It's back 'into the blue again' for David Byrne.
Just days after releasing a Saorise Ronan-starring 'Psycho Killer' music video and surprising the Governors Ball crowd in red overalls midway through Olivia Rodrigo's scorching cover of 'Burning Down The House,' the former Talking Heads frontman announced his first album and solo tour in seven years.
Starting in September, the 73-year-old Rock Hall of Famer will hit venues all over North America on his 'Who Is The Sky? Tour,' which is named after his new album due out Sept. 5 and features contributions from St. Vincent, Paramore's Hayley Williams, The Smile's drummer Tom Skinner, Ghost Train Orchestra and producer Kid Harpoon.

While out and about, Byrne has six (!) stops in New York planned.
Up first, he'll bring his latest record — his ninth solo studio offering — to Schenectady's Proctors Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 21. After that, the man who made oversized suits cool drops into Syracuse's Landmark Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 23 and Buffalo's Shea's Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Sept. 25.
Finally, the Grammy winner closes his NY run with three shows at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 30, Wednesday, Oct. 1 and Friday, Oct. 10.
At all shows, he'll be joined by a 13-member backing band made up of musicians, singers and dancers, some of whom were part of his 'American Utopia' ensemble. Per usual, all 'will be mobile throughout the set.'

'I suspected that intimate orchestral arrangements would bring out the emotion I sense is there in these songs [from the forthcoming album],' Byrne said. 'It's something that folks don't always hear in my work, but this time for sure I thought it was there.'
Fans Byrners can purchase tickets for all upcoming North American David Byrne shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the 'Who Is The Sky? Tour' is Friday, June 13.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

David Byrne new music
On Sept. 5, Byrne is scheduled to drop his ninth solo album 'Who Is The Sky?'
Ahead of the record's release, he unveiled the lead single 'Everybody Laughs.' Clocking in at almost four minutes, the track is a joyous, almost tropical tune. Complete with Byrne's trademark staccato vocals and Ghost Train Orchestra's jaunty strings that are a bit reminiscent of George Michael's 'Freedom,' the song fits squarely in Byrne's canon.
To hear for yourself, you can find 'Everybody Laughs' here.
For an even closer look, here's the track list for 'Who Is The Sky.'
01.) 'Everybody Laughs'
02.) 'When We Are Singing'
03.) 'My Apartment Is My Friend'
04.) 'A Door Called No'
05.) 'What Is the Reason for It?' (feat. Hayley Williams)
06.) 'I Met the Buddha at a Downtown Party'
07.) 'Don't Be Like That'
08.) 'The Avant Garde'
09.) 'Moisturizing Thing'
10.) 'I'm an Outsider'
11.) 'She Explains Things to Me'

Upcoming nWo book brings fresh look at legendary faction through pop culture lens

The nWo, one of the most discussed and well-documented subjects in pro wrestling history, is getting a fresh perspective. Marc Raimondi, the former New York Post writer and current Falcons beat reporter for ESPN, is taking at look at WCW's famed faction through a pop culture lens in his upcoming book 'Say Hello to the Bad Guys: How Professional Wrestling's New World Order Changed America,' which is available for pre-order and in stores June 24. Raimondi, who has been a close friend for more than 20 years, delivers one of the most in-depth, easy-to-follow and well-reported accounts of how nWo worked by reflecting on the cultural shifts during that time in our country's history — feeding off and then feeding into pop culture — and ultimately failed. The book is written almost like it's made for TV, with little cliffhangers here and there. The cover of 'Say Hello to the Bad Guys: How Professional Wrestling's New World Order Changed America.' In the book, he compares Crow Sting's popularity in the context of someone a castout youngster of the '90s could relate to, like Kurt Cobain and Marilyn Manson, as he rebels against the high school bullies of the nWo within the story.

Sabrina Carpenter announced a new album. How much are tickets to see her live?

