Israel claims killing three senior IRGC commanders
According to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, an airstrike in Qom eliminated Saeed Izadi, who led the Quds Force's Palestine Corps. Katz described the operation as a 'major achievement for Israeli intelligence and the Air Force,' highlighting Izadi's role in arming and funding Hamas ahead of the October 7 attacks.
Both the US and the UK had previously sanctioned Izadi for his links to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

In a separate strike, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced the killing of Behnam Shahriari, head of the Quds Force's Unit 190, which handles weapons transfers. Israeli aircraft reportedly targeted his vehicle in western Iran, over 1,000 kilometers from Israeli territory, following intelligence provided overnight by Military Intelligence.
Shahriari allegedly oversaw arms shipments to Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, while also running a financial network using shell companies, money exchangers, and couriers in Turkiye and Lebanon. Israeli officials accuse him of funneling hundreds of millions of dollars annually to allied armed factions.

The IRGC did not issue a statement regarding the reported assassinations.
The strikes come as tensions between Israel and Iran spiral. Iran's Fars News Agency reported Israeli strikes on two sites: a key nuclear facility in Isfahan and a residential building in Qom. The Qom attack reportedly killed a 16-year-old boy and injured two others. Iranian authorities confirmed no radiation leak from the Isfahan site.
Iran's Health Ministry announced nearly 4,000 casualties since Israeli airstrikes began on June 13, with 430 killed and over 3,500 wounded.
In retaliation, the IRGC launched the 18th wave of 'Operation True Promise 3,' claiming it targeted Israeli military assets—including Ben Gurion Airport—using Shahed-136 drones and precision missiles.
The IRGC asserted that its drone formations breached Israeli airspace, evaded interception, and forced civilians into shelters, warning of continued strikes as part of what it called a 'strategic response' to Israeli aggression.
Around 2:30 a.m. local time, air raid sirens sounded across central Israel, including Tel Aviv and the occupied West Bank, after Iranian ballistic missiles were detected. Several were intercepted, but debris from one caused a rooftop fire in a residential area.

Israel strikes Gaza as Palestinian factions unite in Cairo
Shafaq News – Gaza / Cairo Israeli forces intensified their bombardment of the Gaza Strip on Friday, carrying out air and artillery strikes on Gaza City, Khan Younis, and central areas, which resulted in casualties, damaged critical infrastructure, and destroyed residential buildings. In Khan Younis, warplanes targeted residential blocks in Hamad City and Block G, while explosive-laden robotic devices demolished homes in central and northern districts. In the Asda' area, northwest of the city, health sources, cited by Palestinian media, reported one fatality, and strikes on municipal crews repairing sewage lines caused flooding at the Nasser Medical Complex. Central Gaza came under sustained shelling, with strikes hitting Block 12, the northern section of al-Bureij camp, and the Wadi Gaza Bridge area. Al-Awda Hospital said one person was killed and three were wounded in the past 24 hours. In Deir al-Balah, two people were reported killed and several were injured while attempting to collect aid near the Kussufim crossing point. In Gaza City, Israeli forces destroyed homes in al-Zaytoun under intense shelling, while repeated strikes in al-Rimal killed two people and injured others near the Communications Junction. In a joint statement, they condemned Israel's withdrawal from Doha negotiations, warning against what they described as reoccupation plans that could lead to forced displacement. The factions also called for a unified national strategy to counter settlement expansion, land confiscation, and perceived threats to the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Tensions over Marwan Barghouti In Israel, tensions rose in prisons after far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir entered the isolation wing of Ganot Prison and threatened senior Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti, reportedly telling him, 'We will erase you.' Barghouti's family said he appeared gaunt and exhausted, accusing Israeli authorities of pursuing what they termed a 'slow execution' policy. His lawyer demanded assurances for his safety, while several Palestinian leaders denounced Ben Gvir's actions as political intimidation. Barghouti, a prominent Fatah figure imprisoned since 2002, is serving five life sentences plus 40 years for his role in attacks during the second intifada. Despite long-term isolation, he remains an influential figure within the Palestinian prisoners' movement and 'a symbol of resistance for many Palestinians.'

Kataib Hezbollah: weapons of the people remain their safeguard
Shafaq News – Baghdad The Secretary-General of Kataib Hezbollah, Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, called for 'the highest level of readiness' to face any threat, as both Iraq and Lebanon face mounting pressure to disarm powerful armed groups. His statement on Friday, issued during the Arbaeen pilgrimage commemorating the third Shia Imam Hussein bin Ali, came hours after Hezbollah's Secretary-General in Lebanon, Naeem Qassem, vowed the movement 'will never hand over its weapons' and would 'fight until death' against Israel. In Iraq, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have also come under renewed pressure, with parliament unable to pass legislation regulating the PMF's authority due to what officials describe as US opposition. Al-Hamidawi linked the disarmament push to wider regional developments, citing 'the fall of the Syrian government to terrorist factions led by al-Jolani [currently Syrian transitional president Ahmad al-Sharaa],' a 'US-Israeli' assault on Yemen, and a 'treacherous' campaign against Iran. He accused international institutions of acting under 'Zionist and Masonic' influence. 'Resisting occupation and deterring aggression is a legitimate right guaranteed by laws and faith,' he said, adding that weapons are 'the shield for defending land, people, and religious sites.' Al-Hamidawi urged strengthening arsenals with advanced weapons, improving technical capabilities, and raising both defensive and offensive readiness 'to meet any threat.' 'The weapons of people remain their safeguard.' The Kataib Hezbollah leader also reaffirmed that supporting 'the oppressed' is a core mission, naming the Palestinian cause as central and pledging readiness to 'cleanse our holy sites from the defilement of the Zionists.'
