Salman Khan is gearing up for a new phase in his career with a no-nonsense, patriotic military action drama, following the lukewarm response of Sikandar. The megastar has now locked his leading lady for the upcoming film, reportedly based on the Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops in 2020. According to a report by India Today, Chitrangda Singh has been cast as the female lead opposite Salman Khan. This marks the first time the duo will share screen space. Chitrangda, best known for her critically acclaimed performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, later transitioned into mainstream cinema with films like Desi Boyz and item songs like Aao Raja from Gabbar is Back. The untitled film is said to be based on the Galwan chapter from the book India's Most Fearless 3 by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. Salman will reportedly portray Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who led Indian troops during the Galwan conflict. This project is significant for Salman Khan, as it will be his first time portraying a real-life character in a full-length feature.
