The Price of Our Favorite Portable Projector Just Plummeted by 30% at Amazon

Yahoo03-03-2025
If you're looking to change up the way you watch TV shows and movies, then getting a good portable projector is a great way to do it. There are a lot of options out there but our top pick, the Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air, checks a whole lot of boxes. And as well as being an excellent projector, it's also a stellar deal right now with 30% off its usual price at Amazon, dropping it down to a record-low price of $420.
The Mars 3 Air offers a 1080p HD resoultion, has 400 lumens of brightness and built-in speakers that offer solid sound. Color and contrast is good for the price, and it's got Google TV streaming built in, which makes it easy to get to content you want to watch. There's also a HDMI port for connecting a game console or other streaming device.
Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.
The Mars 3 Air can manage up to 2 and a half hours of playback on a full charge, though you can connect it to an outlet while using it. That's great news if you're watching a shorter film, but keep that in mind if you're trying to watch The Lord of the Rings or something.
Our reviewer, Geoffrey Morrison, said that, "Despite a loss of a few lumens, the Mars 3 Air is a solid upgrade over the Mars II Pro. It's easier to use and looks a little better while keeping the great size of its predecessor." He didn't love the price, but that's one of the things that gets fixed when you buy it with a big discount.
This is the best portable projector we've tested, and while the price is its weakest point, lowering that by 30% makes the whole thing far better value. This is the lowest price the Nebula Mars 3 Air has ever been, making now the time to grab it if you've been on the fence.

Netflix's Content Strength Drives Engagement: What's the Path Forward?

Netflix's NFLX content strength continues to fuel robust viewer engagement, a trend that is central to its growth strategy. In the second quarter of 2025, Squid Game Season 3 alone drew in approximately 122 million views, reinforcing the company's reputation for producing high-impact content that attracts and retains subscribers. Hits like Sirens, Ginny & Georgia Season 3, The Eternaut, and films such as STRAW and Exterritorial also boosted total watch hours, underscoring Netflix's consistent content ahead, Netflix's pipeline for the rest of 2025 and beyond is designed to sustain this momentum. August brings Wednesday Season 2 with fresh twists, while reality hits like Love Is Blind, Selling Sunset and Squid Game: The Challenge will keep unscripted engagement into the fourth quarter. High-profile originals include Billionaires' Bunker from Money Heist creator Álex Pina, thriller Black Rabbit starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law, House of Guinness from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, and Mexican drama Las Muertas. Upcoming films span genres and star power, from French Lover with Lupin's Omar Sy to Kathryn Bigelow's A House of Dynamite and Guillermo del Toro's robust lineup is bolstered by Netflix's 'local for local' strategy, which pairs global reach with regional storytelling, supported by major investments like its €1 billion commitment to Spanish programming through growing ad-supported tier, a high-margin, engagement-driven revenue source, along with favorable foreign exchange gains, has boosted international sales and fueled investor optimism. Reflecting this confidence, the company lifted its 2025 revenue forecast to $44.8-$45.2 billion. Amazon & Disney: Streaming Giants Challenging Netflix Amazon AMZN leverages its vast ecosystem to add value to Prime Video with benefits like super-fast delivery. Amazon's push into original and international content fueled a 10% year-over-year rise in subscription sales to $11.5 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Strengthened by its delivery network and streaming scale, Amazon is also expanding its ad business, securing $1.8 billion in commitments and targeting $3.5-$4 billion in revenues by a core part of Disney DIS, Disney+ benefits from its growing global reach and strong content portfolio, driving robust user growth. Bundling Disney+ with Hulu and Max keeps customers engaged while offering cost savings. Disney is focusing on stable, profitable growth rather than aggressive expansion. However, higher spending on new content will increase programming and production costs, which could put pressure on near-term earnings for the entertainment division. Don't Overlook These Chinese Tech Stocks as Q2 Earnings Approach: NTES, VIPS

Set to report their Q2 results on Thursday, August 14, NetEase NTES and Vipshop VIPS are two top-rated Chinese tech firms that investors will want to pay attention to this week. Benefitting from vibrant business industries, NetEase's growth is very appealing as a developer of gaming applications and internet content services in China, with Vipshop making a strong case for being undervalued as one of China's leading online discount retailers. NetEase's Growth & Generous Dividend At the moment, NetEase's Internet-Software and Services Industry is in the top 34% of over 240 Zacks industries. NetEase is benefiting from its dominant niche in online gaming, expanding its reach internationally through collaborations with global franchises like Marvel and The Lord of the Rings. Having a diverse portfolio of games, including Battle Royale and Fantasy Westward Journey, online advertising is also a significant boost to NetEase's operations, with the company's diversification extending to investments in education tech, music streaming, and e-commerce as well. Zacks' projections call for NetEase's Q2 sales to be up 10% to $3.86 billion, with quarterly earnings expected to spike 23% to $2.04 per share compared to EPS of $1.66 in the prior year quarter. Bolstering an 'A' Zacks Style Scores grade for Growth, NetEase stock has been one of the market's better performers this year, sitting on gains of more than +45% to impressively top the broader indexes. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Appealing top and bottom line growth projections for fiscal 2025 and FY26 have led to the surge in NTSE, and NetEase's 2.09% annual dividend yield has caught the attention of income investors. Notably, NetEase has increased its dividend nine times in the last five years for an annualized growth rate of 42.19%. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Vipshop's Enticing Valuation Often overlooked for other Chinese e-commerce stocks like Alibaba BABA and JD, Vipshop has carved out quite the niche of its own as it relates to a wide selection of discounted apparel, cosmetics, and home goods, among other lifestyle products. Year to date, Vipshop's stock is up a very respectable +17% and could still have an abundance of upside at around $15 a share. To that point, Vipshop's Zacks Internet-Delivery Services Industry is currently in the top 13% of all Zacks industries. Most intriguing, Vipshop's Q2 EPS is expected to be up 4% to $0.56, with VIPS shares trading at just 6.4X forward earnings, an intriguing discount to Alibaba's 13.8X and 12.5X. While Vipshop's Q2 sales are slated to dip 3% to $3.59 billion, VIPS has a forward P/S ratio of less than 1X. Checking an 'A' Style Scores grade for Value, it's also noteworthy that VIPS is trading near its cheapest forward P/E valuation in the last decade, offering a nice discount to its median of 13.6X during this period. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Reassuringly, Vipshop's total sales are projected to rebound and rise back to over $15 billion by FY26. Plus, Vipshop's annual earnings are expected to rise 4% this year to new peaks of $2.39 per share. Even better, FY26 EPS is projected to spike another 9%. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Bottom Line Ahead of their Q2 reports, NetEase and Vipshop are two tech standouts that investors shouldn't overlook. If they can reach or exceed Q2 expectations, it wouldn't be surprising if their pleasant stock performances continued this year, with NTES sporting a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) and VIPS boasting a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).
