Glossier's ‘refreshing' hair perfume that ‘lasts so long' pulls in rave reviews
Glossier's hair and body spritz is pulling in rave reviews on Sephora, where the £35 spritz is being described as 'identical' to a much more expensive product. The spritz comes in two scents: Sandstone and Orange Blossom Neroli, but the former seems to be the most popular.
Sandstone is a blend of sandalwood, clary sage and fresh fig leaf which gives a fairly woody end result. One shopper said that the mist is 'identical' to Jo Malone London's Wood, Sage and Sea Salt which is more more expensive at £82 for a 50ml bottle.
Hair and body sprays typically lean a lot sweeter than the Glossier option, with Sol de Janeiro being one of the most popular options known for their fruity summer scents. So far the Glossier hair perfume has pulled in an average rating of 4.2 out of 5 on Sephora.

One shopper praised the longevity, writing: "This lasts SO LONG. Lots of compliments. Unlike anything else I own! And I love the body spritz format rather than the perfume, I feel like I can spray this all over my body and it won't be too overpowering."
While another said: "Love love love the scent. It's the perfect all over spray that just clings to your hair and clothes and is so refreshing. I thought I'd be a fan of the other scent more, but this one is perfect for everyday use."
One shopper found the longevity lacking, saying: "I ordered this in Sandstone. It's not a strong fragrance and the lasting power isn't great. The packaging even says to spritz liberally as the first step in your scent routine. It's herbaceous and woody, so if you like fruity florals then this one won't be for you. I do like the scent. I just wish there was more to it."
It is always worth remembering that perfume mists are never intended to have the same lasting power as eau de parfums. Glossier does have Sandstone available in both a Daily Oil Wash cleanser for £28 as well as an £18 deodorant and a £28 lotion. When using the same scent in multiple products it can have a stronger impact.
Another shopper was impressed by the longevity and even compared it to a much more expensive option on the high street. "Smells great and lasts a long time on clothes, but I will say if you have wood sage and sea salt from Jo Malone, you don't need this. They smell identical to me. I would buy again though when I run out."

Meet The New Sol De Janeiro Perfume Mist I'm Stockpiling – It's Only Available Until September
If you're in the market for a new summer fragrance, the countless reviews touting Sol de Janeiro as the best are hard to miss. There's no denying the brand holds some serious sway in the beauty world. Those glow-giving body lotions have long been adored by beauty editors, while the iconic Bum Bum Cream is a celebrity favourite - Hailey Bieber is a fan thanks to its skin-nourishing, bottom-beautifying prowess. In fact, nine since its launch, it's still Sephora's biggest-ever body care seller with one selling every six seconds. The stats are impressive, certainly, but it's the fragrance mists that have reached peak viral status. At this point, I've tried them all. My well-trained nose can sniff out those instantly recognisable gourmand notes within mere seconds. Described as utterly addictive (and hoarded by swathes of teen girls), the scents are known for being juicy, succulent, and deliciously sweet. Though each mist is different, they all share that unmistakable signature Sol de Janeiro juice. You're likely already acquainted with the addictive gourmand notes that make each instantly recognisable. If you've been considering picking one for yourself, I've personally reviewed each and every one so you can discover which might suit you best. Scent, of course, is deeply personal- but sometimes a beauty editor's recommendation can be helpful when it comes to hitting the check-out button. Hot off the back of their latest launch (The Sol Tote is still proving to be the hit of the summer) the latest mist to land on the Grazia beauty desk will likely spark excitement among devotees - of which, we've established, there are many. Enter the new Limited-Edition Sundays in Rio Perfume Mist, £24. And when I say limited edition? I mean limited edition- it's only available until 24th September, which is likely to cause something of a frenzy among fragrance fans. But is this one truly worth stockpiling? Scroll on for my thoughts. 1. Sol de Janeiro Sundays in Rio Perfume Mist Price: £24 Rachael Martin beauty director says: 'As someone who would happily spend over £100 on a good scent, knowing this one is on par with its high end counterparts is actually quite thrilling. It's only £24, and for a hefty 90ml bottle I think this is excellent value for money. Will it be snapped up by teenagers the world over? Almost certainly. It has that addictive, viral quality that the TikTok generation will go wild for. But you can bet I'll be getting in on it too. My only gripe? I hate that it's a limited edition. I've already ordered two. So if you want one, don't wait- it's only available until 24th September.' Pros Long lasting, lingering scent A grown-up gourmand Cons It's set to be discontinuted Rachael Martin, Beauty Director, says: 'I'm a bona fide fragrance snob. If it's not stop-me-in-the-street good, I'm not interested. I love a heady scent that lingers all day and draws compliments long after the initial spritz. Interestingly, despite being a body spray (which are typically less concentrated), I always get compliments when wearing Sol de Janeiro. And for a while