CM Revanth calls for comprehensive cow protection policy
A three member official committee has been appointed to conduct an in depth study on the establishment of cow shelters (goshalas) and to visit other states to examine their cow protection policies. The committee comprises Special Chief Secretary to the Animal Husbandry Department, Sabyasachi Ghosh; Principal Secretary to the Endowments Department, Shailaja Ramaiyar; and Secretary of the state Agriculture Department, Raghunandan Rao.
With the objective of protecting cows and alleviating their difficult living conditions, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered officials to construct modern cow shelters in four places across the state. These facilities will be established on sizable areas in Vemulawada, a famous temple town where devotees donate calves as part of the 'Kode Mokku' ritual; Yadagirigutta; Yenkepally near Hyderabad city; and at the Animal Husbandry university in the first phase.
During a review of cow protection efforts, the Chief Minister emphasised that the new policies should primarily focus on cow protection, given the cultural significance of cows and the sentiments of devotees. The Chief Minister expressed anguish over the high number of cow deaths among those donated in large numbers by devotees to cow shelters, attributing these losses to space constraints and other issues.
The Chief Minister suggested that special attention should be paid to the protection of calves donated with utmost devotion by pilgrims. He instructed officials to establish a cow shelter sprawling over 100 acres of land at Vemulawada.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made it clear that the state government is prepared to spend liberally on cow protection. During the meeting, officials submitted an approach paper related to the management of cow shelters to the Chief Minister.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has claimed that 'some political forces' have been impeding the growth of Hyderabad, which is being developed by the present government 'to compete with the world's top cities and not just Bengaluru and Chennai', and warned those 'enemies' that they would be dealt with swiftly and taught a 'befitting lesson'. Characterising them as 'anti-political forces', the Chief Minister said similar forces had created hurdles during the building of the HI-TEC City. "Those who are stalling the city's development, Musi river rejuvenation project, and Bharat Future City are our enemies', he underscored. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for an Integrated Sub Registrar and District Registrar Office complex coming up at Gachibowli on Wednesday. Amplifying his government's plans for Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy said that the state government is preparing plans for the comprehensive development of the state under 'TelanganaRising 2047' initiative, which focuses on transforming Hyderabad into 'the most sought-after city in the world'. 'One of the main objectives of the TelanganaRising 2047 is to position Hyderabad city to compete with Tokyo and New York." "Our goal is for Hyderabad to compete with the world's top cities, not just Bengaluru and Chennai", he emphasised. Revanth Reddy reiterated that the Musi riverfront would be developed by bringing Godavari river water to Musi and let it flow in the river for 365 days. The Chief Minister underlined that expansion and development of the city is the need of the hour to create more employment opportunities and livelihood options to the people. The Chief Minister, while referring to the Old City as 'the original city of Hyderabad', said that the Musi Rejuvenation Project will bring back the Old City's glory. Hyderabad City was recognized internationally and got big fame due to constant efforts made right from the time of the Quli Qutb Shahis to the present government. The Chief Minister recounted that former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was the brain behind the IT revolution in the country and that the erstwhile Congress government had laid the foundation for HI-TEC City in Hyderabad. Several global IT companies set up their firms in Hyderabad because of the foresight of the then chief ministers. CM Revanth Reddy said that the new registrar offices in Hyderabad will be built with advanced facilities providing 5 Star ambience. As many as 11 new registrar offices will be ready for operation by the Telangana Formation Day (June 2) next year. The integrated registrar offices, which generate huge revenues, will address all problems permanently. This state-of-the-art Integrated Sub Registrar and District Registrar Office at Gachibowli will house registration offices of Rangareddy, Gandipet, Serlingampalli and Rajendranagar. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy outlined the department's plans to develop integrated registration offices across the State in a phased manner. There are 39 sub registrar offices in the GHMC limits within the Outer Ring Road, which accounted for 63% of the revenue generated from registration. He said steps had been initiated to ensure that all these SROs in four districts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal and Sangareddy are shifted to 11 integrated registration offices.

Musi rejuvenation will restore old city's glory, says Revanth
Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy said the state govt was making all efforts for the comprehensive development of Hyderabad on the lines of cities like Tokyo, New York, Singapore, and not limiting just to Bengaluru, Chennai, or Delhi. He said the vision was being pursued under the agenda 'Telangana Raising 2047'. "Those who are obstructing the city's development by opposing projects like the Musi rejuvenation and Bharat Future City are enemies of progress. Similar anti-development forces had also created hurdles during the construction of the Hitec City. They ridiculed when Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was proposed at Shamshabad and even the Outer Ring Road," the chief minister said while speaking after laying the foundation stone for the integrated sub-registrar and district registrar offices of the Registration and Stamps (RS) department at Gachibowli on Wednesday. He reiterated the govt's commitment to take up Musi rejuvenation and beautification by constructing an elevated corridor and even reviving the night economy along the riverbank. "When BJP and other govts could clean and develop riverfronts of Sabarmati and Ganga, why not the Musi?" he asked. Revanth stressed that Old City is the original Hyderabad and said the Musi project would help restore its past glory. "Hyderabad earned global recognition and fame because of sustained efforts, from Quli Qutub Shahi rulers to the successive govts," he said. The chief minister said the Congress govt was giving top priority to both the welfare and development of Hyderabad. He credited the city's earlier transformation to former chief ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He pointed out that the foundation for Hitec City was laid in the 1990s by the then Congress chief minister N Janardhan Reddy, though construction was delayed due to various reasons. He added that Rajiv Gandhi played a key role in strengthening the IT sector in the country. "The Krishna and Godavari drinking water schemes for Hyderabad were commissioned during the Congress regimes," he further said. "Today, Hyderabad is home to 85 multinational companies and has expanded by leaps and bounds, especially in the IT corridors such as Gachibowli, Financial District, and even up to Vattinagulapally between 1994 and 2014," the CM said. On the new registration offices, the chief minister said they would be equipped with modern amenities on par with those of a five-star ambience and an international airport. Revanth to attend Justice Reddy's VP nomination in Delhi
Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy will leave for New Delhi on Thursday to participate in the nomination filing of the INDIA bloc Vice-Presidential candidate, Justice B Sudershan Reddy. The BJP-led NDA's Vice-Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan filed his nomination on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers. Revanth, along with deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka, will attend the nomination of Justice Sudershan Reddy. Bhatti is already in the national capital. Other ministers and all the Congress MPs from Telangana would also be participating in the nomination event. The chief minister is expected to return to the city after the process is completed.
