'I'm Angry…': Sanjay Dutt Says Lokesh Kanagaraj 'Wasted' Him In Thalapathy Vijay's Leo
Sanjay Dutt played the antagonist opposite Thalapathy Vijay in Leo. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the 2023 film was a huge success. Next, Sanjay will be seen in KD- The Devil with Dhruva Sarja. At the film's event, the actor spoke about Leo. He revealed that he is 'angry" with Lokesh for 'wasting" his potential in the film.
During the event in Chennai, Sanjay Dutt spoke about his bond with South stalwarts Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. He said, 'I respect Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, they are my seniors. I look up to them and learn from them. I have worked with Rajinikanth in multiple movies. He is the most humble person. I also loved working with Thalapathy Vijay."
He then went on to talk about working in Leo with Thalapathy Vijay, where he played the role of Leo's father, Antony Das. He added, 'I am angry at Lokesh because he did not give me a big role. He wasted me… I love Ajith sir. I am a close friend of his. I have watched several Rajini sir's films. I am looking forward to watching Coolie. I will also watch Thug Life for Kamal sir."
Sanjay Dutt has not one but two South films in the pipeline. He will be seen in Telugu film The RajaSaab, alongside Prabhas and the Kannada film KD – The Devil, featuring an ensemble cast of Dhruva Sarja, Reeshma Nanaiah, Shilpa Shetty, and Nora Fatehi, among others.
Sharing his experience of working in the South Indian film industry, Sanjay told TOI, 'It's a great place to be in." He then explained, 'Their sensibility of cinema is what we have had all our lives – to cater to the masses, to enhance the hero on screen and to do all that which I think Bollywood has forgotten to do now." He mentioned that he loved shooting with the South filmmakers because they were passionate about making films. He hoped that the passion for making films would come back to Bollywood.
Sanjay Dutt was recently seen in two films – first in The Bhootnii, a horror-comedy written and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, and then as a police officer in Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5. He will also be a first of Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar, the trailer of which was released on July 6.

‘The Biggest Thing I've Ever Made': Alien Earth's Creator Tells Fans At Comic-Con
Alien: Earth, created by Noah Hawley, is based on the Alien film franchise. Alien: Earth, the upcoming American sci-fi horror series, just made a huge splash at Comic Con this year. The pilot episode of the show was shown to over 6,500 attendees present at the Hall H panel. The crowd got to watch the full episode before the show's premiere on FX and Hulu on August 12, and it was a ride full of epic moments and creepy surprises. The series, based on the Alien film franchise, was created by Noah Hawley, who is best known for his work in Fargo and Legion. The new show serves as a prequel to the films and is set two years before the events of the 1979 film Alien, directed by Ridley Scott. 'This is by far the biggest thing I've ever made," the showrunner said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. He added, 'But I made it like I make everything else: By hand, and love for you." Alien: Earth will centre around Wendy, played by Sydney Chandler. One of a kind hybrid, she has been designed by one of the powerful corporations that run the world. She is a humanoid robot that possesses consciousness similar to that of a human. When a research spaceship owned by another mega-corporation crashes in a city in Southeast Asia, Wendy embarks on a mission to find her brother, CJ 'Hermit", a human soldier, played by Alex Lawther. What she did not know was that a terrifying xenomorph, along with some other new alien creatures, was also hidden inside that ship. The show will also feature Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, David Rysdahl and Babou Ceesay, among others. 'Each hour has to have its horror elements, but it has to be a drama. It has to be a character journey and be thematically rich. You have to worry that I may kill one of these people. I just might," explained the show's creator. The show will explore themes such as immortality, greed, and sibling bonds. Actor Timothy Olyphant, who plays the role of the character who is like a father figure to Wendy, shared that the audience will remember the characters more than the scares by the end of the four episodes of the upcoming show. Sydney Chandler Was Scared When She First Saw Xenomorph On Set The sci-fi horror will also feature plenty of action, including encounters with the xenomorphs. And fans were impressed to learn that the effects will be mostly real and not CGI, as a man in a suit brought the monster to life. 'I almost peed," admitted Sydney when she saw him on the set for the first time. First Published: July 26, 2025, 17:11 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Gaurav Taneja Claims Bigg Boss Makers Pay Pap Pages To Use Celeb Names For Hype: ‘Logon Ne…'
Last Updated: Gaurav Taneja denies joining Bigg Boss 19, claims makers pay paparazzi pages to use celeb names and create hype. Says he was offered earlier but declined. With the Bigg Boss first look unveiled, the makers are keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. While the official list of contestants has been kept under wraps, Gaurav Taneja, aka Flying Beast—who recently made headlines due to his personal life—is being speculated as one of the top names to join the show. Now, Gaurav has reacted to the rumours. In his recent vlog, the YouTuber addressed whether he is actually joining the Salman Khan-hosted controversial reality show. He clarified, saying, 'Arre bhai, nahi jaa raha main Bigg Boss 19. Logon ne pareshan kar diya hai. Koi PR page hai, usne laga di meri photo ke main jaa raha hoon, aur bhi teen chaar log hain." (I am not going to Bigg Boss 19. People have been troubling me. A PR page posted my photo saying I'm going, along with three or four other people.) Gaurav Taneja further revealed that while he was offered Bigg Boss in the past—before the COVID era—he had other commitments and turned it down. However, that doesn't mean he would never do the show. 'Social media pe aap kabhi kuch danke ki chot pe nahi bol sakte ke 'main kabhi Bigg Boss jaunga hi nahi'. Toh kuch aisa hai nahi, par haan, main iss baar toh nahi jaa raha." (You can never say with certainty on social media that you'll never do Bigg Boss. It's not like that, but yes, I'm not going this time.) In the vlog, the YouTuber also claimed that the Bigg Boss 19 team uses a marketing strategy involving deals with paparazzi pages, who post about potential contestants to build audience curiosity. Meanwhile, the makers have yet to respond to these accusations. What is the theme for Bigg Boss 19? According to a report by The Indian Express, the initial buzz around BB 19 suggested a possible 'rewind' theme. However, it has now been confirmed that artificial intelligence will be a defining element of the upcoming season. Along with AI integration, the show is set to undergo multiple format changes, including a major twist in the elimination process—this time, housemates will reportedly hold the power to decide who gets evicted. A source told The Indian Express that contestants will take centre stage this season, playing a dominant role in critical decisions—from evictions and rationing to task selection. With this new structure, the show is expected to shift from 'Bigg Boss chahte hain" to 'Bigg Boss janna chahte hain," marking a fundamental change in tone and power dynamics inside the house.
