Georgia Bulldogs basketball fans are thrilled after Georgia ended their NCAA Tournament drought. The Bulldogs (20-12, 8-10 SEC) are the No. 9 seed in the Midwest Region of the bracket and will play the No. 8-seed Gonzaga Bulldogs (25-8, 14-4 West Coast) on Thursday in Wichita, Kansas.
Georgia had not made the NCAA Tournament since 2015. The Bulldogs are one of 14 SEC teams (new NCAA record) to make March Madness. Georgia was pretty confident in their NCAA Tournament hopes after a recent four-game winning streak.
Still, you never know what the selection committee will do, so it was a relief to many UGA fans when they finally heard their name called in the bracket reveal.
"And in that eight-nine game, they (Gonzaga) will face a Georgia Bulldogs squad that took down Florida, Kentucky and St. John's," said Adam Zucker of CBS. "As they (Georgia) go for their first tournament win since 2002."

The Georgia-Gonzaga winner will play the winner between Houston and SIU Edwardsville in the round of 32.
"The Georgia Bulldogs had the fourth-longest NCAA Tournament drought among high-major teams, trailing only DePaul, Boston College, and Stanford," said Jordan Hill of 247Sports via social media. Of course, now this drought is over. However, UGA has not won an NCAA Tournament game since 2002.
"DAWGS Let's Go Dancing!!!" said Silas Demary Sr on social media.
"My hopes are irrationally high!" said former Georgia tight end Arthur Lynch via social media. "There's nothing more fun than partaking in the delusional Dawgs fan mania." As a fan it is nice to just be in March Madness, but we know the players and coaches will want to make noise in the NCAA Tournament.

Bryson DeChambeau returns to defend U.S. Open title as golf's YouTube king

OAKMONT, Pa. — Bryson DeChambeau returns to the 2025 U.S. Open as the defending champion and golf's YouTube king, at least among the pro ranks. From his 2 million YouTube fans watching him try to "Break 50" with the likes of Donald Trump, various influencers and athletes to joining Johnson Wagner as he tried to reproduce his remarkable bunker shot at 18 at Pinehurst No. 2 during Golf Channel's "Live From," people love DeChambeau's content creation. The latest example was on display at Oakmont, site of this week's 125th U.S. Open, when DeChambeau showed up for a practice round on May 31 and filmed every shot. It was riveting stuff that no other player had done before. 'He's done a heck of a job using social media channels to connect with viewers, connect with golfers, and show his true personality because I think he probably didn't do a great job of that early on in his career,' NBC's Kevin Kisner said. ESPN's Scott Van Pelt took his analysis of DeChambeau's reboot as a YouTube star – he's got nearly 3 million Instagram followers and another 2 million on TikTok, too – one step further. 'I think he's now kind of figured out where he wants to be. He's almost reinvented himself in some ways,' he said. 'He's grown as a human, it seems to me. Last year he came and sat down in the Butler Cabin with me on Thursday and Friday, and he's been sort of this — he's played very different characters in a movie. It's almost like he's been many different versions of himself. 'And when he sat and visited with me last year, I just remarked to a number of people, he just seems like a different guy. He seems more at ease with himself. I don't know if it's the tour he plays, I don't know if it's just part of growing up, which is part of all of our lives, but he seemed comfortable, entirely comfortable with himself.' DeChambeau, 31, finally is becoming comfortable in his own skin, and YouTube has helped him let his guard down, he said, 'showing the fans a side of me that was locked up for so long.' 'What's funny is as much as my guard has been let down, I feel like I'm more strategic in how I deliver things and how I give perspective on things. Before, I was pretty up front and would just say things the way I wanted to whenever I wanted to,' he explained. 'Now it's more strategic in the way I do it and deliver it because I think there's a lot of good that can come from that.' DeChambeau has said he's taken a page out of the playbook of MrBeast, whose viral content are the most-watched videos on YouTube. Asked whether any of his peers have turned to him for advice on how to launch a YouTube channel, DeChambeau highlighted Phil Mickelson. Lefty said he'd always seen what he called the playful, fun, intelligent and interesting side of DeChambeau. 'He's able to showcase that and not have who he is be filtered by a middle person,' Mickelson said. 'He controls what content he puts out there and what he wants to shoot and so forth. So his personality comes out. It's been remarkable to see the evolution of it and the way the public has responded to him because he's always been like that. It just hasn't been able to be noticed, I guess, properly.' In discussing the tips he has passed along to Mickelson, DeChambeau said he reads the comments section and tries to give the people what they want. 'We've grown our channel to over 2 million followers now and couldn't be more thankful, and it's literally by listening to the comments section, by looking at the comments and seeing what they want,' he said. Major champion. Long driver. YouTube star. A case could be made that the latter has become what drives DeChambeau. 'It's a new space. I'm learning how to become a little bit more entertaining,' he said. 'It's not just golf, golf, golf, trying to win every really what gets me up in the morning and gives me a lot of passion for this game." Kirby Smart, Georgia Add Another Recruiting Win as Surge Continues