this was my guilty secret. While often associated with a younger generation, the iconic Cheirosa '62 still finds its way into my beauty bag. And why shouldn't it? The intoxicating blend of vanilla and caramel, laced with pistachio and almond has me at hello. Its worth noting that the perfumer, Jérôme Epinette, is one of the most respected in the industry (he's the nose behind Victoria Beckham and Byredo's perfumes.) Epinette's expertise shows in Sol scents - I'll take a deep breath and honestly, as cliched as it sounds, it's sunshine in a bottle. Naturally, I was quite intrigued to try this new limited-edition version. First impressions? Sundays in Rio feels slightly more sophisticated and grown-up- like Cheirosa '62's older sister. It's softer and more subtle, even down to the delicate purple bottle that feels more 'sunset' than 'sunrise.' One misting reveals a heady amber musk- it's creamy, woody, and settles beautifully. Then comes the vanilla and pink pepper. This is an unexpected pairing that creates a cocooning, skin-like finish. It's at once comforting yet makes a quiet statement. I've been keeping this one in my bag for on-the-go top-ups (London's 30 degree and counting heat is no joke right now), but I've been pleasantly surprised by how long-lasting it really is. As the day wears on, the scent does fade a wee bit. It becomes more delicate- but a quick sniff of my skin confirms it's still very much there. Could this be my new favourite? Absolutely. The first time I wore it, my husband- in all his perpetually oblivious glory- told me I smelled 'really gorgeous.' Then, during a morning meeting in the Grazia office, someone called "whatever perfume I was wearing a show-stopper." A show-stopper! Yes, this is exactly the kind of feedback I want from a fragrance. As someone who would happily spend over £100 on a good scent, knowing this one is on par with its high end counterparts is actually quite thrilling. If you want one, don't wait- it's only available until 24th September. A long-lasting, stand-out of a scent. Consider Sundays in Rio a more grown-up take on gourmand, while still staying true to the brand's playfulness. It's cosseting, comforting, and -as my husband put it- really gorgeous. And I may just order a third... Rachael Martin is Grazia's Beauty Director. You're applying your blusher wrong! A make-up artist reveals the most flattering blush placement for each face shape
Your blusher might be one of the most compact products in your make-up bag, but it has a major impact on the look of your face. Whether you just want a natural flush, or babydoll cheeks à la Sabrina Carpenter, applying blush is a great way to define and shape your facial features. But there are a few things to consider. Choosing the right formula (there are powder, cream and liquid blushers – all of which have different finishes) and colour is key. But so is the placement of your blush. To ensure you're adding colour in places that flatter your features, you need to know your face shape. Ahead, Sephora Pro Team make-up artist Athena Ioannidiou shares how to identify your face shape – you'll likely slot into one of these six categories: round, square, oval, heart, rectangular or diamond – and her best tips on where to apply blush for each. How to apply blush to flatter your face shape If you have a round face… A round face features similar width and length, with full cheeks and a rounded jawline. They prefer blush styles that create a lifting effect and add angles by starting the application high on the cheekbones and blending upwards. This technique can help elongate the face. If you have a square face… Square faces are characterised by a strong, angular jawline and equal proportions of width and length. Soften the angles by applying blush closer to the centre of the face, focusing on the apples of the cheeks with circular motions. This creates soft volume and a more youthful look. If you have an oval face… An oval face is often considered the most balanced face shape, with a slightly longer-than-wide structure and a gently curved jawline. Due to these features, most blush styles are flattering. You can create a lifting effect by applying high on the cheekbones, focus on the apples of the cheeks for a youthful glow, or sweep blush across the cheeks and nose for a sun-kissed look. If you have a heart-shaped face… A heart-shaped face features a broad forehead that narrows to a pointed chin. Start the blush application on the apples of the cheeks, blending along the cheekbones and towards the temples. This style adds soft volume and a subtle lift to the cheeks. If you have a rectangular face… Similar to oval faces, but slightly more angular, rectangular faces are characterised by wide cheekbones and a narrow forehead and jawline. This shape is well-suited for higher blush placement. Apply blush along the cheekbones, blending outwards toward the ears. This enhances the pronounced cheekbones while gently lifting the features. If you have a diamond-shaped face… A longer-than-wide shape, often with a straight jawline. The forehead, cheeks, and jawline are typically about the same width, giving the face an elongated and slender appearance. Like oval faces, oblong faces can carry a variety of blush placements. That said, applying blush in a straight line across the face creates a sun-kissed look and adds a bit of width. Alternatively, use a slight semicircle shape, being careful not to blend too far in either direction. Don't hesitate to add a touch of blush on the bridge of the nose as well.