Vivid Seats is the New York Post's official ticketing partner. We may receive revenue from this partnership for sharing this content and/or when you make a purchase. Featured pricing is subject to change. Sabrina Carpenter has taken a page from Taylor Swift's playbook. Like the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' hitmaker, Carpenter has a.) extended her multi-year tour and b.) announced a surprise mid-trek album. For Swift, she dropped 'The Tortured Poets Department' during the international leg of the 'Eras Tour.' Carpenter is doing the same with 'Man's Best Friend,' due out Aug. 29. Advertisement While we wait for more bread crumbs from the record before its release, fans can obsess over the Jack Antonoff-produced single 'Manchild.' For our money, the bouncy, synth-country bop captures the lightning in a bottle magic on display in her two breakout 2024 smashes 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please.' A little over a month after 'Man's Best Friend' hits shelves, the 26-year-old kicks off the second leg of her 'Short n' Sweet Tour' with special guests Olivia Dean, Amber Mark and Ravyn Lenae joining her on select dates. That run includes a whopping five (!) shows at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Oct. 26, Tuesday, Oct. 28, Wednesday, Oct. 29, Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1. And, given that Carpenter is back in the news — it looks like she may be the most talked-about artist for the second summer in a row — we're curious how much tickets cost to see the pint-sized pop star. Advertisement Based on our findings, at the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for any one North American non-festival concert was $244 including fees on Vivid Seats. Other shows have tickets starting anywhere from $253 to $369 including fees. For more information, our team has everything you need to know and more about Sabrina Carpenter's 2025 'Short n' Sweet Tour' below. All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation. Sabrina Carpenter 2025 festival appearances Before 'Short n' Sweet' launches, the former 'Girl Meets World' starlet has a number of festival headlining spots lined up as you may have noticed above. 'Espresso' Sabrina Carpenter new music Advertisement Carpenter unveiled 'Manchild' on June 5, 2025. The lively 3.5-minute tune begins with a light laugh and what sounds like an off-the-cuff spoken 'oh, boy' before launching into the simultaneously earthy and artificial sound that backs Carpenter's gorgeous voice. As you may have guessed, the ditty tells the story of a man that isn't quite mature enough for her as evidenced by cutting lyrics like 'Man-child/Why you always come a-running to me?/F— my life/Won't you let an innocent woman be?' To hear for yourself, you can groove along to the pointed yet buoyant banger here. Sabrina Carpenter special guests Advertisement At all shows, Carpenter will be joined by an opening act or two. To make sure you're familiar with their sound(s), here's each artist's most-streamed song on Spotify below. Olivia Dean: 'Dive' Ravyn Lenae: 'Skin Tight' (feat. Yes announces 2025 ‘Fragile Tour,' two NY shows. Get tickets today

Vivid Seats is the New York Post's official ticketing partner. We may receive revenue from this partnership for sharing this content and/or when you make a purchase. Featured pricing is subject to change. In November 1971, Yes released their fourth studio album 'Fragile' in the U.K. The nine-track record yielded a pair of iconic singles in 'Roundabout' and 'Long Distance Runaround,' obscure gems like 'We Have Heaven' and 'South Side of the Sky' and the prog-rock masterpiece 'Heart of the Sunrise.' Now, 54 short years later, Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood, Jon Davison and Jay Schellen are taking the timeless collection of songs (and a few other classics) on the road. While out and 'Roundabout,' the Rock Hall of Famers will make four New York and New Jersey stops. First, they'll jam at Morristown, NJ's Mayo Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Oct. 2. After that, the legendary quintet hit Atlantic City's Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Saturday, Oct. 4, Port Chester, NY's Capitol Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 5 and Huntington, NY's Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 7. 'All the band's albums had a unique feel and approach,' Howe said via Instagram. 'It's fairly 'odd-ball,' but…it gave us confidence, further than our own in-stock belief, we'd crafted this unusual but noticeable musical twist to rock and what later became prog.' Astute fans may have noticed that a pair of key Yes members aren't part of this tour; that's because both lead singer Jon Anderson and keyboardist Rick Wakeman are conducting solo tours of their own this year. Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Yes shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the 'Fragile Tour' is Friday, June 13. Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand. They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event. Yes tour schedule 2025 A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below. Jon Anderson 2025 tour As noted above, Anderson is striking out on his own this year. He's playing venues all over the U.S. with his band, who are aptly named The Band Geeks. They'll be in Ocean City on July 7. To find out where else they'll be, click here to see all Jon Anderson 2025 tour dates. Rick Wakeman 2025 tour The 76-year-old keyboardist and composer has shows lined up from July through October including gigs in Ocean City (July 21), Englewood (July 23) and Poughkeepsie (July 30-31). Curious if he's coming to your neck of the woods? Find Rick Wakeman's complete 2025 tour calendar here. 'Fragile' track listing In case you need a refresher, here are the nine tracks that make up the indispensable 40.5-minute record. Side I 01.) 'Roundabout' 02.) 'Cans and Brahms' (instrumental) 03.) 'We Have Heaven' 04.) South Side of the Sky' Side II 01.) 'Five per Cent for Nothing' 02.) 'Long Distance Runaround' 03.) 'The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)' 04.) 'Mood for a Day' (instrumental) 05.) 'Heart of the Sunrise' Yes band members According to Yes' official tour announcement on Instagram, the band will be made up of Steve Howe (guitars, vocals), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (vocals, acoustic guitar), Billy Sherwood (bass guitar, vocals), and Jay Schellen (drums). Schellen replaces long-time drummer Alan White who passed away in 2022. Roger Dean 'Fragile' was the band's first album designed by Roger Dean. According to the group's Instagram, the iconic artist would go on to 'design many of YES' future album covers, the band's logo, and live stage sets. This striking union of music and design is key in how YES' sound and vision would be perceived; it also underlined how important artistic visuals were becoming in the rock world.' To celebrate his work, the group is slated to shred 'in front of a video wall featuring AI treatment of Dean's art, bringing YES' art into the 2020s.' His timeless work will also be available for purchase at all shows. To keep up with what he's working on these days, you can follow Dean on Instagram here.
