"This Was A McNapping": Ronald McDonald Statue Stolen In Broad Daylight In US
According to surveillance footage released by the Nesquehoning Police Department, the young suspects were seen carrying the iconic smiling redhead in his bright-yellow uniform. The suspects escaped the scene in a black car without a readable licence plate.
"Ronald McDonald is missing! Yesterday, a few unidentified suspects waltzed into McDonald's and walked out with Ronald McDonald himself. We're not clowning around. This was a full-blown McNapping," wrote the Nesquehoning Police Department in a social media post.
"Ronald was last seen smiling, as usual, unaware of the betrayal. Witnesses say he didn't even put up a fight."
Police urged the public to keep an eye out for Ronald and call if they have any tips about the suspect.
"To the suspects: "We get it, times are tough, and therapy is expensive. But kidnapping a plastic icon of joy? That's a McFelony. To the public: If you see Ronald out in the wild, maybe at a party, passenger seat of a car, or sitting awkwardly in someone's yard, please call us," the police said.
"In all seriousness, we are looking to identify these individuals. Please contact the Nesquehoning Police Department if you have any information. Thank you."

Social media reacts
A section of social media users had a humorous response to the post by the Nesquehoning Police, while others questioned what the management at the store was doing at the time of the robbery.
"This was clearly a distraction for a much larger McHeist. I'm sure orchestrated by the Hamburgler! He really sent in his "A" crew," wrote one user, while another added: "How did the workers not notice someone walking out with it first of all. But look at the clowns who even thought it was cool to do it."
A third commented: "I don't remember this episode of Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald. Grimace, the Hamburglar and their chicken McNuggets at it again. McShame on them."

