UAE Announces Drone Cybersecurity Guidelines

The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) announced the development of the country's first national Drone Cybersecurity Guidelines, in strategic collaboration with Reach Digital, a subsidiary of Reach Group and specialises in digital transformation and cybersecurity innovation, and Shieldworkz, a cybersecurity firm specialised in OT/IoT and drone protection technologies.
This announcement considers a tangible outcome of the UAE's future-oriented vision, which aims to strengthen the nation's resilience against cyber threats, support secure digital transformation, and position the United Arab Emirates as a global hub for innovation and technology.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity, said: 'These guidelines represent a vital milestone in enhancing the nation's UAV ecosystem, ensuring that drone operations across government, commercial, and industrial sectors are resilient, secure, and aligned with global best practices.

'With increasing UAV deployment across sectors from agriculture, environmental monitoring to logistics cybersecurity risks must be proactively addressed to protect airspace, infrastructure, and data integrity.'

The event will gather the region's leading hospitality experts in sales, marketing, revenue management and distribution for two inspirational days of presentations, panel debates, networking opportunities and awards. Since 2018, CSC has been the only conference of its kind in the region and the go-to event for hospitality peers to discuss the industry's most pressing issues and hottest topics. Kaspersky announces the registration opening for its brand-new Kaspersky{CTF} (Capture the Flag) competition, inviting academic and corporate teams from around the globe to compete in a battle of skill, strategy and innovation. The competition will run in five regional streams, with the winning teams of each stream getting a unique opportunity to join the finals as part of Kaspersky's Security Analyst Summit in Thailand on October 25-28 and compete for an $18,000 prize pool. In an era where cyberthreats continue to evolve, Kaspersky remains committed to fostering cybersecurity talent and upskilling cybersecurity professionals worldwide to help them counter the constantly developing threat landscape. In May, Kaspersky hosted SAS CTF (Security Analyst Summit Capture the Flag) qualifiers for the community of cybersecurity researchers, defining eight teams that will meet at the finals. The new CTF competition — Kaspersky{CTF} — is designed to reach out to an even broader audience of researchers and bring together teams from academic and corporate fields, offering a platform for both rising talents and established experts to test their skills on a grand scale. The META stream of the competition is organized with the support of the UAE Cyber Security Council. The Council plays a vital role in securing the nation's digital transformation and supporting initiatives that enhance cyber resilience within the local market.
