoid politicising military a veiled swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress President said, "We must know when to speak what. There should be unity in national matters and a focus on defeating our opponents. All leaders across the country should remain silent regarding matters of national security. It's better to understand what has happened before speaking about it. There should be no election campaign before the delegation reports are out. PM Modi should refrain from giving election speeches. There is no need for self-praise. The entire nation stands with our armed forces." He further questioned the Prime Minister's public remarks on the military operation, noting that the PM had earlier stated he had given full authority to the armed forces. "Why is he speaking again now? The Prime Minister should not make self-glorifying speeches. We have said, let's convene Parliament and talk. Even Pakistan has convened its Parliament and is holding discussions. None of us will speak against the nation," Kharge remarks came a day after he accused the BJP-led government of misleading the nation over Operation Sindoor. In a post on social media, the Congress chief alleged that instead of offering clarity on US President Donald Trump taking credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Modi was "on an election blitz, taking personal credit for the valour of the armed forces".He also referred to the interview given by India's Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, in Singapore, saying that the revelations raised important questions about defence preparedness."In the wake of the remarks made by the CDS in Singapore in an interview, there are some very important questions which need to be asked. These can only be asked if a Special Session of the Parliament is immediately convened. The Modi Government has misled the nation. The fog of war is now clearing," Kharge Chauhan, who was in Singapore for the Shangri-La Dialogue, admitted in an interview with Bloomberg for the first time that an unspecified number of Indian fighter jets were downed during the recent hostilities with India's Operation Sindoor, which was launched after the Pahalgam attacks, Pakistan had claimed that it had downed six Indian fighter jets, a claim India had previously Chauhan categorically rejected Pakistan's assertion that it had shot down six Indian jets, including four Rafales, calling it 'absolutely incorrect'."What is important is that, not the jet being down, but why they were being down... Why they were down, what mistakes were made - that are important. Numbers are not important," General Chauhan to the comments, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Defence MInister Rajanth Singh should have informed the political parties about the losses before a military official revealed them InMust Watch

HYDERABAD Senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former minister T. Harish Rao has condemned the comments of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud that he (Harish) had met BJP MP Eatala Rajender and termed them as 'cheap'. In a statement, Mr. Rao said the TPCC chief was playing such cheap politics unable to take on him directly and by doing so he was treading the unethical path of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy by indulging in mudslinging on political opponents. He made it clear that except for coming across in weddings or funerals he had never met any leader of other parties or those who left BRS. 'I always practice politics with values unlike your cheap tactics for political mileage', he said and suggested Mr. Goud to stop such allegations and act in tune with his (Goud's) status and also focus on fulfilling six guarantees and 420 promises made at the time of elections. Separately, BRS MLC and former Speaker of the Assembly S. Madhusudana Chary condemned the misinformation campaign of the rival parties against BRS that it was planning to merge with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Chandrababu Naidu and developed Telangana as a model State. However, the rival parties were conspiring to weaken BRS, unknowing that the party has the backing of Telangana masses despite its defeat in the elections. On the internal political development of BRS he said he was aware of all and any decision would be taken by party chief KCR. As part of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Telangana Bhavan, Mr. Harish Rao would give a powerpoint presentation on the Kaleshwaram project on June 2.

'Using cheap language against CM': TMC hits out at Amit Shah on remarks against Mamata Banerjee
NEW DELHI: Trinamool Congress MP Sagarika Ghose on Sunday sharply criticised Union home minister Amit Shah for his remarks on CM Mamata Banerjee during his two-day visit to West Bengal. Addressing a press conference, Ghose condemned Shah's comments against Mamata, saying his language resembled that of a " BJP worker, not a home minister of India." "At a time when the All Indian Trinamool Congress is standing firmly with the Government of India, when our national general secretary is abroad on MPs delegation, speaking strongly for the Government of India, speaking against Pakistan-based terrorism; at this time, none other than the home minister comes to Bengal and acts like a BJP worker and uses cheap language against our respected CM, Mamata Banerjee,' Ghose said. Further continuing her jab, she claimed, "Amit Shah's politics is all about divide and rule." — PTI_News (@PTI_News) Ghose's remarks came in response to Amit Shah's speech in Kolkata, where he accused Mamata Banerjee of turning West Bengal into a state of "infiltration, atrocities on women, bomb blasts and immorality with Hindus" since taking office. Shah also alleged that 'hundreds of BJP workers' were killed during her tenure and predicted that the BJP would unseat the TMC government in the 2026 assembly elections. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like CFD: Invertir $100 con IA podría devolverte un segundo salario Digital Group Prueba ahora Undo "For years, Bengal was ruled by communists.