‘She Is A Bully': McDonald's Worker Ranted Online Before ‘Stabbing' Manager 15 Times
Last Updated: Afeni Muhammad allegedly attacked her manager, Jennifer 'Jamma' Harris, after being sent home due to work performance issues. A tragic incident unfolded at a McDonald's outlet in Eastpointe, Michigan, on Thursday, July 10, where a 26-year-old employee allegedly stabbed her manager following an argument. The manager later succumbed to her injuries. According to a report by the Daily Mail, the accused, Afeni Muhammad, attacked her manager, Jennifer 'Jamma" Harris, after being sent home due to work performance issues. Muhammad allegedly stabbed Harris at least 15 times inside the restaurant, located in the Detroit area. Police said Harris had sent Muhammad home on Thursday morning after a disagreement. As per witness accounts cited in the report, Muhammad told Harris, 'I'll be back," before stepping out and heading to her car. She then returned to the restaurant wearing a mask and armed with a kitchen knife. The violent assault was witnessed by a drive-thru customer who, in an attempt to stop the attack, fired a shot into the air. Though no one was injured by the bullet, the customer managed to detain Muhammad as she tried to flee the scene. The Eastpointe Police Department later arrived and placed her under arrest. As per the report, the incident came just a day after Muhammad had posted a video on Instagram where she accused Harris of mistreatment at work. In the footage, Muhammad expressed her anger about being sent home early two days in a row and voiced her frustration with her supervisor. 'I got sent home early yesterday. I got sent home early today by the same person," she said in the reel. 'I'm telling you, she's a bully. This sh** isn't funny… She needs to understand that just because she's a mother and got children, that doesn't mean she can come in the store disrespecting people, talking like everybody is beneath her. She has no respect and it isn't funny at all," she added. "> Muhammad, who goes by the name Risen Phoenix on social media, continued the video with more accusations against Harris. 'Like, seriously, man, I got sh** I need to take care of and she keeps sending me home early… she's playing games," she said. In the video, Muhammad further alleged Harris of 'playing racial sh**, spreading negative energy and gossiping about people. That sh** gonna have to stop." She also added, 'Then she tells me I am snapping at people. No, no, no, that's false, I don't snap at people. I don't go doing that. No, I make peace. I've been creating peace." Jennifer Harris, 30, who had worked at McDonald's for 15 years, was a single mother of six. Following the attack, she was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries. As per the reports, Muhammad was arraigned in court the following day. She is charged with first-degree murder and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent. The court set her bond at $25 million. Her attorney stated that she is a high school graduate currently enrolled in online classes for physical therapy. 'There are disturbing facts in this matter, but other facts have not been brought out yet," the lawyer told the court, The Detroit News reported. Prosecutors also revealed that Muhammad had a prior conviction related to another stabbing incident that occurred in a different state. McDonald's franchise owner Yusef Alcodray issued a statement expressing grief over the incident. 'We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident, and our hearts go out to the victim's family and loved ones. The violence of any kind is unacceptable in my restaurants, and we are taking this matter extremely seriously, as the safety and well-being of our employees and customers is our top priority," the statement read. The restaurant has been closed and will remain shut until further notice as authorities continue their investigation. view comments Location : Delhi, India, India First Published: July 14, 2025, 16:42 IST News business 'She Is A Bully': McDonald's Worker Ranted Online Before 'Stabbing' Manager 15 Times Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. US McDonald's manager stabbed 15 times by co-worker two days after social media rant: What happened
In a chilling case that has sparked outrage and debate in the US, a 26-year-old woman is accused of fatally stabbing her McDonald's manager just two days after posting an angry video about her on Instagram, CBS News reported. The incident took place on Thursday, July 10, at a McDonald's outlet in Eastpointe, Michigan, where 39-year-old Jennifer Harris, a shift manager and mother of six, was brutally attacked at work. According to police and prosecutors, the accused, Afeni Muhammad, had been involved in an argument with Harris earlier that day, which resulted in her being sent home early. Muhammad allegedly returned later, wearing a mask and carrying a knife over 3 inches long, and stabbed Harris up to 15 times in the presence of stunned employees and customers. What makes the case even more disturbing is that two days before the attack, Muhammad had posted a video online in which she appeared to vent her frustration about Harris, calling her a 'bully' and warning, 'somebody about to do something about that.' 'I got sent home early yesterday,' she says in the video. 'I got sent home early today by the same person. I'm telling you, she's a bully… So she can keep being a bully if she wants to, but that s*** is gonna catch up to her.' According to police, a customer waiting in the drive-thru witnessed the stabbing and attempted to intervene by firing a warning shot to stop the assault. No one was hit. The customer then chased down Muhammad and detained her until police arrived. 'The suspect stopped stabbing the victim. She dropped the knife and started running away. The good Samaritan actually showed courage,' said Eastpointe Police Detective Lt. Alexander Holish. Jennifer Harris was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Harris's family, devastated by the loss, described her as a hard-working and compassionate woman. 'She was good to everybody, even good to her,' Harris's daughter, Antonia Griffin, told CBS News. 'I don't understand why she had to kill her.' Afeni Muhammad has been arraigned on charges of first-degree murder, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent, and habitual offender – second offence. Her bond has been set at $25 million. The local McDonald's outlet remains closed as police continue their investigation. The franchise owner, Yusef Alcodray, said the team is fully cooperating with authorities and stressed that the safety of employees and customers remains their top priority. 'We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident. Violence of any kind is unacceptable in my restaurants,' he said in a statement.

McDonalds worker arraigned in fatal stabbing of manager at Detroit-area restaurant
EASTPOINTE, Mich. (AP) — A 26-year-old woman has been arraigned in the fatal stabbing of her manager after being told to leave early from her shift following an argument at a Detroit-area McDonald's restaurant. Afeni Badu Muhammad was arraigned Friday on first-degree premeditated murder and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, the Macomb County prosecutor's office said in a release. After being told to leave the Eastpointe restaurant Thursday morning, a masked Muhammad allegedly returned and entered through the employee entrance, according to the prosecutor's office. Eastpointe is just northeast of Detroit. Jennifer Harris, 39, was stabbed multiple times. A customer at the McDonald's drive-thru window fired a gun in an effort to stop the attack on Harris, followed Muhammad as she fled to a vehicle and held her at gunpoint until police arrived. The customer was legally allowed to carry a concealed weapon. 'This is an absolutely senseless and heartbreaking tragedy,' Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. 'A life was taken in an act of unimaginable violence. The victim leaves behind six children, six young lives that will now grow up without a parent.' Muhammad, of Eastpointe, was being held in the Macomb County Jail on a $25 million bond. A not guilty plea was entered by a judge at Friday's arraignment, according to court records. 'There are a lot of things that need to come to light regarding this matter,' Muhammad's arraignment attorney Matthew Licata told The Associated Press. Muhammad has a probable cause conference on July 23 and a preliminary examination on July 30.
