Chandrababu Naidu aims to see poverty-free A.P. by 2029

Development and welfare programmes are being implemented in a planned manner with the aim of eliminating poverty by 2029, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said while virtually participating in a patta distribution programme at Bhagat Singh Colony, 54th Division, SPSR Nellore on Saturday (August 9).
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Ponguru Narayana, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, State Wakf Board Chairman Abdul Azeez, District Collector O. Anand, Joint Collector K. Karthik, Municipal Commissioner Y.O. Nandan, NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy and other attended the programme.
'Minister Narayana brought the issue of house pattas in Bhagat Singh Colony to my attention. As soon as he explained the difficulties faced by the poor, I took steps to distribute the pattas with the approval of the Cabinet,' the CM said, adding that the P4 programme is being implemented to eliminate economic inequalities in the society.
Mr. Narayana said that out of 1,430 people, 633 were being given house pattas in the first phase. He said many people in Nellore are currently staying in government sites and want pattas. He requested them to bring the issue to his attention, clarifying that steps will be taken to grant pattas on land parcels not involved in court cases.
He announced that 11 government high schools in the city will be renovated by the next academic year and that all schools will be modernised through the P4 programme.

He inspected Moolapeta Girls' High School, VRC School, and RSR School in Nellore on Friday. He said schools would be transformed on the lines of VRC School. At Moolapeta Girls' High School, which is being upgraded with CSR funds from DSR Constructions, the Minister interacted with company chairman Sudhakar Reddy and reviewed ongoing works, issuing several suggestions to officials on new building construction. Later, at VRC School, he held a review meeting with Corporation and Education Department officials, as well as teachers. He instructed them not to neglect school maintenance, to ensure students face no shortcomings, and to collect regular feedback from parents. The MAUD minister also examined the modernisation design for RSR School, adopted by MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy. Narayana said that DSR Brothers are modernising Moolapeta Girls' High School, the MP is upgrading RSR School, and more donors are coming forward. 'Our goal is to provide quality, corporate-level education free of cost to thousands of underprivileged children. Education will be the greatest asset we give them,' the MAUD minister stated.

NELLORE: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed that his ultimate goal is to build a poverty-free society by 2029. Participating virtually from Amaravati in a land-title distribution programme held on Saturday evening at Bhagat Singh colony in Nellore's 54th division, Naidu emphasised that his government was working tirelessly for the underprivileged. Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister Dr P Narayana and Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy personally handed over land titles to two women beneficiaries, while Secretariat staff distributed titles to the remaining recipients. Speaking to the colony residents online, Naidu said that Minister Narayana had brought to his notice the decades-old issue of land titles in Bhagat Singh Colony, where poor families had suffered for nearly 40 years without proper documents. He said the Cabinet had approved immediate action to resolve the matter, praising Minister Narayana for efficiently organising the programme. Highlighting his government's Super Six welfare commitments, the Chief Minister said pensions were being distributed without delay, benefiting 64 lakh people with Rs 33,000 crore annually. He also cited the Thalliki Vandanam scheme for mothers, Annadata Sukhibhava for farmers, free LPG cylinders under Deepam 2.0, the reopening of Anna Canteens, and the upcoming free bus travel for women from August 15. Naidu announced the launch of the P4 programme on August 19 to support 15 lakh poor families. Narayana thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of Bhagat Singh colony's residents. He said that while 1,430 titles were due, 633 were being issued in the first phase, with the remainder to follow soon.
