Watch awkward moment The Chase's Mark Labbett falls asleep AND makes huge blunder on Celebs Go Dating date

CELEBS Go Dating fans were left gobsmacked this evening as Mark Labbett made a series of blunders on his date. The Chase star - best known as The Beast - was paired with a fellow quiz lover Natalie but in toe-curling scenes the dinner went from bad to worse. 4 4 4 Struggling to stay awake, Mark could be seen yawning in the woman's face throughout and at one point even closed his eyes and appeared to be sleeping. Clearly exhausted, the 6ft 6in brainbox then picked up a tea light and tried to drink from it, believing it was his drink. When he realised, he exclaimed: 'Oh that's not a drink', leaving Natalie giggly awkwardly. He moaned after: 'That was so embarrassing. I'm trying my best for Natalie, but she's not getting the best out of me. Sorry love.' Shortly after he admitted defeat - saying he was too tired and needed to go to bed. Mark, who was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017, did previously tell us that one date ended prematurely during filming after he had a hypoglycemia episode, but it is unclear if it was the same date. Hypoglycemia, also known as low blood sugar, is a condition where the glucose level in your blood drops too low. Speaking at the time, Mark said: "The hardest part of the process was the long filming and unfortunately for me I'm diabetic and I wear a glucose monitor and my glucose levels went off the scale and I had a full hypoglycemia episode and I might have got a little bit grumpy. "Afterwards I did apologise to everyone. "It overran by so much and I hadn't had my pills and the right food. EXCL The Chase's Mark Labbett reveals he was forced to quit date after shock health scare "I got it back down to normal very quickly once I had a walk and plenty of water, it went right back down. "I've realised now if I do another reality TV show, I'm going to have to build into the contract siesta breaks, I like my naps." Those watching at home couldn't believe what they were watching, with one person exclaiming: 'Never been as uncomfortable watching a date on tv as i'am watching the beasts.' A second said: 'How that woman hasn't got up and walked from the date with Mark I don't know.' 4 While a third wrote: 'The Beast's first date has me both laughing and cringing in equal measures.' Mark, who turned 60 on Friday, signed up for the dating show after his split from TV presenter Hayley Palmer, 44. Mark met Hayley after he split from his wife Katie, 31 — with whom he has a seven-year-old son — in 2020. He said: 'I'll admit, I'm not the most clued-up person when it comes to relationships. "So I listened to the experts who were very good.' he will however meet his match on the show, and has started dating 5ft 2in Deanne Perkins, 57, after they 'instantly connected'. Mark Labbett and Hayley Palmer relationship timeline May 16, 2023 - The pair went on their first date to a Toby Carvery in Southsea, Portsmouth. Naomi Ackie: ‘After Whitney, I never wanted to play a real person again'

'I keep saying it's a sweet film but it is about murder,' Naomi Ackie says with a flash of mischievousness. The actress is describing her role in the keenly anticipated adaptation of Richard Osman's bestseller The Thursday Murder Club. Ackie plays Donna de Freitas, the sceptical police officer from London, and says it was 'cool' to work with her co-stars Celia Imrie and Helen Mirren: 'I grew up watching them — and they are still so enthusiastic. I never dreamt that they'd be calling me Nay.' The Thursday Murder Club will bring Ackie, 33, to a fresh audience. It's the first British comedy she has been in, although her CV is impressively varied. Since her breakthrough as the maid in Lady Macbeth with Florence Pugh in 2016, Ackie has worked with some of the starriest names in film and television — including Daisy Ridley, JJ Abrams and co in 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Steve McQueen in his Small Axe anthology and the director Bong Joon Ho and Robert Pattinson in Mickey 17. ('If we were out and I heard a tornado of screaming fans I realised it was because Rob had got out of the car.') Her biggest role to date is Whitney Houston in the 2022 biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody. It was this film (more on this later) that changed how she sees her career and meant that last year she made both the warm comedy The Thursday Murder Club and the more offbeat American indie film Sorry, Baby.

Cruiserweight Jake Paul and lightweight Gervonta Davis announce they will fight on Nov. 14

YouTuber-turned-cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul and undefeated WBA lightweight champion Gervonta 'Tank' Davis have agreed to fight on Nov. 14 at Atlanta 's State Farm Arena. Paul's promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, and Netflix announced the highly unusual matchup Wednesday. Netflix will stream the fight worldwide to its more than 300 million subscribers. The 30-year-old Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs), a three-division world champion, would be the first star near his ostensible prime to face Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), the online celebrity who has become one of the world's highest-paid combat sports athletes despite never fighting an elite boxer. Netflix and Nakisa Bidarian, Paul's business partner, did not refer to the fight as an exhibition, but it's unclear how Georgia officials would allow the matchup to be held as a competitive bout, given the fighters' dramatic difference in size and experience. Paul typically weighs more than 200 pounds in the ring, while Davis is a 135-pound champion who has never fought above 140 pounds. The fighters did not announce a contracted weight or the number of rounds in their planned bout. The fight would mark a return to Netflix for the 28-year-old Paul, whose victory last November over the then-58-year-old Mike Tyson drew an estimated 108 million viewers globally. After Paul beat a tepid Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by decision earlier this summer, he entered the World Boxing Association's cruiserweight rankings at No. 14, making him eligible to fight for world titles. Instead of pursuing a cruiserweight belt, Paul recently discussed a fight with two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua — a more logical opponent in terms of size and strength — but shifted his focus to the popular Davis. who has jousted with Paul on social media for years. Perhaps Paul can look inside his own family for a plan: His older brother, Logan, weighed 189 pounds before fighting Floyd Mayweather at 155 pounds in an eight-round exhibition bout in 2021. Promoters said the spectacle sold more than 1 million pay-per-view buys and made more than $80 million. Davis has been billed by his promoters as 'the modern day Mike Tyson" because of the frequency with which he has won by knockout, but his career and life have been rocky in 2025. He struggled to a shocking draw against Lamont Roach Jr. in his most recent ring outing in March, and he was arrested on a domestic violence charge in Florida last month before the misdemeanor battery case was dropped last week. Bidarian said Paul and Davis are 'favorites of the Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences,' and that their bout will 'determine the true face of boxing's next generation.' 'This isn't just a fight, it's a spectacle that brings together two of the most electrifying figures in boxing today,' Netflix vice president Brandon Riegg said. ___
