Amit brings over two decades of experience in shaping India's digital commerce landscape. Most recently, as Founder & CEO of Solv, he built one of the country's leading B2B commerce platforms, serving over 400,000 MSMEs and achieving $650M in GMV and $24M in ARR, all on a capital efficient, zero inventory model. Under his leadership, Solv fostered a high trust, performance driven culture with best-in-class team engagement and leadership scores.
Prior to that, Amit played critical roles in shaping the country's digital journey, from helping Flipkart scale into a $15B enterprise, to leading rapid expansion at Reliance Retail, and building Ezmall from the ground up. His work has consistently focused on unlocking access, opportunity, and scale for businesses and consumers alike.

3rd gen takes legacy of agri innovation ahead
Lucknow: Amit Verma , a third-generation farmer from Lakhimpur Kheri who continues the family legacy of agricultural innovation, has been scripting a success story with his 18-acre farm having over 1000 varieties of mangoes, as well as other fruits and trees. Amit's story of three-generational farming, which emphasizes profitable agricultural practices, was recently presented at an event. A post-graduate, Amit manages the family's farm which includes over 1,000 varieties of mangoes and other fruits. Recent additions include 500 Amrapali mango saplings, planted under the Yogi govt's high-density horticulture scheme. He supports the state govt's agricultural initiatives, specifically the subsidized on-grid connected agricultural pump solarization scheme and drip irrigation system. His grandfather, Shyam Lal Verma, received recognition from India's first President, Rajendra Prasad, for his work in traditional agriculture. Shyam Lal later shifted his focus to horticulture. His son, Suresh Chandra Verma, despite having a law degree, chose farming and was recognized as Lakhimpur Kheri's 'best horticulturist' in 2005 for his contribution to agricultural diversification.

Sterlite Technologies collaborates with Hygenco for Maharashtra's first green hydrogen plant for optical fibre
Sterlite Technologies Ltd . (STL) has collaborated with Hygenco for Maharashtra's first green hydrogen and green oxygen production facility for optical fibre , the company announced on Thursday. The planned green hydrogen and green oxygen project, centred in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar , Maharashtra, will supply green gases to STL's glass preform facility. With this collaboration in sustainable manufacturing , Sterlite Tech is set to become one of the world's first optical fibre manufacturers to deploy 100 per cent green hydrogen in its production processes. The move aims to support the company's goal to achieve Net Zero by 2030. The collaborator Hygenco will build, own and operate the green hydrogen manufacturing facility, ensuring a reliable and commercially viable supply for 20 years. "By leveraging 100 per cent green hydrogen for its glass preform manufacturing, STL is setting a new global benchmark for decarbonization in the optical fibre industry. Our collaboration with Hygenco exemplifies our commitment towards sustainability and operational excellence," Rahul Puri, CEO - Optical Networking Business, STL said on the successful commissioning of the green hydrogen plant. With its collaboration with Hygenco, STL aims to reduce carbon emissions by ~30 per cent annually. "Green Hydrogen has the potential to be a game-changer in India's journey towards sustainability.
