Billy Bob Thornton says Demi Moore 'didnt remember' they worked together before reuniting for Landman
The Television Academy in North Hollywood hosted a buzzworthy FYC event for 'Landman' earlier this month. The TV drama created by Taylor Sheridan exploded on Paramount in November 2024, becoming the platform's biggest premiere in two years. Starring Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, 'Landman' dives deep into the gritty, high-stakes world of the Texas oil industry, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Boomtown podcast, as per the outlet.
The ensemble cast included John Hamm, Andy Garcia, Jacob Lofland, and Ali Larter. 'Landman' is quickly becoming a cornerstone of Sheridan's storytelling legacy.
Thornton revealed more about his multifaceted character, Tommy Norris, during a recent event for the program. He also discussed navigating Hollywood on his own terms, shared that Moore worked with her before reuniting for 'Landman' but she didn't remember it.
When the moderator, Stacey Wilson Hunt, asked Moore how she met Thornton, the 62-year-old actress acknowledged to being reminded by her co-star.
"She didn't remember me," Thornton revealed.
The two first met while working together on the 1993 drama directed by Adrian Lyne. However, Thornton played a small part in the film, so the two became more acquainted years later, reported People.
"We got to know each other because I did three movies with Bruce [Willis]," he added. "And you brought the kids to set all the time. So over the years we've known each other."
Thornton and Bruce Willis' first film together was Armageddon in 1998. Since then, the duo has starred in Bandits (2001) and The Astronaut Farmer (2006).
Moore married Willis in 1987, but they ended up divorcing in 2000. The pair share three daughters together, although Willis went on to welcome two more with his current wife and model, Emma Heming.
'Landman' was primarily shot in the Fort Worth area of Texas, a location familiar to Sheridan. He's used the region as a backdrop for several of his other series as well, including 1883, Yellowstone, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves, reported People. (ANI)

Actor Sarah Jessica Parker, widely recognized for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City universe, has responded to the mixed reactions surrounding the reboot And Just Like That, and has a message for all the people who love to 'hate-watch' the show. Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis were seen in the reboot, And Just Like That. Sarah Jessica Parker responds to the hate During an interview with New York Times, Sarah, who has played Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City franchise for the past 27 years, responded to viewers who love to hate-watch the series' latest reboot, And Just Like That. The series ended with a finale airing on August 14. After the finale, the actor spoke to the publication, saying she doesn't pay much thought to the haters. 'I don't think I have the constitution to have spent a lot of time thinking about that. We always worked incredibly hard to tell stories that were interesting or real. I guess I don't really care. And the reason I don't care is because it has been so enormously successful, and the connections it has made with audiences have been very meaningful,' she said. That being said, the actor is satisfied with the ending of the series. When asked if she liked the decision to wrap up the role of Carrie on her own, she shared, 'Absolutely. I feel good about her. I think she's set up pretty well.' Regarding the haters, Sarah, in an interview to People, said, 'I think you're going to perhaps read things or hear things that don't always feel great. When you're part of a community, people are going to have a lot of feelings. And it doesn't mean that a feeling can't change, it's a reaction. We want very much for people to have all those feelings, and it's not for us to police or try to correct them.' More about And Just Like That The series follows Carrie Bradshaw, Kristin Davis' Charlotte York and Cynthia Nixon's Miranda Hobbes as they navigate all of life's ups and downs as women in their 50s. The show first premiered on HBO Max in December 2021. It concluded with its season 3 on August 14. The series was a spin-off of Sex and the City, which ran from June 1998 to February 2004. The Sex and the City universe is based on Candace Bushnell's newspaper column and 1996 book of the same name.

'You cant be cancelled..': Denzel Washington on cancel culture, public support
Washington, DC [US], August 18 (ANI): Actor and director Denzel Washington shared that he is not concerned about other people's opinions and getting "cancelled," according to The Hollywood Reporter. When Washington, alongside director and frequent collaborator Spike Lee, was asked, in a video interview, if he was concerned about "being 'cancelled,'" he replied with a question, "What does that mean -- to be cancelled?" The interviewer responded, "it means you lose public support," Washington said, "who cares?,"according to The Hollywood Reporter. He added, "What made public support so important to begin with?" Washington explained what's important to him. "I don't care who's following who," he said. "You can't lead and follow at the same time, and you can't follow and lead at the same time. I don't follow anybody. I follow the heavenly spirit. I follow God, I don't follow man. I have faith in God. I have hope in man, but look around, it ain't working out so well," according to The Hollywood Reporter. He added, "You can't be cancelled if you haven't signed up. Don't sign up. Don't get me started. My chest started hurting. You know, chest is getting tight talking about it." Denzel Washington has nine Academy Award nominations under his belt and is a two-time Oscar winner for his performances in the movies 'Glory' and 'Training Day'. However, the actor places no value on such career milestones Recently, in an interview with Variety, he said, "I don't do it for Oscars. I don't care about that kind of stuff. I've been at this a long time, and there's time when I won and shouldn't have won and then didn't win and should've won. Man gives the award. God gives the reward." Washington continued, "I'm not that interested in Oscars. People ask me, 'Where do I keep it?' Well, next to the other one. I'm not bragging! Just telling you how I feel about it. On my last day, [Oscars] aren't going to do me a bit of good." Washington and Lee's latest collaboration, their fifth overall and first in nearly 20 years, though according to Lee, likely not their last, the movie Highest 2 Lowest, is in theatres now, as per the outlet. The A24 and Apple film is a reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa's High and Low, starring Washington as a music mogul who's targeted in a ransom plot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. (ANI)
