Viewers love his chaotic style and surprising depth. With a raw spirit and a surprisingly caring heart under all that bravado, Inosuke 'lights up every scene' he's in.
An unlikely upbringing
Inosuke's backstory is as wild as he is. The
Demon Slayer
manga reveals that he was born into tragedy: his human mother, escaping abuse, threw her infant son into a river to save him before she died. Miraculously, a mother boar rescued the baby. Inosuke was raised by that boar and its herd deep in the mountains, learning to survive with the instincts of a wild animal.
This explains why Inosuke 'always wears his signature boar's head' and behaves more like an animal than a boy. Living alone in the woods for years—until a kind old man finally taught him a few words—gave him incredible endurance and confidence. These early years among the beasts formed the foundation of his fierce skills and wild outlook.
Beast Breathing – Combat style and powers
Inosuke's fighting style matches his upbringing. He wields two jagged Nichirin swords and fights with a self-taught Beast Breathing technique.
Unlike other Demon Slayer styles that flow like water or blaze like fire, Beast Breathing is raw and animalistic. Each move is meant to mimic claws and fangs – quick slashes and brutal lunges that catch enemies off guard. The manga even notes that Inosuke invented this style himself after years in the wild. His acute senses and agility (born of a life in the forest) let him make split-second decisions in battle. Inosuke's attacks often feel unpredictable and feral, as if a boar or tiger is fighting through him.

A feral friend to the end

Inosuke starts off as a very blunt, hot-headed young slayer. He's famously short-tempered and socially awkward, not understanding polite human manners. He jumps into fights, shouts that he's the strongest, and even argues with Tanjiro and Zenitsu at first. But as the story progresses, Inosuke's hard shell softens. Traveling with Tanjiro's group teaches him friendship and empathy. He slowly learns that teamwork can be powerful: as one analysis puts it,
'as he joins forces with Tanjiro and Zenitsu… he gradually learns the value of teamwork and camaraderie'
.
He even becomes more aware of his own feelings. Where he once grunted and charged into danger, later he shows genuine concern for his friends (and even falls in love a little with fellow slayer Aoi). By the end of the manga, Inosuke is still wild and energetic, but he's also loyal, brave, and surprisingly affectionate toward his companions.
Team dynamics – Tanjiro's roughneck ally
Inosuke is one of Tanjiro's closest allies on the demon-fighting journey. In the fight against evil,
Times of India
notes, 'Tanjiro and his allies, including
Zenitsu Agatsuma
and Inosuke Hashibira, face off against deadly demons'.
Inosuke's presence adds a wild card to the team. He often squabbles with Zenitsu (teasing the timid slayer, which leads to comic moments) and bickers with Tanjiro over who is boss. Yet he deeply respects them. He never harms Nezuko – Tanjiro's demon sister – once he realizes she protects Tanjiro, showing Inosuke can look past fearsome appearances. Inosuke's fierce fighting spirit complements Tanjiro's kindness and Zenitsu's lightning speed.
In their final battles, all three slayers rely on each other's strengths. Inosuke learns that even a lone wolf needs a pack.
Wildly loved – A fan favorite

Fans cherish Inosuke because he's unlike any other Demon Slayer character. His wild personality, absurd antics and big heart leave a lasting impression. As one fan site observes,
'with his boar mask and feral personality, Inosuke lights up every scene he's in and makes viewers laugh'
5. Viewers compile endless clips of his funniest moments (like mispronouncing names or charging headlong into danger) and his bravest moments (standing by his friends no matter what).
But fans also love that he's not just comic relief – moments of vulnerability (like crying after Zenitsu praises him) have shown how much he cares underneath the tough exterior. Inosuke stands out in the
Demon Slayer
manga and anime because he combines animalistic energy with genuine growth, making him a unique and beloved hero in the series.

CM Yogi leads Janmashtami rituals at Gorakhnath

Gorakhpur : The sacred festival of Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with traditional fervour and devotion at the Gorakhnath Temple in the presence of Chief Minister and Gorakshapeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath . Arriving from Lucknow late on Saturday night, the CM led the midnight rituals marking the divine appearance of Lord Krishna. At the temple, the CM first paid homage at Guru Gorakhnath's shrine and bowed before the samadhi of his spiritual guru, Mahant Avaidyanath. The festivities began with soulful bhajans at the Mahant Digvijayanath Smriti auditorium, where children dressed as Radha and Krishna added a colourful and festive charm to the atmosphere. The CM interacted warmly with them, showering affection, sharing light-hearted moments, and presenting toys and chocolates. As the clock struck midnight, the temple premises echoed with the sounds of conch shells, bells, and devotional chants. CM Yogi carried the idol of infant Krishna from the sanctum sanctorum and placed him in a floral cradle. He then performed the ceremonial jhulan (swing ritual), followed by the traditional aarti and the joyous singing of 'Nand Ghar Anand Bhayo' and other hymns. The event witnessed the participation of prominent personalities, including Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan, MP Vijay Dubey, BJP MLC Dharmendra Singh, and saints from Ayodhya and Varanasi. Thousands of devotees thronged the temple, offering prayers and witnessing the rituals. Competitions in Krishna–Radha attire drew enthusiastic participation, with prizes awarded to children across different categories. A devotional evening of bhajans, led by noted folk singer Rakesh Srivastava and his troupe, captivated the gathering with traditional renditions of sohar and other folk hymns, adding to the spiritual fervour of the occasion. During the celebration at the temple, MP Ravi Kishan sang bhajans and broke into an impromptu dance during the evening programme. Aakhri Vasant: Poignant portrait of evening of life

1 2 Lucknow: Emotional crisis of an abandoned elderly couple was portrayed delicately in Darpan group's play 'Aakhri Vasant' staged at the Central Drug Research Institute. The performance resonated deeply with the audience, as the play created pathos and showed how new bonds formed in the most unlikely situations. The elderly couple's only son is settled in Canada after marrying a woman of that nation. While the mother maintains occasional phone contact with her son and daughter-in-law, the father is estranged with the son who refuses to speak with him. The atmosphere in the household is of silence and longing until an unexpected twist disrupts the monotony. A fugitive dacoit breaks into their home and secures shelter at gunpoint. The situation takes another dramatic turn when the son calls on his birthday, sharing that his wife is pregnant and that they would soon be visiting home. On arrival, the son and his wife are surprised to find the dacoit working as a servant in the home. When police arrive looking for the criminal, the couple hide him, claiming their servant is out in the market. The climax comprises a touching moment in which the son confesses that he is not their real child, but a hired actor from an organisation that provides companionship to elderly parents abandoned by their children. His contract period is over and he must leave. This revelation stirs the dacoit, leading him to call the police and surrender. Anil Rastogi who played a central role in the play said, "This play shows that in today's world, you can even hire children who act like your own. A play is only meaningful when the audience truly connects with it." Chitra Mohan, Vansh Srivastava, Alka Vivek, Vikas Srivastava and Sanjay Deglurkar also acted.
