Unreleased Beyoncé music stolen from rental car amid Cowboy Carter tour

Two men who identified themselves as a choreographer and a dancer for Beyoncé told police in Atlanta that hard drives containing unreleased music, concert set lists and footage plans for shows were stolen from their rental SUV last week during a stop on the singer's Cowboy Carter tour, authorities said.
The men, Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue, told officers that they parked their rented 2024 Jeep Wagoneer for about an hour in a parking garage at the Krog Street Market on July 8, according to a police report.
Someone broke the vehicle's rear window while it was unattended and made off with two suitcases that the men said had their belongings in them, police said.
'Mr Grant also advised that he was carrying some personal, sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,' according to the police report, which the Atlanta Police Department posted on its website Monday.
According to the report, the stolen items included a set of hard drives, which had some unreleased music on them; set lists for past and future concerts; and footage plans for one of the singer's upcoming shows. The hard drives also contained watermarked music, a digital identifier used by recording artists for copyright purposes and to prevent piracy. A 13-inch MacBook Air was also reported stolen.

It was not immediately clear whether the hard drives had been stored inside the two suitcases. A value of $1, which appeared to be a placeholder, was assigned in the police report to each of the stolen hard drives.
Two officers dusted the vehicle for fingerprints, which yielded two very light prints, according to investigators, who said that security cameras had recorded the break-in.
A pair of AirPods Max headphones, which were stolen and can be tracked via GPS, led officers to a person described in the report as suspicious.

Katy Perry nearly plummets from floating butterfly as giant prop malfunctions during San Francisco show

First Beyoncé, now Katy Perry. The 'Part of Me' singer was in San Francisco on Friday night performing as part of her Lifetimes Tour, when a giant butterfly prop she was riding malfunctioned as it hung suspended over the crowd. As seen in several video clips shared by audience members on social media, Perry was in the midst of performing her 2013 hit 'Roar' at the Chase Centre when the prop — on which Perry was rigged — jerked and dropped suddenly. Perry immediately stopped singing and managed to regain her balance and composure, at first looking up at the contraption that connected the butterfly to cables above. As the prop swung, Perry soon began performing the song again. The near-mishap is at least the second such incident at a major tour this summer, after a flying car prop featured in Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour tilted midair during a concert in Houston last month. The singer was quickly lowered down and without injury, according to Beyoncé's entertainment and management company at the time.

Unreleased Beyonce music stolen during US tour

Unreleased music by Beyonce along with footage, show plans and concert set lists have been stolen from a car in Atlanta rented by the singer's choreographer and one of her dancers, police say. The theft of the materials, stored on five thumb drives, happened on July 8, two days before Beyonce began a four-day residency at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Atlanta Police Department said it secured an arrest warrant for a suspect whose identity was withheld. Two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, as well as luxury clothing and accessories were also reported stolen, according to the incident report. Beyonce's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue told police they parked their rental car, a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, at a food hall in the city. The pair returned to the car an hour later to discover the trunk window had been damaged and two suitcases had been taken. Grant told officers "he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyonce," the police report stated. The report identifies a possible suspect vehicle as a 2025 red Hyundai Elantra. Responding officers were able to identify "light prints" at the scene, and security cameras in the parking lot captured the incident, according to the report. Officers canvassed an area where the stolen laptop and headphones were tracked by using the devices' location services, the report said. Beyonce kicked off her highly-anticipated tour in late April, taking her Grammy-winning album, Cowboy Carter, to stadiums in the US and Europe. The pop superstar will end her tour with two Las Vegas nights in late July. Unreleased Beyonce songs 'stolen from rental car' during Cowboy Carter tour

Unreleased Beyonce songs and other sensitive documents have allegedly been stolen from a rental car. Last week - less than 48 hours before the Crazy In Love hitmaker started her four-night residency at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta during her ongoing Cowboy Carter tour - thieves allegedly broke into a rental car which had been hired by the singer's choreographer, and one of her dancers. As detailed by The Hollywood Reporter, an incident report alleges that the theft occurred on July 8, with the suspect taking hard drives containing "water marked music, some un-released music, footage plans for the show and past and future set lists". Choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue are said to have told authorities that they parked up at a parking deck just after 8pm. When they returned to the vehicle an hour later, it's alleged someone had broken into the car through the boot, and taken two suitcases. As well as the hard drives, it's said the thieves also took clothes, MacBooks and AirPods Max headphones, which belonged to members of her team. As reported by Atlanta's ABC station WSB-TV, police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect. The Atlanta Police Department told the outlet in a statement: "Preliminary investigation revealed a Jeep Wagoneer was broken into at the location and two suitcases had been stolen. "Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department's Larceny from Auto Unit led the investigation and have subsequently secured an arrest warrant for a suspect." Officers dusted the rental car for prints, finding two sets, while footage was caught on a security camera. The incident report obtained by The Hollywood Reporter noted that officers were able to track the location of the AirPods and laptops using the Find My feature on Apple devices. The locations were redacted in the documents, but it's said officers carried out a "suspicious person stop" in the area flagged by the AirPods. Beyonce and her team are yet to comment on the incident.