Kate Middleton's Wimbledon Clarins lip gloss is reduced to £7 with clever hack
The Princess of Wales famously used this usually-£23 lip gloss at Wimbledon in 2019 Kate Middleton's beauty game is always top-notch, with the Princess frequently opting for a natural, fresh-faced look. You might assume that the future Queen relies on ultra-luxury products to achieve her impeccable appearance, but some of her go-to makeup items are surprisingly budget-friendly. Kate is reportedly a fan of Clarins' bestselling Lip Perfector, which she was spotted using at Wimbledon in 2019. It retails for £23, but savvy shoppers who use TopCashback can snag it for less than a tenner. While the process may seem intimidating, it's straightforward, free and easy to do. New Sephora customers and new TopCashback members will receive a complimentary £15 sign-up bonus as well as cashback on their purchase. This brings the cost of the lip gloss down to £7.04 after all discounts have been applied. All you need to do is shop it through this unique link. Praised as a 'holy grail' by customers, the lip gloss uses wild mango butter and shea butter to nourish and hydrate the lips, while rice bran oil, peptides and a lip highlighter complex enhance the lips' natural colour. The versatile formula also allows it to be used to add a hint of colour to your cheeks, resulting in skin that looks plump and silky smooth, reports the Manchester Evening News. Despite only having two reviews on the Sephora website, the Lip Perfector has garnered an impressive 4.6 out of five-star rating based on 1,410 reviews at Debenhams, where it retails for £23. One chuffed customer penned: "The colour is perfect, it's creamy and best of all not sticky - makes my lips feel super soft and hydrated." Another chimed in: "It gives just the right amount of shine and feels super comfortable on the lips. Definitely a must-have in my makeup bag." A third shopper praised the Lip Perfector: "It's the perfect balance of hydration, colour and shine. The texture is super smooth - not sticky at all - and it leaves my lips feeling soft and nourished thanks to the shea butter and natural oils." While the product has received largely positive feedback, there were a few customers who were less than thrilled with their purchase: "Extremely difficult to apply, uneven, peculiar smell and non lasting. I will never buy this again." However, another was smitten with their latest Clarins acquisition, gushing: "My holy grail for effortless, glossy lips. I've tried countless lip products, but the Clarins Lip Perfector stands out as a true staple in my makeup bag. The formula is ultra-smooth, hydrating, and gives my lips the perfect soft, plump look without any stickiness. "It has just the right amount of colour to enhance your natural lips, making it ideal for everyday wear or layering over lipstick. The applicator feels luxurious and makes it easy to apply on the go. Bonus: it smells like vanilla-subtle but so comforting. If you're looking for that "your lips but better" finish with a silky, non-greasy texture, this is it. Total game-changer." As an alternative, you might consider the Biossance Pro Peptide Lip Perfector, which costs £15 at LookFantastic. There's also the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm, retailing at £12 from Space NK. Offered in both clear and tinted varieties, it delivers silky, soft and smooth-feeling lips.
