'It's Very Give And Take': Sanvikaa On Her Bond With Panchayat Co-Star Jitendra

News1804-08-2025
Talking about her much-discussed on-screen chemistry with Jitendra Kumar, Sanvikaa says it's something they never consciously worked on — and that's what makes it click. 'I think it's a very unsaid chemistry. It's a very give and take equation. We don't even talk much — just basic conversations, like 'how are you doing'. We don't rehearse too much, just align on set before a scene, and if something feels off during a take, we adjust then and there. It's very organic, not prepared. For me, it just feels naturally okay," she told us.
She also praised Jitendra as a co-star who made her feel at ease on set despite her being relatively new. 'He's amazing. Very supportive. He never made me feel I was working for the first time or that he has done so much work already. He never dominated, treated me with a lot of respect, and created a calm, supportive environment for me to perform. That's why our understanding shows on screen."

We asked Sanvikaa whether she she relates to Rinki as a person. The actor admitted that she does see glimpses of herself in her character, but there also lies key differences. 'Yes, to some extent. I'm also shy, I don't speak much, and I'm strong-headed. But I'm more self-driven than Rinki. She's still very dependent on her parents, still finding her voice. I, on the other hand, always speak up when something feels wrong — though people often call it bhagavat (rebellion). But it's just my way of saying things. I'm polite, I give people multiple chances, but if things go too far and I'm not taken seriously, I can be fierce. I believe you should always address something that's wrong, otherwise people will keep walking over you," she said with quiet determination.
Sanvikaa also shared that while preparing for Rinki, she found herself thinking of her elder sister. 'I understood from the writers' briefing that Rinki lives in a chaotic world — her parents are hyper and always fighting — but she herself is calm, someone who takes a stand for what she feels is right, even against her loved ones. That reminded me of my sister. I've seen her all my life and found the character very similar to her. So it was easy to connect and draw inspiration from her — how she behaves, reacts, stands up for others," she recalled.
Was she always this person who stands up for herself and others? Sanvikaa reflected on her bygone days, 'Somewhere, yes. Even in college I was like this, but with lesser intensity. Over time, life and experiences taught me to be stronger. Every experience gives you a lesson — and it's a mix of who I am and what I've learnt along the way."
In fact, she also advises her friends the same. 'If you're not wrong, and something wrong is being done to you, at least address it. Otherwise people will keep seeing you as someone without a voice, and that pattern will repeat," she asserted.
Sanvikaa also shared an update on Panchayat 5. She said that writing is already in progress and the show is expected to go on floors by end of November or early nexr year.

'Roz bolungi....': Janhvi Kapoor reacts after being turned into 'meme material' for chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai at Janmashtami event

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 17 (ANI): Janhvi Kapoor clapped back at trolls after a video of her chanting "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" at a Janmashtami event in Mumbai went viral. The actress attended a Dahi Handi celebration in Ghatkopar on Saturday, where she broke the 'matki' with a coconut and raised the chant. Soon after, some social media users mocked her, joking she had mixed up Janmashtami with Independence Day. The video quickly became "meme material," with many calling it a "goof-up." Reacting to the trolling, the 'Param Sundari' actress took to her Instagram to share the full video and clarify that the viral clip had been "edited" and didn't show the full context. She went on to explain that she only repeated the chant after someone in the crowd had said, "Bolo Bharat Mata Ki Jai," and added that she would proudly say the slogan not just on Janmashtami, but "every single day." She wrote, "Just for context, full video lol. Unke bolne ke baad nahi bolti toh problem, aur bolo toh bhi video ko kaat ke meme material. Waise sirf Janmashtami ke din nahi, roz bolungi Bharat mata ki jaiiiii. (Just for context, here's the full video lol. If I didn't say it after they did, it would've been a problem. And if I do say it, the video gets edited and turned into meme material. By the way, not just on Janmashtami -- I'll say Bharat Mata Ki Jai every single day.)" The full video shows a voice prompting, "Bolo Bharat Mata Ki Jai," after which Janhvi repeats the chant and smashes the 'matki.' Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi is preparing for the release of her upcoming film 'Param Sundari' with Sidharth Malhotra, which hits theatres on August 29. (ANI)

Dianna, a Canada-based artist who helps newlyweds turn their love into an "artwork of a lifetime," shared the video on Instagram, capturing the reaction of a groom as she revealed to him the painting she did of him and his wife walking down the aisle as a married couple. In the clip, the artist can be seen moving aside to reveal her creation to the newlyweds as the groom carefully examines every detail. But soon, the smile on his face disappears and turns into confusion as he moves closer to see the background of the painting. "We surprised the groom with two very special people in the painting," she said. As the groom notices, his eyes well up with tears, and he holds his bride, thanking her for the addition. "Shelby had wanted to surprise Ryan by adding his grandfather and best friend to their wedding painting. Knowing they could only be there in spirit, it was their way of having them there on their special day," the artist explained in the caption of the video, revealing two men standing in the background of the painting, smiling at the newlyweds. "If there's one thing I will for sure do, it's cry as soon as someone else does. Days like these remind me how important art is and why I do what I do. I'm very thankful to be a part of it," she added. The video received a whopping 17.2 million views and nearly two million likes on Instagram. The bride and groom also dropped a comment calling the painting the "highlight of their wedding" and adding that they would cherish the art forever. Many in the comments claimed that they were moved to tears by the artist's work and praised her ability to make the couple's big day even more special.