Kirby Smart, Georgia Add Another Recruiting Win as Surge Continues originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Head coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to bolster the class of 2026 during an important recruiting period. Advertisement The Bulldogs had yet to surpass 10 commitments in the 2026 cycle at this time last month. After a number of high-profile official visits, though, things have certainly picked up. Marking the fourth commitment over the last two weeks, Georgia received a pledge from in-state offensive lineman Zachary Lewis on Monday. Lewis (6-foot-4, 270 pounds) plays for North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where he ranks as the No. 32 interior offensive lineman and the No. 53 player in the state (247Sports). South Carolina and North Carolina were also in contention for Lewis before he announced his decision. Advertisement 'I've grown up a Dawgs fan and now I get to be a Dawg!" Lewis said via On3's Hayes Fawcett. The Bulldogs began the month of June by landing highly touted cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick, the brother of former Alabama Crimson Tide standout and current Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Justice Fitzpatrick, out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, ranks as a top-100 recruit and the No. 8 player at his position. Additionally, Georgia landed four-star defensive lineman Carter Luckie on May 31 after receiving a pledge from four-star wide receiver Ryan Mosley three days earlier. Georgia hasn't finished outside the top five in nine consecutive years under Smart. Nets projected to take Michigan C Danny Wolf No. 27 in 2025 NBA Draft

The Brooklyn Nets have some important decisions to make ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft that begins on June 25 in which the team will have five picks to use. Brooklyn is focused on more than just the Draft, but when it comes to their future, the Nets will have to do their homework given that the players they take this year could be crucial members of the roster. In his latest mock draft for Bleacher Report, Jonathan Wasserman projected the Nets to take Michigan center Danny Wolf with the 27th overall pick in the Draft, the last of four first-round picks Brooklyn has at its disposal. Wolf, standing at 6-foot-11 and 252 pounds, is one of the more interesting players in this class given his ability to handle the ball and shoot at his size. Advertisement "Danny Wolf made a strong, final pitch to scouts against Auburn, finishing with 20 points and a number of eye-opening highlights that showcased his creation and shotmaking," Wasserman wrote on Wolf. "Though his three-point numbers might not indicate shooting improvement, he added a pull-up and step-back to his repertoire this year." Wolf, 21, is coming off a junior season with the Wolverines in which he averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 49.7% from the field and 33.6% from three-point land. Wolf put forth his production for a Michigan team that finished the 2024-25 regular season with a 27-10 record, allowing them to make the NCAA Tournament where they made it all the way to the Sweet 16 before losing to the Auburn Tigers. While it will be interesting to see if Wolf last until the 27th overall pick in a class that seems to taper off around the 12th pick or so, his skill set will be interesting for every team that has a first-round pick outside of the Lottery. "A 7-footer who made 21 dribble jumpers, served as Michigan's lead playmaker and still averaged 9.7 boards and 1.4 blocks is bound to entice a number of teams," Wasserman continued.
