East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 watch list includes 14 Florida football players
A total of 14 UF student-athletes were projected to represent the Orange and Blue in the East-West Shrine Bowl, with four of them on the defensive side of scrimmage. That list of players consists of defensive lineman Caleb Banks, defensive back Jordan Castell, and edge defenders George Gumbs Jr. and Tyreak Sapp.
On offense, tight end Hayden Hansen, wide receivers J. Michael Sturdivant and Eugene Wilson III, plus offensive linemen Knijeah Harris, Bryce Lovett, Austin Barber, Damieon George Jr. and Jake Slaughter comprise the eight Gators that got the call.
Two members of the program's special teams — kicker Trey Smack and long snapper Rocco Underwood — also made the cut.
About the East-West Shrine Bowl
The East-West Shrine Bowl takes place in Frisco, Texas, on Jan. 27, 2026, and serves as an opportunity for players to showcase their talents in front of NFL coaches and have access to NFL-level resources before the NFL draft.
For more than 100 years, this game has served as a launching pad for some of football's most iconic athletes, including Tom Brady, Walter Payton, and John Elway, alongside today's rising stars like Brock Purdy, Zay Flowers, and Isiah Pacheco.
Beyond the game, the event plays a vital role in raising funds to support Shriners Children's, offering specialized pediatric care to children facing complex health challenges.

Isaiah Davis makes waves On a plus side, running back Isaiah Davis took advantage of Braelon Allen missing practice due to injury. ESPN was among those that praised Davis' efforts working with the first-team offense, both in the rushing and passing game. Titans sign OL Arlington Hambright, waive WR Ramel Keyton
The Titans made a change to their roster on Sunday morning. They announced that they have signed offensive lineman Arlington Hambright. They waived wide receiver Ramel Keyton in a corresponding move. Hambright signed to Tennessee's practice squad last year and went on to play in four games on special teams for the Titans during the regular season. He was a 2020 Bears seventh-round pick and played nine games as a rookie. He also saw action for the Colts in 2023. Keyton signed with the team after Treylon Burks fractured his collarbone in a training camp practice. He had one catch for the Raiders last season.

Former Georgia QB Matthew Stafford makes NFL top 100
Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford has been one of the top quarterbacks in the league for a while and he was rewarded for it by his peers. Stafford made the NFL's top 100, coming in at No. 59. Stafford absolutely deserved this award. In his age-36 season, Stafford threw for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns, leading the Los Angeles Rams on five game-winning drives. He brought the Rams to a 10-7 record and NFC West title. After that, the Rams upset the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings in the wild card round and came within one play of defeating the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round. He was playing through an injury in that game too. Stafford comes down from ranking No. 42 last year, but he enters the list for the eighth time in his career, tying former Auburn/Florida quarterback Cam Newton and former Ole Miss quarterback Phillip Rivers for the most top 100 selections of any former SEC quarterback in NFL history. Matthew Stafford makes the NFL 100 He also ties with wide receiver A.J. Green for the most top 100 selections for any former Georgia Bulldog player. There have already been two Georgia Bulldogs selected in the NFL's top 100. Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey comes in at No. 100 (somewhat lower than people expected), while Bills running back James Cook comes in at No. 89. However, with guys like Jalen Carter, Roquan Smith, and Brock Bowers still awaiting their ranking, Georgia fans have more to look forward to in the future.
