Reportedly, Arjit Taneja, Riya Sharma and Twinkle Arora have been finalised to replace the previous stars. In a fresh update, Jyoti Mukerji has also joined the cast to play a pivotal role after the leap.
As per the reports, Jyoti Mukerji will be playing Arjit's mother post the much-anticipated generation leap. FYI, Jyoti, throughout the years, has worked in more than 20 television shows including Gharana, Kitty Party, Mulk, Santaan, Aandhi, Asha Ki Kiran and Prratima. She made her small-screen debut with Anurag Basu's show Manzilein Apni Apni.
Directed by Shaibal Banerjee and Sujit Pyne, Jhanak first aired on TV in 2023. It is reportedly a loose adaptation of the Bengali series Jol Nupur which aired on Star Jalsha. Produced under Magic Moments Motion Pictures, the popular daily soap revolves around Jhanak, a young woman who is forced into a marriage with her cousin Arshi's fiancé, Aniruddh, to avoid an obsessive stalker after her mother's death.
Ever since its premiere, the show has continued to win audiences over and performed well on TRP charts thanks to its gripping storytelling and on-screen chemistry between the leads, Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab. A video shared by the actor also saw him and Hiba cutting a farewell cake.
Earlier in a chat with Zoom, Hiba Nawab shared her first reaction after learning about the big leap in Jhanak. She said, '20 to 25 days ago, the makers informed us about the leap. I won't look like a 50-year-old, and I don't want to do that. They didn't even ask me (laughs). And ya, it (leap) is happening."
Extending her heartfelt wishes to the new star cast, Hiba added, 'I won't say I am leaving the show but there is a leap. There will be a new cast coming in. There will be a new Jhanak coming in. I wish them all (the new star cast) the very best. I gave a lot to this show for a year and a half. I want everyone to continue showering love on Jhanak and like its new cast."
Meanwhile, Arjit Taneja, Riya Sharma and Twinkle Arora are expected to commence shooting soon. However, the makers have yet to make an official announcement.

Actress Kajal Pisal, who plays Tanuja, in the TV show Jhanak talks about role of women, in managing environment management on World Environment Day celebrated annually on June 5. The day encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Says Kajal, "Every woman plays a vital role in environment management by managing household waste, promoting sustainable practices, and influencing family and community behaviour. They are key to reducing waste, conserving resources, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within their households." She adds, "They are directly involved in managing household waste, including sorting, recycling, and composting. Proper waste segregation, separating organic waste from recyclables, and composting food scraps are crucial steps in reducing waste sent to landfills." According to her, "Wasting food isn't just a humanitarian or social issue - it's also an environmental one." She says, "The food cycle doesn't just end at our trash can. Food waste that ends up in landfills and rots produces a large amount of methane – a more powerful greenhouse gas than even CO2. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade gold CFDs with a trusted broker | Open an account today IC Markets Learn More Undo The food wasted in landfills is responsible for roughly 8 percent of global emissions. Additionally, when we throw away food, we're also wasting the time, resources, and energy that went into creating the food initially. I feel every small step from home brings a huge change. I feel its our duty to address such issues. We need to educate more and more people about the same so that we can protect our environment."
