Turnstile Announce New Album ‘Never Enough,' Alongside New Single
After a long four years the critically acclaimed hardcore punk band Turnstile, has returned with the follow up to their sensational grammy nominated 2021 LP, Glow On. Never Enough is the newly announced fourth studio album from the Baltimore outfit, and it's set to release on June 6th. According to a press release, the album was recorded between Los Angeles and the band members' homes in Baltimore, and the album was produced by Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates. Alongside the album announcement, Turnstile has released the title track and very single for the upcoming LP.
Stylistically the new single sounds very similar to what Turnstile did on Glow On, though with notably more melancholic synthesizers and melodic vocals. The soaring guitar solo midway through the track is also nice touch to what's overall a very familiar, yet satisfying first single from the band. Additionally, the cinematography from the new video is incredible and it's very reminiscent to the art-house aesthetics the band showcased on Glow On – Turnstile's Brendan Yates has not only produced the upcoming album but he directed the band's latest video alongside guitarist Pat McCrory.
By the end of the video for 'Never Enough," it looks as if Turnstile are teasing another video for what'll likely be the second single for this upcoming album. If the band is keeping with the themes from Glow On, then it's likely they could have another short-film in the works for their upcoming LP, similar to what they did with "TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION."
As far as modern rock goes, Turnstile are at the top of everyone's most anticipated LPs for this year, given how widely successful the band's 2021 album was. It'll be interesting to see how the band can build up from what they did on Glow On, while still delivering something unique. 'Never Enough' seems to fit that criteria quite well, but hopefully the band still has some songs that deliver their signature breakdowns and hooky guitar riffs. Speaking of guitar, the band has also recruited a new member, guitarist Meg Mills (Big Cheese, Chubby & The Gang). Mills permanently joined the band near the end of the tour cycle for Glow On, replacing co-founder Brady Ebert who left the band in August of 2022.
Apart from a few festival appearances slated for this summer, Turnstile has yet to announce a 2025 tour for their upcoming album. Below are all the festival dates the band is set to perform later this year:
JUN 07 - Barcelona, Spain - Primavera Sound 2025

JUN 14 - Porto, Portugal - Primavera Sound Porto 2025

Take the World's Hardest ‘It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Quiz
When It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia debuted on FX in 2005, it arrived with little fanfare and even less polish. Shot on a shoestring budget, the pilot was a scrappy, crude comedy about three narcissistic bar owners in South Philly. Philadelphia Inquirer critic Jonathan Storm called it 'Seinfeld on crack,' but the show slowly built a cult following, thanks in part to its absurd plotlines, and the addition of Danny DeVito in the second season. Two decades later, Always Sunny is the longest-running live-action sitcom in American TV history. Its fans quote it endlessly and enjoy dissecting the show's deep lore. If you're one of them, it's time to put your knowledge of the Gang to the test. Let's see how much you jabronis really know. Zero to 32% correct: Well, at least you're not a nerd … but have you actually watched It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Or are you just vaguely aware that there's a show with Danny DeVito in it where people yell and drink a lot? No judgment — if you've only seen out-of-context clips of Charlie screaming about 'Pepe Silvia,' you've got a wild ride ahead. We suggest starting with Season Two, Episode Three, 'Dee and Dennis Go on Welfare.' There are 17 seasons of debauchery for you to catch up on. Heads up: It starts off weird, and only gets more bizarre from there. More from Rolling Stone The World's Hardest Beatles 'Abbey Road' Quiz 'It's Always Sunny' Is Only Getting Better With Time Take the World's Hardest Quiz: David Bowie 33 to 64% correct: You've likely browned-out on riot juice and know not to ask too many questions when someone brings up 'the implication.' You may not remember every time the Gang wrecked Dee's car or each of Dennis' sociopathic monologues, but you've seen enough to hold your own at Paddy's. If you want to take your knowledge to the next level, we recommend listening to the It's Always Sunny podcast, hosted by Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, and Rob Mac (neé McElhenney). Be warned: The podcast stops near the end of the fifth season, which has left many fans disappointed. 65 to 100% correct: You're basically an honorary member of the Gang. You can quote Dayman in its entirety, you've searched to see if bird law actually exists, and you know the Gang purchased a boat in 'The Gang Buys a Boat' using $2,500 they successfully made from You've earned your place among the most hardcore of Sunny superfans. The conflict that drove Des Moines' Oktoberfest to Ankeny
Tickets for central Iowa's largest Oktoberfest go on sale Friday, marking the start of a new era for the long-standing festival after an unexpected move from Des Moines to Ankeny. Why it matters: The move marks a cultural and economic loss for downtown Des Moines, ending a tradition that drew thousands of people each fall. The sudden shift highlights the difficulties local event organizers face in securing venues or support, even for signature events. Driving the news: Oktoberfest Des Moines organizers announced the 16-mile move last week, saying it is " an incredible new chapter" for the event's 21st year that allows it to expand. Yes, but: The move wasn't harmonious. Behind the scenes: After months of planning and with entertainers and vendors booked, event organizers found out March 28 that Turnstile, a hardcore punk band, was scheduled to perform at Water Works Park starting at 5pm Sept. 28. That wouldn't give the crews of the German-style celebration enough time to prepare the area after its midnight wrap-up on Sept. 27, event owner Melinda Toyne tells Axios. "I love the downtown. I've been doing this for 22 years, and it's not fun to restart an event," she said. The other side: Chris Burch, executive director of the Water Works Park Foundation, tells Axios that consecutive concerts or events have gone smoothly and there was no scheduling conflict. He declined further comment. What we're watching: DSM Biergarten, a German-themed popup that is running its fourth season in the park, will host a new Oktoberfest celebration Sept. 19-21, likely from 11am-9pm, owner Alex Davis tells Axios. The big picture: A festival recession has been building for years, with dozens of cancellations this year across the U.S., CNN Entertainment reports. Flashback: The 80/35 Music Festival held at Water Works Park last year had disappointing attendance before the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition, its nonprofit operator, dissolved in October. Its gross revenue from admissions and merchandise dropped over 50% between 2022 and 2024, from about $685,000 to $333,000 last year, according to the group's final tax filing. The intrigue: Oktoberfest probably won't return to DSM, but "you never say never," Toyne said.
